There is a reason why this dealership is rated so low. My experience was one of poor maintenance performance. They took over 2 days to diagnose the problem (incorrectly, by the way), then the wee low. My experience was one of poor maintenance performance. They took over 2 days to diagnose the problem (incorrectly, by the way), then the weekend intervened. 6 days later I pick my vehicle up and the real issue (transmission failure) has not been fixed. What this feels like is that the maintenance team there, in aggregate, is lazy and not held accountable; or at least the mechanic who was assigned to my vehicle is not. Once again my Tahoe is not available for me to drive, but this time I am having it towed to a reputable, highly-rated dealership in Napa. I suggest that anyone else do the same. One positive: the gentleman that checks the vehicles in is professional and easy to talk to. It looks like he has his stuff together. More
Raising the price mid-negotiation! What!? Fairfield Chevrolet listed a car online at $9995. I called them and negotiated $9000, and they said they'd get back to me the next day. The next day, Fairfield Chevrolet listed a car online at $9995. I called them and negotiated $9000, and they said they'd get back to me the next day. The next day, they called me back, agreed to $9000, and wanted to finalize the deal schedule paperwork and pickup. I explained I have a medical condition and would like to have it done remotely due to Covid, which they were very inflexible with. At the salesperson's suggestion, I then got on the phone with a manager to discuss how to make the deal work remotely, and he raised the price back to $9995. I then mentioned I saw it listed online for $7995 only four days ago. He refused to honor that price or the previously-agreed upon $9000. I called back one last time later in the day to attempt to negotiate a deal, and they held firm at $9995, even though they had previously offered the car at $7995 publicly and $9000 to me. They still wouldn't budge, inexplicably, and only when I said I would be writing a Yelp review did they finally agree to $9000 again, but it felt like pulling teeth. I asked them why they had to make this process so difficult and argumentative, and he accused me of harassing them and then hung up on me. They called me once and I called twice, to try and buy a car at the agreed-upon price... that is not harassment! This business has unethical business practices! Do not do business with them! More
Horrible, rude and extremely inconsiderate sales manager. Do not buy here! Or lease here! They will not take the vehicle back if you do not buy from them. Do not buy here! Or lease here! They will not take the vehicle back if you do not buy from them. More
CUSTOMER SERVICE DISGRACE - WATCH OUT FOR SNEAKY STUFF I was referred to this dealership from a GM employee and walked in with a GM Suppliers discount code for family. I called and asked if it applied to the vehicle I wanted to purchase, I was told it was. Instead of using the code, they gave me a little discount instead which benefitted them to make more money off me. Sadly, until after I bought the car I didn't know EXACTLY to the penny how much I should have saved, technically I am owed about $1800. Moving into finance, I was told I had to purchase GAP insurance when I asked what the line charge was. Basically, again getting taken advantage of and being told it was required when signing. I have since called the dealership three times both on Monday and Tuesday, leaving a voice mail and two messages for the finance lady Naveeda, and she has yet to call me back three days later. On the second phone call, the gentleman even said "didn't you call Monday". All I can say, is I should have done my research and I will not be reccommending FAIRFIELD CHEVROLET! Customer service is horrible!! More

The check engine light came on, suspiciously in just the amount of miles I needed for the vehicle to do a full emissions check. So it's as if someone cleared the code and tried to sell it. And there's a way to check cleared codes, I'm not dumb. The car was not smogged, which I unfortunately found out after I bought it. So they had to fix the issue which the check engine light and smog it. Thankfully it's good now but I should have never had to go back and do all that. Oh and Red the manager doesn't know anything, my 5 year old could do a better job. He didn't know anything about the smog issue and I had to explain things to him multiple times, it's like he just started working there. Oh and the guy that does the financing sucks, he failed to even let me know my car came with a warranty, the women working there one day told me about that. Kind of concerning. Oh and when I was there, they were selling a woman a car that looked like sh**. They didn't even bother to detail it before selling it, it looked like something in an impound lot. I actually requested to speak to the General Manager, Mike or whatever, never got a call back. He's too scared to talk to a mad customer so he has his minions do it for him, pathetic excuse for a manager, but not surprising because most of these reviews are terrible, and that is a reflection of leadership. The only decent person I've dealt with in all this is Ray in the Service Department, he's awesome and the only decent employee you people have working there. I am also reporting this dealership to anyone I can, including the DMV and anyone else that has business knowing what a scummy dealership this is. Lesson learned to never shop here and I will let everyone know not to. More
DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SNAKES! Save your time and money and DON'T GO TO THIS DEALER! THEY ARE SNAKES!!! They are the epitome of sneaky salesmen. We went down to look at a used Tahoe Save your time and money and DON'T GO TO THIS DEALER! THEY ARE SNAKES!!! They are the epitome of sneaky salesmen. We went down to look at a used Tahoe on Saturday afternoon, liked it, and they ran our credit and came back with all the info on what our payment would be. We live over an hour away, so said that we would go get my car (which we were trading in) and be back the next morning to finish off the deal. We even offered to leave a deposit to make sure they knew we were serious. OVER NIGHT, they raised the price of the Tahoe almost $1,600 online! Before we made the drive back down there, my husband wanted to make sure they were going to honor the price that they gave us the day before. THEY REFUSED TO HONOR THAT PRICE!!! AGAIN, SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE THAT TREATS CUSTOMERS BETTER, IS ETHICAL, AND WHERE THEY ARE NOT SNAKES!!! More
Breaking CA law (see below) by not advertising the actual price of vehicles and communication from the sale people here is the least professional I have ever dealt with. They also do not accurately list price of vehicles and communication from the sale people here is the least professional I have ever dealt with. They also do not accurately list prices, so don't bother wasting your time. I spent over a week trying to get specifics from the sales staff with never more than a sentence response with little to no details that were requested. Under California Vehicle Code section 11713.1(e), when car dealers publish advertisements for cars and trucks, and those ads include asking prices, then the dealers are prohibited from selling the advertised vehicles for more than their advertised prices, unless the ads specifically list expiration dates that have passed. Further, Section 260.04(b) of the regulations promulgated by California's Department of Motor Vehicles further mandates that advertised vehicles "must be sold at or below the advertised price irrespective of whether or not the advertised price has been communicated to the purchaser."
