Quality of work is difficult to define since this was a routine maintenance which entailed an oil change. However, the cost is very expensive, but because my vehicle is a diesel, I was apprehensive of havi routine maintenance which entailed an oil change. Both Justine and the other gentleman (didn't get his name) were very friendly, courteous, and amiable and exhibited willingness to assist me regarding any concerns. Additionally, they helped meet my needs by allowing me to pick up the vehicle the next day which was a Saturday with the sales department staff. The staff who I dealt with to pick up the car were friendly, courteous, and expedient in providing me the keys to my vehicle as well as the receipt and info found on the point inspection. Just like the other reviews I read online before visiting the dealership, Uptown is fantastic. John Holcomb is so efficient, knowledgeable and considerate. The people in the back must be too. They found three other things that were broken that we didn't even know about and fixed those also, after our approval of course. We drove four hours to get our 1999 Eurovan serviced and they had to either find or make the parts to fix it and we drove back home through snow, sleet, rain and wind with no problems. I called uptown VW to make an appointment for my 2001 Passat for some badly needed repairs. I was expecting to wait a week or so before I would be able to get in, but the woman told me I would be able t Passat for some badly needed repairs. I was expecting to wait a week or so before I would be able to get in, but the woman told me I would be able to come in the next day. Wow, what a concept! After the initial eval of what I needed I decided to have all the work done which wo ill take a few days. I was given a loaner vehicle which my kids loved because it was like having a new car. I could see myself owning the loaner car. The repairs that were done went beyond my expectations. Components that were disassembled were replaced because that what is what is supposed to be done. I feel my 12 year old car is in good shape now and I am hoping to reach the 200k mark. I know with a team such as tours at uptown I can achieve my goal. Thank you for a great experience. When I came on Friday for my 1000 mile check-up, I was promised 45 minutes, and right at the 45 minute mar is very friendly and I am helped quickly.
