Unprofessional - complete joke/waste of time Worst car purchasing experience I’ve ever had. Of course they’re trying to make sales, but I’ve never been so pressured to make a decision. I was foll Worst car purchasing experience I’ve ever had. Of course they’re trying to make sales, but I’ve never been so pressured to make a decision. I was followed into the parking lot while taking a phone call. The “manager” then said “who are you talking to? Which dealership are you listening to offers from?” I was told that “there’s no way the other dealership can give you that deal” and was being pressured into getting a past model just so I could “get into a Jeep for that price.” (The other dealership gave me the deal I was looking for and easily went below “the best possible deal I’d find” from franklin Sussex). I was told “the other dealerships are lying if they are promising a lower price, it’s impossible.” Turns out it was franklin sussex that was lying. The salesperson was as helpful as possible—I wish I could say the same for the managers or whatever title they have. Completely unacceptable unprofessionalism. While being followed into the parking lot on a personal call (in front of other customers) my phone was demanded “give me your phone, let me talk to this salesperson. She doesn’t know who she’s dealing with”. The ‘finance manager’ (again very loose definition of manager) called me an “informed consumer” in air quotes while rolling his eyes-an attempt to trivialize my knowledge of current prices of the same vehicle. He made the term “informed consumer” seem derogatory which I did not know was possible—it was as if he was annoyed that I did not just blindly say “ok” to the deal I was offered. All of this was attempted to be remedied by the often mentioned promise of a spin of a wheel of fortune-like prize wheel—full of $25 gift cards and free oil changes. I must have heard “if you get a vehicle through us, you get to spin the wheel. It was a complete joke. It was so ridiculous that I actually looked around a few times to make sure it was not a hidden camera prank. Very disappointing given the fact that it was recommended by a few people. It’s unfortunate that this is the only dealership in the immediate area. A short drive to another dealership and I was given a better deal than expected, the exact make/model/year I was looking for, and treated with respect. Cant say if I am more surprised at the overall rating of franklin Sussex or the fact that they are still operational with how they treated a customer. More
