We used the dealership's website and sent them a message. Four days later no reply. Again sent a message on the website and within minutes a sales person called thinking we were interested in buying a car. He said the service dept. was closed but he would tell his sales manager our concern. Surprise, sales can respond in minutes, but service can't respond in days. We are considering having future service performed at an independent shop that will comply with the factory's oil and filter specifications. We were pleased with the sales personnel when we bought the SUV, but that's were it stopped. What is the general manager doing? More

Firstly, they didn't have the second key, so they had to order a second. When my wife called, the parts department hadn't heard of it and the sales/parts people blamed each other. Next we paid for the trunk cover since it didn't come with the car. We paid for it before we left the lot. 3 weeks later, we received an invoice for both the secind key that was supposed to come with the car AND the trunk cover we already paid for. Thirdly, we got the license plate and registration days before the temporary tags expired. Only, they registered the car in the wrong parking zone in DC. We won't be back, not for service or the next car. More

Asked about having my mechanic look at car-who was 1 hour away,he said no but if you had local mechanic within rockville area ,ok,car needed brake pads,rotors,but a car will still stop fine,I know for sure. .Then asked about price ,he said we do not discount price-he also said they will fix car completely for 1900 more!!!! I said have a good day,and he said he shall have a good day! Big ego who only wanted to sell this car with 1900 work needed with no discount ,and no offer to bring car for my mechanic to look over.Selling a 05 Accord for 7000 that was abused and neglected is a wrong way to do business.,just to get his commission. Bottom line-even though Fitzgerald states on website Fitz way is best--it is the same greedy dealer you see almost all the time when shopping for car who wants to sell to people who know nothing about cars,They do not want to deal with someone who knows what a car is worth ,and what it cost to fix. BE SURE TO SHOP AROUND TO FIND A GOOD DEAL. / as there was none at this dealer. More
Don't get a service contract with them Not impressed at all. this was my first time taking my car in for service since I bought it. They never bothered to call me and tell me that my car was ready. The following day I had to call and inquire as to the status. The person who was handling me and my car "claims" to have called but there were no voicemails or missed calls on my phone. When my husband went to pick it up the car was not vacuumed or cleaned like they said it would be. And the car is now leaking oil, apparently from them overfilling it. I am not sure how dumb you have to be when it comes to filling the oil, but even I can do that (I have done that without overfilling it). When I called today to speak to the manager, the people who answer the phone transferred me to the service manager who was not in today. I am waiting for a call back then never comes. I only know I was transferred to the manager that was out because my husband spoke to the other manager. Now I am waiting for my call back to get an explanation as to how they can be so terrible at what they do. I really don't know why I bought a car from them or a service contract. It will be my last. So not impressed at all. Not to mention the people who answer the phone are not very pleasant. They are the first person a caller speaks to and they are just rude. I miss Saturn with their great customer service and car service. More
still waiting I purchased a vehicle from this dealership this past Saturday. That essentially gave them two and a half days to do what they said needed to be done to the vehicle (which, from what I understood would just be to clean it.) Well, here it is Tuesday night and not only is the vehicle not here but I never received a call letting me know that the vehicle wouldn't be here between the hours I chose AND the vehicle is still apparently not 'clean enough'. My wife was told tonight that it can still be delivered tonight (that was at 8pm and we live 1.5 hours away) but that it 'won't be clean when it gets here'. Completely unprofessional and ridiculous. If you go to this place, don't be fooled. Looking at the reviews, I'm clearly not the only one who's dealt with this bs. Never will I recommend fitzgerald to anyone. It's not worth the headache. More

This was our first new car purchase, and first major purchase as a married couple. Other dealers that we visited made us feel nervous about getting taken advantage of due to our inexperience buying cars. But we really felt that Harry was trustworthy, honest, patient, and that he had our interests in mind when answering our questions. He was also very knowledgable about Subaru cars and competitors' cars that we were also considering. Ultimately we were very happy with our experience with Harry, and we love our new Outback. We also believe we got a fair price on the car that was lower than other dealerships' offers. We highly recommend this dealership and working with Harry. More

Managed a toxic customer/case very professionally! My Subaru Forester 2014 purchase started on January, 2014. I sent e-mails to all the Subaru dealers around the area, which includes: Fitzgerald Auto Mall, White Flint in Kensington, MD Fitzgerald Auto Mall, Gaithersburg, MD Herb Gordon Subaru in Silver Spring, MD Stohlman Subaru in Tyson's Corner, VA Farrish Subaru, Fairfax, VA Sheehy Subaru, Springfield, VA We were initially looking at the base Forester 2014, 2.5i CVT. We specified that we wanted the Jasmine Green one. I received the lowest initial quote at Fitzgerald. Unfortunately, Subaru was getting all their base 2014 models to convert to the 2015 model with an equipped Rear View Camera / Multi-color display. It was very difficult to find one that was Jasmine Green. Every other dealer did not have or were not able to find a way to get me that specific color, except for Ms. Francis. We were very specific with the color and cost (no accessories, additional stuff that we did not want). When push came to shove, Ms. Francis and her manager found us exactly what we wanted (we upgraded our initial plan for the base model to the Premium trim). We were given approximately 8-9% below the invoice price. It was still the lowest quote compared to the other dealers. All the other dealers did not or could not find me the Green Forester Premium except Fitzgerald: Subaru. Ms. Francis remained very cordial and helpful to us, even if it was obvious that we were frustrated and angry at the dealings (can't find what we wanted). She worked with us despite our attitude. She was very professional! She would meet us even in her off-days! The car purchase was just in time before my wife gave birth to our first child! To anyone planning to purchase a Forester, or any other Subaru car, come here! Ask for Ms. Francis! More
I initially went to purchase a used Subaru Outback because I didn't think that I could afford a new model. Kimberly showed me that the 2014 was at the same price as the 203 used that I was looking to because I didn't think that I could afford a new model. Kimberly showed me that the 2014 was at the same price as the 203 used that I was looking to purchase. No brainer there! She was friendly and knowledgeable and professional. If she did not know the answer to a question, she admitted as much and found the answer. The test drive was great. Kimberly wanted to be sure I was comfortable with the Outback and more importantly wanted to be sure I would be happy with my purchase. She worked with me on financing to be sure I would be comfortable with my monthly payments. There was no pressure. My satisfaction was what was important. She even called me about a week after my purchase to check up to see that I was still happy and offered to set up a time to go over any of the features in my Outback that I did not know how to use. She is a real asset to the company! This was the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had! More
