My daughter, a college student at the local college, brought her (my) car into the dealership for a simple oil change. 2 hours later I get a charge for $431 for an $89 oil change. The dealership pushed a Throttle Body service and Wheel alignment on her. The car is a 2023 with 23.5k miles. After texts with the advisor (and a promise I would get a call from the Service Manager which did not happen) I was told Kia recommends TB service EVERY 15k miles and an alignment EVERY 10k. That is beyond absurd. Mechanics recommend a TB service at 75k and alignment AS NEEDED. The maintenance schedule in the owners manual does not recommend EITHER and states that most likely an alignment will never be needed (Of course we know that is not the case but not until new tires/parts or damage). The service department saw a college girl pull in with her father's credit card and took advantage of her. This is an example of upselling and predatory sales tactics. Derek was her advisor, FYI. "Family" Kia has lost 3.5 years of my business while she completes college as I have zero confidence they will take care of her and the car in an HONEST manner. STAY AWAY More

The service department totally misdiagnosed an HEV, actuator and transmission issue estimating the repairs to be up to $5800, with a suggestion to replace the transmission. Turns out their diagnosis seemingly did not include checking the hydraulic fluid reservoir, which was empty. Very basic, first thing any real mechanic would check. Filled at home, and the car now runs perfectly. Now to find out why the reservoir was empty … it is either a leak, or it was evacuated and not refilled. It has not shown any leakage since I refilled it, and it is still full, so, I am putting this on the dealership. Marius, the GM and owner, the service director and “Spike” a service desk guy, are sorely lacking in the communications dept, having not returned calls or answered emails … ever after numerous attempts. Need more info and facts, contact me and you see it all. More
What a bad business practice coming from the service dept. Calling me after my oil change and telling me my free contract is expired and demanding payment over the phone after the job was done and I was dept. I bought my car a few weeks back, however I'd come in for some service and received an excellent detail for the second time, I was even able to personally meet the owner himself who said to bring my car up a some service and received an excellent detail for the second time, I was even able to personally meet the owner himself who said to bring my car up anytime for a detail since I'm doing business with family Kia. I stopped in today but ended up having to run to a meeting, the men were hard at work and the owner was working as well what great integrity he has. My father was in the car business and he ALWAYS said detail is the heart of the house without them the business just doesn't run! Kudos kiddos , and God bless More
Not having good luck with Family Kia of Saint Augustine service department. Brought my 2021 kia Sportage nightfall edition for the second time to have the black metal window trim replaced due to the black service department. Brought my 2021 kia Sportage nightfall edition for the second time to have the black metal window trim replaced due to the black coating coming off. I waited about a month then I called and was told my parts have been there, no one called to inform me of this the parts person said he would inform the service department and have them call to set up an appointment. No one ever called once again. So I called to set it up myself, only to be told it would be at lease three weeks before I could get in. Well today 7/11/23 I had the repairs done only to find one rubber window seal torn and one trim piece dented, when I showed my adviser he commented they must have come that way and that he would reorder them. My question is why install damaged parts? So I guess I will wait once again to hopefully have my car properly repaired. Not happy having to return multilabel times to have this done! More
