I recently purchased a new VW ID Buzz from Fox Valley VW of Crystal Lake, IL. This will be our 5th VW new car purchase. All of these vehicles were purchased at VW dealerships. All were good overall experiences and we always have enjoyed our VWs. However, this last experience with Fox Valley VW of Crystal Lake has really opened my eyes to how things should be done. Our sales person, Mauricio, along with his support staff consisting of Brandon (manager)Max (finance) and Mike (service advisor) really made this process pleasant. There is really a sense of chill; no pressure atmosphere at this dealer. Good music, (I know a subjective comment…but something for everyone) playing in the background, spotless clean, and people that really want to help you when you are ready to move forward with a vehicle purchase. Mauricio took his time with me when I came in for a test drive. After all, going from a ‘14 TDI 6 speed into a modern technological machine takes some patients on the part of the salesman to make sure you are really getting to know an electric platform with all the tech that comes with it. And yes, we are keeping our TDI! When I came back to purchase a couple days later, details that we discussed on price, etc were exactly correct. No surprises and no add ons of which I was not interested. And since I saw this dealership was dog friendly, I brought my dog Peter Potomus along. After all, he loves riding in our current VW, and to have an adventure. Mauricio and staff were happy to welcome both of us while we worked through all the final steps of purchase. Also, post sale I did discover a rattle in the drivers door when the stereo was turned up that I had not noticed in the test drive a few days earlier. I came in the next day, I found a no questions asked approach to solving the problem. Just a sorry we did not catch it, and we will make it correct. Post sale is just as important as the sale. Many dealerships forget this. If you are considering a new VW, or anything else on the lot, I recommend you give Mauricio and Fox Valley VW of Crystal Lake a chance to earn you, and your favourite canine’s business. Thank you!
