Marcus was truly what a customer wants from a sales associate. This was my 2nd time with Marcus. I am from New Hampshire and he makes the trip worthwhile. On March 5th I arranged to purchase a Hyundai Venue from First Hyundai for my daughter. I paid an initial deposit of $1000 on the car on March 5th. At that time, I explained to the sales representative, Ma First Hyundai for my daughter. I paid an initial deposit of $1000 on the car on March 5th. At that time, I explained to the sales representative, Marcus, that we would need the car by April 3rd at the latest because my daughter needed to drive it back to Michigan after Easter break. On Tuesday, March 30, my daughter and I met with Marcus, completed all paperwork, and gave the dealership a cashiers check as full payment plus taxes and fees. The next day, First Hyundai informed my insurance agent that they could not find the title for the car I purchased! On Friday, April 2, Marcus called to inform me, for the first time, that First Hyundai had applied for a duplicate title "about a month ago" and it still had not arrived and would not arrive in time for my daughter to drive to Michigan. First Hyundai offered to sell me an alternative car with similar features for $1,000.00 more. I could not believe that any dealership would be so unscrupulous as to sell me a car when they knew they did not have a title. It’s outrageous. And, after their deception was exposed, they had the nerve to offer to sell me a more expensive car at an increased cost. I immediately called and left a voice message for Eric Moura, the First Hyundai Sales Manager, but he has not returned my call and my daughter flew back to Michigan with an expensive plane ticket that we should not have needed to purchase, and we'll still need to purchase or rent her a car in Michigan. At this time, the money we saved to purchase a car for my daughter is being held by First Hyundai for a car that they did not have a valid title to sell. More
Dealership was awesome. Nice staff and super easy to work with. Everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable, I felt comfortable that I was going to get the best car to fit my needs. Salesman boasted that I should “try” going to Hyundai or post an online review ,one day after selling me the car. So here it is. Really bad customer service. Do not buy from this dealership. If you value being at loggerheads with management and sales for the duration of car sale and beyond go right ahead. Think beyond just the sale, if your new car has issues will they have your back? They have severe Non-Transparency issues. Heres some tactics we faced: a)Salesman sent a fellow salesman masquerading as manager when I wanted to speak to them. b)Salesman was consistently rude to three separate individuals who visited the dealership with me as per their experience. c)Staying an entire day to have your new car issues looked at while salesmen give you the runaround and make sales while you wait. d)Management denying issues with a new car while service department confirmed them. (after staying entire day) e) I was not allowed to meet the sales manager to make my case about issues with the new car and treated poorly by sales staff to leave. More
What a let down. The entire staff there is corrupt. We somehow got paired with the biggest xxxxx. salesman that gives a horrible name and reputation to that profession; James Clanton. This guy will promise you anything to get your money, then he does great at avoiding you. Delivered a vehicle that was not what we had paid for, and never made it right. After numerous requests, not only himself but also the rest of the staff avoided us. I'm surprised that guy has made it as far in life as he has in the automotive industry, as he clearly lacks professionalism and customer relation skills. Do yourself a favor, and take your money and business somewhere else. This place isn't worth the frustration. Bunch of incompetent thieves. Horrible experience. The worst car buying experience ever. Be careful when you finance through them and they offer the automatic payments! I’ve been getting letters and emails saying my payments are late or returned insufficient funds! I haven’t missed a single payment. I try calling Hyundai finance and they say I have to call the dealership because it’s done through a third party... ummm what?? I set it up at YOUR DEALERSHIP! Call the dealership and no one answers, leave a message, no one returns the call! So here I am making my car payments yet I’m being told my payments are being returned!! Total xx. I am very disappointed!!! More
Working with Marcus was a breath of fresh air. Totally the opposite of the often stressful, unpleasant, and pressure-filled car buying experience. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, but not pushy at all. I didn’t feel like he was playing games or using tactics on me, but rather was trying to help me and meet my needs. He did, and he got my business. I also appreciated that he was very responsive to me regarding some of the details post-sale like inspection, registration, etc. in my experience that is not always the case, and I appreciated that Marcus had time for me even after the deal was done. Could not recommend more . . . Dealers would be well-served to have more salespeople like Marcus. More
