This dealer was great when they opened but are no longer customer oriented. They completely ignored when I came into the service department though there was no one else around. They kept working on their paperwork - never said "I will be with you in just a second." It was as if I didn't exist. Finally after about 10 minutes they grudgingly acknowledged my presence. I had 2 VWs and one came off a lease. When I went to the dealership to turn in the car, though I had made an appointment and asked for transportation back to my house, they acted as if I was lying when I said that I had arranged the transportation with the manager they acted as if I was lying and said that they didn't give people rides when they turned in their lease. Finally after begging and groveling, they finally agreed to take me the 3 miles to my house. Another time was going out of town the next morning and would be away for several months & my turn lights suddenly went out. When I called and asked if they could take a look at the car, they were rude and said that they couldn't look at car for several days and didn't care if I was repeat customer. I finally took off the fuse panel and fixed the problem in 2 minutes - loose fuse. I am selling my VW and will never buy this brand again due to poor service - though I have owned 4 VWs in the past. Took my Passat in for its 20K service and some warranty issues as well. I was going out of town on a business trip so they had the car for three days. Upon my return (a Saturday), I went to the cashier to pick up the keys and pay. I realized I had forgotten to give the service writer a discount coupon when I dropped the car off so they had to redo the paperwork. No problem. All of the warranty items had been addressed and repaired, except for one item which they said was operating normally. They also fixed a problem that I didn't ask them to, but really did need to be repaired (under warranty of course). The service invoice was very detailed and described all of the mechanics observations and what was done to repair each problem. I really liked this. This was a much better experience than I have had at some other VW dealers and I will definitely be taking my car to Fox Valley for Service again. More
