Guess it's time to add to the negative reviews. This was the first place I looked when I started shopping. The salesperson, Louis, was pleasant but seemed to ask the same question numerous times. I looked the first place I looked when I started shopping. The salesperson, Louis, was pleasant but seemed to ask the same question numerous times. I looked at the 2011 Accent (fuel economy was the biggest issue for me) and was told the pricing on a trade-in would make the price difference for a 2011 Elantra very miniscule. The sales manager, Sam, "ran the numbers" and came up with a very impressive sales price for the Elantra, with a generous allowance for my trade-in. So far so good, but of course I should smell a rat. There was high-pressure sales tactics to get me to buy the car THAT DAY, but of course I walked to see what other places have to offer. The car and the price were good, however, and I wanted to finalize the deal. I sit down for another 2.5 hours (after 2 hours on the first day), fill out all the paperwork with Louis, get the trade-in appraised, etc. I've filled out the financing paperwork and the finance manager comes over, introduces himself, and says he'll be with me in five minutes after he runs my credit report. AT THIS POINT: Sam comes to me with my salesperson Lou and says that they've made a mistake and the price quote was for the 2010 Elantra, not the 2011, and they cannot offer the price they did before...in fact it will be almost $3000 higher. I point out that the price worksheet clearly has the MSRP for the 2011 Elantra (which was on most of the ones in the lot) and if he's the sales manager, how would he not know that's the price of the new 2011? He has no answer but that he has 2010's in that price range. I reply, Yes, but not at that exact MSRP. He again makes a big show of apologizing. Then, his "offer" on the "2010" actually drops almost $1000 more than the initial figure he claimed was "the best possible deal" the previous time I was in. Bottom line, it's the old bait and switch after they get you so far in you might think you have no other option considering the time invested. I'm not the patsy who will take his 2010 that he couldn't sell last year off his hands, so it's time to move on to a different dealership. I still like the car, but there's NO WAY I'm dealing with these crooks again. More
I purchased a 2009 Elantra last year. The car is great and the price was very good. We bought the car and were told that we had free inspections for the life of the car. I brought the car in for the first and the price was very good. We bought the car and were told that we had free inspections for the life of the car. I brought the car in for the first inspection yesterday and they tell me that that deal is no good because I didn't bring my car to them for every over-priced oil change that they offer. So even if I did bring it there for the oil change the inspection is really not free and actually more expensive than anywhere else. I am quite upset about being lied to. When I was told by the service rep that this was not going to happen I asked if he was willing to risk me making a scene over $29... His first reaction was to mention calling the police which tells me that this is not the first time that something like this has happened. I should have known better because when we were buying the car there were three salesman that were "working" with an elderly woman at the table next to me. Those three salespeople were so nasty to this woman that it made me uncomfortable, the only reason I didn't walk out then is that the price was good. I can't stress how awful this service was especially coming back after purchasing the car the people there are very unhelpful and quite nasty. If you have already put your money down they want nothing to do with you. I would rank this dealership very far from "First." More
Welcome with open arms when you walk in, make the deal and close, that is where the courtesy ends. I am a "car buyer". In the last eight years, I have bought four new vehicles with the last one being a and close, that is where the courtesy ends. I am a "car buyer". In the last eight years, I have bought four new vehicles with the last one being a Santa Fe. The vehicle I bought here was actually a year old and was being driven by the sales manager. My first issue after purchasing it was that it had no floor mats. The salesman told me he couldn't include them but would help me get them for half price. When I showed up to pick them up, I was told I had to pay full price. I have been in many dealerships and while I am quite certain no one really cares about me after I buy the car, acting like you don't is a completely different story. When you walk in First Hyundai if you have already made a purchase, they will look at you like you have ten heads. I am currently trying to get back a refund on gap insurance (I stupidly purchased) after recently refinancing. After three days of trying to reach the finance manager, it took a nasty message to get a return phone call. I finally got the paperwork done with him back on March 3rd. He told me the company was behind in refunds but to follow up if I didn't received anything in 6 to 8 weeks. Well here we are on June 26th and not only is my status still active with the insurance company, my most recent phone call to the finance manager got me absolutely no where. While I understand I called on a Saturday, he couldn't have been more rude to me when he told me to call back Monday. My husband and I both own a Hyundai and he is ready for the beautiful new Sonata. Let me tell you where we are not buying a car and where we wouldn't refer someone. I wouldn't go to First Hyundai for a vehicle if they gave it to me!! More
I purchased a car for my daughter on March 16th and found that Peter did not fit the negative reviews of other salespeople I found online. He was newer to the brand but knowledgeable about the product and ke that Peter did not fit the negative reviews of other salespeople I found online. He was newer to the brand but knowledgeable about the product and kept us entertained throughout the process. Negotiating was easy and it was only one back and forth by the time I got to the payment I wanted and had researched. I only give a 4/5 for Overall because the registration late (the dealerships fault) but Peter brought it directly to my house once it was in his hands. We drove home in our new Sonata the same day and are very pleased to see the new quality in the Hyundai brand (we had one in the 90s that was NOT good but this new one is a whole different animal). BEWARE....BEWARE....BEWARE - DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS CAR DEALERSHIP. We put a down payment($3638) for a leased vehicle. We decided not to go thru with the deal because so many things went wrong. I cannot DEALERSHIP. We put a down payment($3638) for a leased vehicle. We decided not to go thru with the deal because so many things went wrong. I cannot begin to tell you what they have put us thru - they "yes" you to death just to get your business. They were nice in the beginning but were insulting and nasty after we changed our minds because of what they said they would do and didn't. We found a better deal elsewhere. Sam, the manager, told us he was not going to give us back our money until he sold the car we were going to buy so I asked him "what if you don't sell the car for a year"?? He said then he would give the money back to us then. I would never give this dealership a good reference. STAY AWAY FROM FIRST HYUNDAI IN NORTH ATTLEBORO!!!!!!! More
This is the BEST experience that I have had in a car dealership! Anthony greeted us 20 min. before the dealership closed, and within 10 min. we had a deal on a 2009 Hyundai Azera. On a subsequent visit, dealership! Anthony greeted us 20 min. before the dealership closed, and within 10 min. we had a deal on a 2009 Hyundai Azera. On a subsequent visit, Anthony teasingly looked at his watch when he saw us, knowing that things would progress quickly. We felt that we got an excellent car at a terrific price, from a great dealer.
