Last week I decided to drive 2 hours after work to visit my sister, who has recently finished chemo and radiation and was not feeling well. I began driving at about 7:10 pm on the turnpike south bound and at approximately 8:15 pm my vehicle alerted me of a tire malfunction. I pulled to the side of the turnpike to call Mercedes roadside assistance and after telling the operator my location, the first thing she said was “Oh I have to check and see if we service the turnpike?”. I waited a minute and was told you did and she would put in a ticket for a tow truck and someone would be contacting me to keep me updated. She also informed me I could drive my vehicle another 50 miles, closer to the exit on the flat tire and it would be easier to find a towing company to tow my vehicle. I could not believe what I was hearing and from such a reputable company like Mercedes Benz. If this is the case, why not inform your customers who are paying for luxury vehicles and are expecting top notch service? Needless to say, I drove my vehicle approximately another 50 miles trying to make it to my exit. I was 3.4 miles away from my exit when I felt I was driving on the rim of my car and pulled to the side of the turnpike again. I was alone, it was pitch dark, and I was terrified. I called roadside again, explained I drove as far as I believe I could because I no longer felt safe driving the vehicle. I explained I was 3.4 miles away from my exit and could they please send someone ASAP. I waited in my vehicle for over 2 hours, no updates, no nothing. Every time I called I was told no one had picked up the work order and about 15 different towing companies were contacted. I was advised to try and drive my vehicle past the exit and it would be easier for someone to come to my aid. I was in tears and terrified! I drove my vehicle another 6 miles and called roadside to update them with my new location. A tow truck came 2 hours later. I waited 5 hours for a tow truck! By this time my sister was feeling so ill that she ended up driving herself to the ER and was admitted. I made it to the hospital at almost 2am. My vehicle was taken to Mercedes of Fort Pierce later that morning. The service advisor there informed me my warranty would not pay for my tire because it was an alignment wear that caused my tire to blow. Like many women, I do not know much about cars, so this is the reason why I purchased an extended warranty and a tire package for my vehicle. My car was last serviced in January 2019 (2017 Mercedes AMG C43). When I brought it in I requested my tires be looked at because I was having to put air in my tires often. I was told everything looked good (There were about 10k miles on the car). Not once was I advised about an alignment, tire rotation, or anything of that sort. As a single woman and I think I speak for many women, we are depending on this feedback when having our vehicles serviced. Why do you think I would choose to purchase an extended warranty or tire package if not to protect my investment. I was forced to pay for a new tire, was advised the other front tire needed replacement as well, and damaged my rim from driving on the flat. My vehicle currently has 16k miles, I drive it to work occasionally and have never felt the alignment to be any different than when I first started driving it. I informed the service manager at Mercedes dealer of Lakeland (Rick Greene) and after sending him pictures of the tire and service report, his response was that he reviewed the inspection report I provided and still felt that it was not an issue that was present when it was serviced. He send me a screenshot of the inspection performed in January, with no name or vehicle info and illegible hand written numbers. I was offered a $200service credit towards future service or parts purchased because of the unacceptable extended wait from roadside assistance. He did not feel they did a very good job in that regard. I want you to know this has been one of the worst days of my life and maybe if that would have been your wife, mother, grandmother or daughter you would see it that way also. We shouldn’t call it work, because it was more of a friendly conversation with P.J. He first listened to our interests and then responded with selections. Fields didn’t have the exact E 450 we wanted so P.J. found one at another dealership and had it delivered to Fields for our inspection. After settling on an acceptable price, we were able to depart with a new Mercedes and good memories of the experience. We agree that in 42 years of buying cars together, this was the best car buying experience to date. More

Sales First time buying a Mercedes. Actually went a year ago just to look but I knew I wasn’t ready to buy yet. PJ Nunez did not pressure me and let me take First time buying a Mercedes. We went to Fields Mercedes in Lakeland with the hopes of getting a n My wife & I would like say thanks to PJ Nunez for a great car buying experience. We went to Fields Mercedes in Lakeland with the hopes of getting a new E class for my wife. It was a fairly quick and easy experience, as PJ was able to locate a car with all the options my wife wanted. While the car was not at their dealership, they were able to make a deal with another Mercedes dealership and have the car sent to Lakeland.
