He assured me that he would make sure there were not issues. I then received a call where the service department was trying to get out of doing the work by telling me it was normal on every new truck like mine and I could pick my vehicle up. I then went over to the sales department to see for myself. It was not like that at all. I spoke with Jim again and he said he'd get it fixed. When I went to pick up my vehicle I found that they had damaged it in doing the work. They scratched the front bumper badly and cracked my new headlight and wanted to return it to me that way. I then reached out to the service director, Mark Goyne, to see how we could rectify this. He apologized and assured me he would fix the issue but it would have to go to another body shop to do the work the right way and he promised he would call me right back with a date and plan to get it fixed after scheduling an appointment that they never spoke to me about. He never returned my call. I obliged and brought my vehicle back in and to my surprise they had never actually made me an appointment. In fact, the service manager, Jim, ducked and hid from me the entire time I was there even after asking to speak with him. He was literally sitting across the service department on his phone. The service by the service department is appalling on all levels except for the woman that works with loaner vehicles. I would highly advise against using this service department as I personally know that they will lie directly to you to avoid doing work and are not capable of doing work they claim they can. The only upside to this review is for Masters Auto Body who did nice work cleaning up the mistakes that Umansky Toyota made. More
Finance Department and Their Lack of Communication Purchased a Prius here in August 2019. Let me preface this review by stating that the sales department and salespeople were great. Low pressure and will receive no backlash or accountability for any of the issues I have experience over the last 2 months. The finance department, headed by Mr. Sydney, shows a sheer lack of professionalism, business acumen, and customer oriented support that I have ever experienced when purchasing a vehicle. A concern arose from a drop in communication from the finance department and after multiple calls, emails, and texts (all documented for my records) received zero response. Finally got in touch with Mr. Sydney who has no concern for a customer complaint and blatantly ignores email requests, demands all communication go through his office in person, and brings ZERO resolve to a customer who spent close to $30k. After setting multiple deadlines for a resolve and providing snippets of documentation supporting my claim/concern, I was ignored, thus leaving me no choice but to voice my opinion on the practices conducted herein. This staff in finance needs a complete overhaul. Someone who considers themselves a "director" of any department should take a look in the mirror and realize who and what support his salary; his customers. Once the paperwork is signed, hope and pray that all goes well because after the sale support is non-existent. I won't say DON'T buy from here, because the salespeople need your business to support their families, but the back office should be ashamed of how a customer is treated, regardless of how much money is spent. I was working on a deal with Andrew when the used car sales manager who goes by the name of David Pool stuck his nose In he not only low balled my trade he wanted to steel It , the guy was rude and obnoxious I could write a whole page on this guy but Ill spare you the details , why I didn't get up and walk there and then I keep asking myself the same question , a word of warning avoid this David Pool like the plague . Anyway I agreed an OTD deal with the sales manager only to find out later they reneged on the deal and refuse to pay the sales tax , even though they sent me the plates, tags, and registration . There are plenty of other dealerships on Richmond rd In Charlottesville do your self a favor and buy from them . More

I road around the lot and she showed back up to say , I see you are still looking and I wanted to give you my card. (That's it) walked away and lit another cigarette. Today I seen the price had changed from the 37350. To 35275. My best friend and I went there again today after work. We started out on a very positive note dealing with T.O. and Bryce Griffin, both very professional and courteous! Bryce road with us and explained about features the vehicle offered. We discussed price with him and T. O. After the test drive. The vehicle did not have one feature I want , being the remote start. The price being $35275. I offered to pay $33500. And them add the remote start. They took this to the used car mgr, he could not do the price, at this point we were 5 percent apart, I offered to split that and I would pay 34387.50 and then add the remote start . Bryce went to used sale mgr again with this. He (David Poole showed up where my best friend and I were see sitting and was very abrupt and abrasive in saying , I can't do this and wanted to tell us how they did their pricing and even accused us of not seeing the 35275. Price. We had taken a screenshot. He stated to us that the price went back up at 3 pm today on Umansky web page to 37,000. I have9:40 pm tonight Umansky website showing the 35275. The 1775 . We were apart (5%) I offered additional 2 1/2percent and the used car sales mgr would not make the deal for a difference of $888. Less! Lost deal over 2. 1/2 percent . I mean really . I can now truly see why people say what they do, but I like spending our money locally and I truly believe it was only because of David Poole that this did not happen! Bryce and T.O. are great ASSETS to Umansky, it is unfortunate that the same can not be said for the used car sales manager. More
Leslee Parsons is the very best, most qualified and helpful sales person I have ever worked with. She has done everything possible to assist us in acquiring the veh is the very best, most qualified and helpful sales person I have ever worked with. She has done everything possible to assist us in acquiring the vehicle we wanted. I've never experienced another person who would go so far out of their way to accommodate a potential buyer, and in this case locating an out of state dealer who had the car we wanted in the rushed schedule we presented her with. I had initially given the service dept. a poor review. After contacting the service manager he responded by rectifying the situation to my satisfaction. I am therefore editing my review. Thank you Umansky Toyota Team for your excellent customer service in handling this issue. In the future I hope their labor and parts costs become more reasonable in general. Sadly, this seems to be a problem with most dealers I have dealt with over the years. More

It’s not Browns anymore. You won’t love the service. I was a devotee of Brown’s service. They were great. Always trusted them. Since Umansky bought it watch out. Upselling heaven. All of a sudden you need AC filters, radiator flushes, with just an inspection. My son had his Tacoma inspected and they refused to pass it without hundreds of dollars of brake work. He just had it serviced 2 months ago at another dealer who said brakes were fine. It’s a shame. Browns was so good. I was about to trade in my Prius for a new one and even trade in my Ford truck for a Tundra just so I could get it serviced by Browns. They were that good. Not Umansky. They are not to be trusted. I’ll be buying my new vehicles elsewhere. Stay far far away. More
