Update to my review on January 12, 2021. My daughter in law and I went to Frank Leta Preowned to get my grandson a car for his graduation/birthday gift. We bought a 2007 Toyota Camry with 150K miles for $5 law and I went to Frank Leta Preowned to get my grandson a car for his graduation/birthday gift. We bought a 2007 Toyota Camry with 150K miles for $5K. In April while he was driving home from work at 1:30 a.m. his car broke down. We had it towed to the shop and received the bad new that the engine blew. I had to break the news to my grandson so I picked him up and first thing he asked (in a good mood) what's wrong it need an oil change. I told him no the engine is gone, while driving I notice he kept wiping his eyes which made me more angrier to see my grandson hurt because this dealer don't take pride in selling their used cars by doing a thorough check on every car they put on their lot. I spoke to the sale manager Jeff and he told me to let them look at it. Well, after their research he told me what I already knew and indicated they will put a used engine in the car with 126K miles for $3,800 and the dealer will eat the labor cost. After I research a used engine online with 126K miles I found out they cost around $900. I called back and spoke to Cougar which is the service manager, I asked why are they trying to sell me an engine with 126K miles and charging $3800 for parts only when I can find it much cheaper online. He indicated they are charging for PARTS AND LABOR. I explained what Jeff stated to me and he indicated ma'am we are charging PARTS AND LABOR. I thank him for his honesty. My biggest problem is a large dealership like Frank Leta Acura is putting JUNK CARS on their lots and selling to individuals that don't really have a large amount of money to spend. We now have a $5K paper weight in our possession because Frank Leta Acura decide to sell JUNK CARS to customers. I'm just so UPSET with this entire situation. I have dealt with many dealerships and decided to give Frank Leta a chance and unfortunately this was one of the worst mistakes I've made in my life. DO NOT GO THERE TO BUY USED CARS IF THEY ARE HIGH MILEAGE CARS THE DEALERSHIP ONLY CHANGE THE OIL AND IF NEEDED THE BRAKES. Before the engine went out we had to put front brakes and rotors on the car out of another $500. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE AND THE DEALERSHIP DON'T CARE BECAUSE THEY PUT THE AS-IS ON THESE CARS AND JUST TAKE PEOPLE MONEY. SADLY TO SAY PEOPLE LIKE THIS DON'T HAVE A CONSCIOUS. Bought a used car on 4/28/2021 for the first time,ever. Have not even made the first payment on it, car will not start, talked to receptionist at dealer gave us number to call, still waiting for someone f Have not even made the first payment on it, car will not start, talked to receptionist at dealer gave us number to call, still waiting for someone from dealership to call us back.
