They will lie to you, and they will sell you a less than safe vehicle for 'blue book value" . If you call with any issues they will play hot potato with the phone between all the "managers" so they dont have to actually do anything to help you. DO NOT TRUST THEM!! More
DO NOT buy from here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone that works here is terrible! Bad customer service. Won't lower prices even thou here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone that works here is terrible! Bad customer service. Won't lower prices even though they sell xxxxed up cars with issues. I ended up buying a car from them... which I extremely regret. The passenger side mirror was broken (and they wouldn’t lower the price). Also, the tire-pressure sensor was broken- the car keeps alerting me that the tire pressure is low... but the tire pressure is fine. The shady people of Equity Auto told me that “all these problems would be covered by the Nissan warranty and I can take my car to any Nissan dealership and they would fix it for free”. But when I called Nissan, they said that none of this is covered and that Equity Auto should have serviced the car and fixed those problems before they sold it to me! THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS! DO NOT TRUST THEM! They also lied on ALL the paperwork I had to sign about how many miles the car actually had (it actually had 1,000 more miles than were documenting). When purchasing the car, the one thing that I requested is that they fill up the car (I JUST PURCHASED!) with a full tank of gas. They said, "we don't do that here." I hate everyone that works here. They ignore your phone calls. They just want to rip you off and make a quick deal. AND THEY ARE NOT FRIENDLY OR NICE AT ALL! Now I have a car that I am making super high payments on... that is not even in good condition. DO NOT buy from here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
Why do I rate this dealer at the bottom of the list? Because: they lied to me abouut the condition of the car (a PT Cruiser) though they had a mechanic at the dealership. It required an added $2500 worth of work when I got home to be roadworthy; the dealer Mr. Delamora, never sent me the title, registration, and plate, though he promised me it would come in about 2 weeks. After the required waiting period of 6 weeks, I filed a dealer complaint with the enforcement division of the AZ MVD. A police detective went to the dealer. There had been many similar complaints, he told me. He found out that the dealer had sold me a car with a lien on it, absolutely illegal, and gave him a $500 ticket. Then another ticket for fraud, also $500. And they are taking Delamora to court in addition, for possibly another $3000 in fines, or even closing down his dealership. All of which could have been avoided by simply paying off the lien with the cash I gave him for the car, and sending me the documentation. After 3 months nothing, so I wrote a certified letter to their bondholder putting them on notice of a lawsuit. Meanwhile the police detective told Delamora that if he got my documantation and plate to me, it might go easier on him in court. Finally, after more than 3 months, my docs and plate came, and the taxes were paid. He probably saw my California driver's license and figured he could cheat me without blowback. Wrong. I was a fool not to go more deeply into it before I bought the lemon of a car, but Delamora was double the fool to think I would not react. DO NOT USE EQUITY AUTO CENTER. More

They just want to finance for the extra money. First told us that our credit union wont wait 2 weeks for the title they have to order from Oklahoma. Then told us that they dont take our credit unions checks. xxx?? You dont accept peoples money??? Just the most baffling thing ever. This credit union is from one of the top insurance agencies and bank in the country. this isnt Joe Bobs Credit Union. Just lame. More
Worked with Raffael, who was rather friendly, but ended up being dishonest with us. We found the car we wanted on the internet - this is important because if you don't quote them the internet price they w up being dishonest with us. We found the car we wanted on the internet - this is important because if you don't quote them the internet price they will try to sell you the car for more money - every car is priced at the dealership for about $8000 more than what they advertise them for on the internet. We bought one of their used rental cars. I feel fine with the car we bought, and the price, becuase I DID MY HOMEWORK. Take someone with you who knows cars, knows how to spot leaks, etc. and make sure you check what Blue Book is and know what other dealerships are selling comps for. While we were there the expereience was rather average for a car dealer, not bad but not good either. We traded in a 2004 Nissan Xterra and he would only give me $1500 under trade-in Blue Book value because he said they would only sell it at an auction becuase of its mileage and that they would get less at auction. Well, it turns out that not even a week later they have that Nissan listed on their website for sale at the dealership. First, let me tell you to not buy that Nissan. Second, let me tell you not to take their word at face value, as I did. Third, I now realize I should have gone to CarMax and gotten a quote for what they will buy the car for. If you have a trade in I would suggest you do that and not take a penny under what CarMax is offering. Go sell it to them if you have to. Bottom line: they have some good used cars at good prices, but be very careful with your trade in becuase they will try to screw you on it. More
Read the Cars.com reviews for this dealer and this sales person. Everything you read elsewhere is posted by the dealership guys. Experience with them is miserable even if first visit seems ok. They do not k person. Everything you read elsewhere is posted by the dealership guys. Experience with them is miserable even if first visit seems ok. They do not know anything about the cars they sell. Once you leave and get home you will find the most unexpected defects and they have no idea whatsoever. I have spent thousands of dollars extra to fix their ignorance. Can't even turn a tire pressure light off! Go to a name dealership, they will honor their word. These guys? Garbage! Spent $28,000 on two cars, thought I had a great deal. Guess what? I have spent another $4,000 in repairs within two months from buying! Replaced (among others): gas tank, breaks, tires, entry keys (!!), wires to plugs, OIL (!!!). What's worse, I replaced the registration, since their dates would not match the original ones! Can you believe that? No? Then go buy from them and don't say you were not warned! More
Okto start with the staff is pretty darn friendly, but one could say that about a python before it its a mouse. I brought a Pt Cruiser from them and my wife and had some credit issues, so we felt this was one could say that about a python before it its a mouse. I brought a Pt Cruiser from them and my wife and had some credit issues, so we felt this was our best chance to get a car. We got it home and much like other people here the car started making this loud clunking sound. Turned out I needed new control arms. No prob they fixed it for 100 bucks sent me on my way. Shortly after we needed to move out of sate, long story short we get up here and find out they had put the control arms wrong and left all the xxxx bolts loose, plus the car is held together by the hopes and reams of small children, faulty oil gaskets, air hose just ttied off wit h duck tape not attached to anything. So many issues its hard to list them all. But ok non of them were that bad to fix and did most of it myself(the beuty of you tube) but then comes the fun part. Now I know it is my job as a consumer to research what I buy, I am writng this for anyone who thinks this company is all sunshine and lollypops, theycar they sold my is worth about a third of what they sold it to me for. Yup I brought a car for 9000 that is really worth 3000 bucks.. Awsome. The staff is great..but there are the biggest group of scammers in the phoenix area, so dont trust them double check the work they do and the work they claim to do and most off make sure the car is close to what the say it is worth before you take the keys. 9000 dollar 2003 pt cruiser with 160000 miles..xxxx i was stupid. Once I had settled on what used car to buy, I made the trip to Equity Auto since they had the best prices in the whole Phoenix area. The experience was great. He was a pleasure to work with and the whole experience was actually enjoyable. I was in and out without any high pressured sales tactics and their business philosophy and model is excellent and fair. Simple competitive pricing, no extra gimmicks and a relaxed sales experience. They were all very easy to work with. I have already recommended them to others and would not hesitate to buy from them again. More
