I paid Garber $40 for a $10 wiper blade when I was at the Service Department for an NYS inspection. I was told that if I left Garber and bought the wiper blade elsewhere on my own for a reasonable price, I w Service Department for an NYS inspection. I was told that if I left Garber and bought the wiper blade elsewhere on my own for a reasonable price, I would have to pay for two inspections: once for a failed inspection and once for the successful inspection. Another Gotcha moment. This is yet another example how Garber overcharges customers for routine parts and labor. I visit Garber service only as my very last resort, when all my other trusted mechanics are busy. Thanks to Garber for confirming my strategy. More
