In 2020 I went to Empire Subaru to buy a pre owned, “certified “ Subaru Forrester. I sat with the sales men and was strongly encouraged to go the “Certified” pre owned as it would come with a 7 year, 1 “certified “ Subaru Forrester. I sat with the sales men and was strongly encouraged to go the “Certified” pre owned as it would come with a 7 year, 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and paid extra for the electrical system of the vehicle. So by buying “Certified” it guaranteed me a warranty as good as buying new. This is what was verbally promised to me as I signed the 15 to 20 papers handed to me along with a handshake. I have owned the vehicle for 4 years. I bought the vehicle two weeks before the pandemic hit so it didn’t move for almost 2 years and as of right now has a little over 50,000 miles and 3 years left on my warranty…..or so I thought. I began having front end issues and called my dealer ship to bring it in and was informed that my warranty was up in 12/23, That the warranty that I paid for Started clicking not when I bought the car, but when the original owner bought it dating back to 2016 (my vehicle is a 2017) Please make sure you read the fine print, before signing anything no matter how overwhelmed or rushed you may feel. While what they did, by bald face lying to me with a handshake, they covered themselves legally in very small print in the paperwork. They were morally wrong and basically sold the original warranty twice and tricked me into adding electrical. Buyer beware, legally right does not add up to having integrity in business. I spoke to them and asked them to do the right thing and act on the good faith that handshake was suppose to represent, they choose to hide in the small print. Read everything. It cost me out of pocket close to 879.00 to have my car repaired and no rental to get to work costing me a days pay. A Rental was in my warranty. Just Beware and be aware More
I bought my Subaru about a year ago from Empire Subaru in Huntington. I had a great experience. I got a free oil change and that was a good experience too so I took it there for my next oil change. The servi Huntington. I had a great experience. I got a free oil change and that was a good experience too so I took it there for my next oil change. The service rep mumbled did I want the car checked out and I thought he said it was $88 so I said yes. Imagine my surprise when he told me my bill was $985. I was so upset but I paid it. I have thought about it since. It should not cost $985 for an oil change and a car check. Firestone checks your car for free. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. I will never go there again. I am very disappointed. More

I had an uncontrollable shimmy in my Outback. I took it to Empire Subaru. Within an hour I had a diagnosis with an estimate to fix the car. It was done a few hours later. It’s back to driving like new. I have found that this car needs to have original Subaru parts. The aftermarket parts just don’t cut it. More
