Boucher Mazda literaly CAN'T Change Oil !!! One. One star only. First visit to Boucher Mazda for service with our 2016 Mazda CX3 for oil change and tire rotation at the end of 2017. Seemed like One. One star only. First visit to Boucher Mazda for service with our 2016 Mazda CX3 for oil change and tire rotation at the end of 2017. Seemed like nice folks and probably are. However, without asking, Boucher took it upon themselves to add and charge me for Full Synthetic Oil. With tire rotation and oil change the bill totaled over $80. Shame on you Boucher. Lesson learned, won't be going back. However, after having just left the dealer and only a couple miles away I started smelling burning oil. I thought it was the Caviler in front me but then she turned off and the smell got a lot worse. So I pulled over and lifted my hood to find oil everywhere in my engine compartment. It had already burned onto and stained all the exposed and visible bright alloy or metal. Oil fill cap and dip were tight? I immediately took the car back to Boucher and spoke to service manager Todd. He tried to engine clean the mess but was unable to clean it completely as there was a too much oil. I even went back later that day for a second attempt to clean it. Still Bad. We smelled burning oil for the next three days of use to the point where we drove with the windows cracked open to vent. One year old new car now looked like it suffered a major engine incident/failure resulting from a single, simple Boucher Mazda oil change. Boucher general manager was informed and apologized as well. The service manager Todd stated it was worked on by his best technician, Wow... He said it, take it for what it's worth. Todd didn't refund my money but instead gave me his business card with hand written "next oil change, free." So after the first $80 service I figured I'd go back for the free one. Two oil services for approx $40, thought that was more reasonable. And thought, maybe this was an isolated incident. Shame on me. So here Feb2018 I just took the car back for the "free" syn oil (at least the invoice says full syn) service to which they did. Hassle free. But I was welcomed at Mazda and sent next door to Boucher Kia for the service and was assured it would be fine. This time before I left I lifted the hood only to find MORE SPILLED OIL in my engine compartment! Not as bad as the first OIL DROWNING but still in need of cleanup?!! Come On! More oil on the plastic Mazda engine shroud dripped all the way back to the firewall. Seriously?!! This dealer, Boucher Mazda/Kia (2/2) cannot change oil without giving you your car back in worse condition than it arrived. STAY AWAY from Boucher Mazda/Kia Service. Ridiculously incompetent standard of service. Ruined a next to new car. If I trade it now, I'm only guessing what the appraiser who see's this is going to say and deduct off the car. If I were buying this car and saw this engine I know I'd question what happened to it. It's that obvious. So Mazda wants to re-position themselves in the upscale market with the likes of Acura, Infinity, Lexus and the German's? Not with the Boucher Mazda "Yugo" level of service they won't. Boucher Mazda Service standard is World Class Appalling and Disappointing. They seem like nice people but the work they do is horrific. If they can't get an oil change right... What do they do? Go anywhere else. You've been warned. Or roll the dice, it's only your car. Apologies to Yugo. More
Be careful of this service center! I would not recommend taking a vehicle to this dealership unless you have a warranty on your vehicle. My Mazda's bluetooth stopped working and I took I would not recommend taking a vehicle to this dealership unless you have a warranty on your vehicle. My Mazda's bluetooth stopped working and I took it in to get looked at. When I arrived there was a $150 fee to diagnose the issue that would be charged if I didn't go with the repair. When I asked about this over the phone they didn't mention it. After they looked at my car they said it would be around $600 to fix the problem and that they would need to order a part for it. I asked them if they just unplug the battery would that fix the issue and the worker at the front desk flat out said no. I trusted them in the moment and told them to order to part. About a week later I was curious and tried disconnecting my battery and reconnecting it and what do you know IT WORKED! My bluetooth is running just fine. When I called back they acted happy for me that I was able to reset my system and fix the glitch. When I asked them why they didn't try to fix it in the first place that way and just charge me $600, they brushed off my question and tried saying goodbye. The only nice thing is that they didn't charge me for the diagnostic fee, but I still feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. I personally will never again take my car to a dealership to get fixed unless there's a recall or a part under warranty. More
