We purchased a brand new Subaru Outback on Tuesday July 9. It has been a very long time since we have bought a new car. But we soon learned Subaru actually has a full time employee whos job is to teach new Subaru owners how to use thier new car! I could not have been more relieved to hear this. We were contacted by Donna McDonald the following Monday. She had just started her new job with Exeter Subaru that day and here she was contacting us to schedule a one on one appointment for her to start teaching how to maneuver all the new features. We meet with her that Friday and she spent time showing us how to set up the safetly features we wanted. She also ansewered any questions we had, we actually started there. This service that Subaru offers is a life saver for anyone buying a brand new car. Donna McDonald helps you to understand the eletronics and removes the stress of seeing all those apps on your new dashboard! Did I love my new Outback, yes, but after meeting with Donna we really love our new car even more and are no longer intimidated by it. We are now enjoying all it has to offer. The meeting with Donna isn't a one and done thing. You have the ablilty to call, email or text her with any questions that come up after you meet with her. And trust me, there are many other questions that have come up. She may not be available at the exact moment you contact her but she will always get back to you. Thank you Donna for helping us to really enjoy our brand new Subaru Outback. I would also like to add, Subaru is the only car I drive. I will never own any other brand of vehicle. Why would we, they have always been great vehicles for us and we never get stuck in the snow. Now with the Subaru In-Person Love Encore service with Donna McDonald it just makes my love for Subarus that much stronger. Thank you again Donna for your very thorough training session! More

I was really disappointed with my experience trying to purchase a car with Ann in Exeter. I brought someone with me that has more experience buying cars and she was snapped at anytime she tried to ask a q purchase a car with Ann in Exeter. When we were asking her to check with her manager on some pricing, we were asked if we had any other questions because she doesn’t like going back and forth to his office. When she gave me the final amount they were willing to negotiate, I asked to step outside to discuss it. When I came back in I said I’d like to take the night to think about it because it was a little more than I was looking to spend. Also something that shouldn’t be an unreasonable request when spending over $15,000. She then proceeded to be very cold and treated me as if I wasted her time. I tried asking for her to look into another number and we were told she would have looked into it before, but no longer would. I told her it didn’t seem like she really wanted to help me. She responded that she was trying to educate me, but did not want my friend to be involved. I told her while I understood she was trying to educate me, my friend was simply trying to help me and that it was inappropriate for her to be getting so upset that we had questions. If I’m making a 5 figure purchase I expect for my questions to be answered and to be treated with kindness and repspect. This was an incredibly disappointing experience. I ended up going to Ira Subaru in Manchester and worked with Shawn. The experience was night and day. It might have been a further drive, but it was worth the trip. I pick up my new car this weekend. More

The buying process was easy, Mitch sold me the car and DJ worked on any extras I asked for. Financing was a pain, Could not take no for an answer, and had to be very persistent. My trade-in had a lowball offer that I was able to at least double, but could not match the trade-in value I had from a different dealership down the road (Seacoast Volkswagen). The biggest issue I had was after the buying process. The vehicle I bought had hail damage, and the dealership promised to address the hail for buying the car, It was even written into the contract. When picking the car up from the dealership shop, I noticed the hail damages were still there and some "repaired" locations were almost worse. I talked to DJ and he said they repaired about 90% of the damages (I disagreed) and that they did all they could. Anything extra would come out of my pocket because as far as he was concerned, they completed business with me and satisfied my contract. Since I am not a dent expert, I contacted a Dent professional in the area. After evaluating and quoting the dents, they said all dents are repairable and agreed that some locations were left worse than before (dents were reversed and rippled). Exeter Subaru only cares about car sales and not the customer... Once the car is sold, DJ wants nothing to do with your inconveniences, even if it's written into a contract. More
