This trip to the dealership started off as a routine oil change service appt. Then I started thinking. Dan Strasser in the service department asked me what was wrong I told him I think it's time to talk t change service appt. Then I started thinking. Dan Strasser in the service department asked me what was wrong I told him I think it's time to talk to Harry. He asked me if I was serious.I told him of course I am. So my Mom , sister, and myself made our way into the showroom. Harry was busy working with another customer. So Bill worked with us until Harry became available. This is very funny. Harry questioned me also.Asking if I was kidding or serious about the purchase.I told him I wanted a new Jeep. He talked fiqures with my family and myself. Then Wally came over he said nice to see you guys are you buying or looking ? I gave him the same answer BUYING. The deal was in the works and almost complete. The next stop was Ed Reardon that went very smooth. All the paperwork was filled out, signed, all was said and done. There were no problems at all .I was almost ready to drive off in my New 2012 Grand Jeep Cherokee. I would strongly recommend the dealership to anyone who is getting ready to lease or buy a vehicle. HARRY,DAN STRASSER, WALLY, BILL, ED,ANTHONY, and of course TED my mechanic . They are all part of the best team at a dealership. Take my advise and you will have a good time and laugh your a-- off . I did. SO COME OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON DOWN WOOO----------------- HOOOOOOOOO. Sincerely, Susan P. More
My first car was a jeep purchased here as well as my sisters. Things sure have changed since then! My trip to the dealership started out great. Price was a bit above fair, but I felt I got a fair de sisters. Things sure have changed since then! My trip to the dealership started out great. Price was a bit above fair, but I felt I got a fair deal on my trade-in and they agreed to throw in a 2 year warranty on powertrain and accessories(dvd player, navigation, etc.), so all in all it evened out and I was satisfied with the deal. I didnt think that I got some insane deal nor did i think the dealership was working me over. Harry, my salesman, was knowledgeable and friendly so far. We agreed on the deal and sat down to do paperwork...Let the shenanigans begin! First, we get into a debate about them giving us 2 new keys. The Jeep we looked at only had one key which was broken and unable to be put on a keyring. They finally agree to give us that. Everything seemed fine until i started to sign some of the documents and i noticed that the final number seemed a bit high. I sifted through their breakdown and saw a charge for $2400. Remember that 2 year warranty that was "thrown in" to sweeten the deal? I guess what they meant by that was they were going to be kind enough to allow me to PURCHASE the extended warranty for that additional $2400....how nice of them! At this point I was began to get agitated because they clearly tried to swindle me. Now of course at this point everybody i talk to is playing "little boy lost" and has no idea how this happened and where the breakdown in communication happened. My agitation level begins to rise, but I buy the car and leave the dealer. I ask about the registration and insurance. I am quickly assured that both the registration and insurance will be switched to my new vehicle. I had agreed to drop my car off the next day which had an expensive aftermarket part in it that we had agreed to removing so that i can keep it and install it on the next vehicle i own. I am assured that it will be taken care of and it will all go smoothly. Fast forward to about a month later... The Jeep has to be towed in, which i am not upset about because its a pre-owned and i understand that problems happen on used cars. However, I call my insurance company to get proof of insurance to be able to drive a loaner...that little promise about the insurance turned out to be a lie. I was driving around a completely uninsured vehicle for a month, which in NJ carries a mandatory 6 month suspension of license. Also, the aftermarket part was mysteriously "thrown away" by the dealers prep center. Again, I am agitated but figure its their mistake and they will make it right. Again, foolish me, I am just a lowly customer. Afterall, they already have my money so why treat me like a human? After several attempts to come to a solution on the aftermarket part, the general manager, Wally Darwish, tells my salesman Harry that there is nothing they will do for me and he will not even speak to me or give an explanation and says the aftermarket part was damaged after removal and wouldnt be able to be reinstalled on any other vehicle. Moral of the story, when the money is in your pocket, they are your best friend. When the money gets to their pocket, expect to be treated like garbage. More
I returned a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee coming off a lease 4 months early and leased a new one (same vehicle). Harry Palmer did a great job for us. He was quick, no hassel, no pressure and no headaches. By fa 4 months early and leased a new one (same vehicle). Harry Palmer did a great job for us. He was quick, no hassel, no pressure and no headaches. By far, it was the best car buying experience I ever had. I fully expected to have to go thru 3-4 rounds of haggling with 3-4 different guys coming out from "behind the wall" - that never happened. I told Harry what i was willing to pay and he got it done. He reviewed the features of the truck, sync our phones to the blue tooth. Amazing ... More
Had a very good experience w this dealership when looking for a new Town + Country to lease. I'm not a fan of the whole price dance that's done at dealerships but my salesman, Harry Palmer, and I worked quic for a new Town + Country to lease. I'm not a fan of the whole price dance that's done at dealerships but my salesman, Harry Palmer, and I worked quickly to get to a deal that worked. Harry was very knowledgable about the car and a pleasure to deal with. Anthony, the Finance Manager, was also great and easy to deal with. Lastly, when I had some confusion about down payment and 1st payment, Patrick, the Sales Manager, was very friendly and honored my interpretation, even though the result was less money to the dealership. Clearly, the employees at this dealership are more interested in building long term relationships with clients rather than just getting every penny out of them for a short term gain. More
I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone even if the car was free. The manager is an incompetent moron who threw me off his lot after I wouldn't let him take my car out for a test drive by hims the car was free. The manager is an incompetent moron who threw me off his lot after I wouldn't let him take my car out for a test drive by himself. I was there for a simple quote on a truck with a trade in and he said the only way he could do that is by handing over my keys and him taking for a ride. (I wasn't ready to buy so there was not point to him driving my car at that point) He threatened to have me escorted off of the lot if I didn't leave because "i was not a serious customer" - No other dealership on that block asked to test drive my car without putting numbers on the table. This has seriously put a thought in my head that I will never buy a Jeep and that I should stick to dealerships that hire professional people. I would NEVER step foot in to this place again. My next email to the corporate office Thanks for Nothing Freehold jeep More

I was looking for a 2nd vehicle to use for the winter as my current vehicle (2010 328I BMW) drives poorly in snow. I was looking for something reasonable but reliable. I originally went to Sansone on Rte 1 my current vehicle (2010 328I BMW) drives poorly in snow. I was looking for something reasonable but reliable. I originally went to Sansone on Rte 1 in Avenel because of convenience and their commercials on TV. Boy was I disappointed, the first trip I made was pretty much a give me your card and left, the salesperson was so nonchalant that I didn't want to waste my time. My 2nd visit was on 9/30 they had a bare bones 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport, (last one) and I mean bare bones, no AC, no automatic windows, small tires, etc. etc. I previously saw an advertisement for $199 a month and although the offer expired this vehicle still was a bare bones vehicle, how much more can it cost? The salesman came back with a number and nearly fell off my seat, he indicated the monthly was $517. For what they wanted I could get a brand new 2012 BMW!!! I told him that was crazy, so of course he went back to his manager and the best they came back with was $440! Needless to say I clearly wasn't going to pay $440 for a bare bones jeep and walked out. I was still set on getting myself a jeep at a reasonable cost so I went online and found Freehold Chrysler/Jeep, by the way the only dealer that actually had online prices which was enough reason to take the trip. I met with Harry Palmer who I thought was great. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle, honest, very personable. Now I'm not naive, I know they need to make money but at the same time I knew what I needed in terms of price and amenities. Harry fulfilled all of those and because of that I drove away with a new vehicle and happy. I highly recommend Harry if you're ever looking for a new vehicle, you won't be disappointed. More
I had a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with 170k miles and a 1998 Buick with 40k miles, both of which I wanted to get rid of. I came to this dealership to find out about the trade-in deals, which I saw on their ama Buick with 40k miles, both of which I wanted to get rid of. I came to this dealership to find out about the trade-in deals, which I saw on their amazing commercial. I was greeted immediately by Bill Morgan, and after he learned about my interest in a newer jeep wrangler he passed me off to Harry Palmer who was incredible. Harry is amazing - caring, witty, respectful, patient, informative, etc. With Harry's help & expertise, I left the dealership with a 2010 jeep wrangler. I went there with no intent to buy a vehicle, but I absolutely could not turn down the deal I was getting. I did not feel pressured to buy a car, which is something I feared going into it. We also met Wally Darwish (from the commerical), which was a highlight of the trip. My fiance is definitely going back to Harry next year when we purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee :) You're the best, Harry! More
