Hello- We could not have bypassed the switch to diagnose that the motor on this vehicle's window was also fried. The switch being broken is what fried the motor, and we could only see that after beginning the switch repair because it was inaccessible at initial diagnosis. While we understand it is frustrating that the cost of your repair increased, both repairs need to be completed to restore functionality. Further, you brought your vehicle in on Saturday and you were contacted within one hour of the Repair Order being opened to notify you of the additional motor issue. We were also willing to take a half hour labor cost off of this repair due to not having the motor in stock, which would require you to return. Again, we understand your frustration having a heftier bill than anticipated, but it was not due to any error in diagnosis on our part. Thank you.

I can't accept your explanation. I am an electronic technician and I know you can bypass a switch to test a motor. Your explanation is an insult to my intelligence. Had someone said to me "We made a mistake in the diagnosis, here is a small discount for your trouble", I would have accepted it. Now, I will make sure to tell anyone who asks not to do business with Fred Martin, they are dishonest. Rob Gatian
