I've been a Ford truck man my whole live but, after going to Rodman Ford that changed. They got me in there with an 0% financing over 60 months offer advertised on TV but, when I got there this offer changed to Rodman Ford that changed. They got me in there with an 0% financing over 60 months offer advertised on TV but, when I got there this offer changed (several times) depending on who I dealt with. Weary of "slick salesmen" I went to Elmwood. Kyle, was super friendly and narrowed down the trucks based on what I was looking for, before even walking in the door. Rich Miranda listened to me, didn't rush me, and worked with Vinnie to get my monthly payments down to where I could afford them. They gave me a fair trade in value for my Ford truck, offered a few other incentives with the financing, worked with my insurance company and registered the new vehicle for me. You don't buy a new truck often but when you do, I'd recommend going somewhere that focuses on the customer and that's what Elmwood Dodge does. I love driving my 2012 Dodge Ram double cap pickup, I get compliments on this truck every day! More
I am 19 years old and was in search for a 2011 Jeep Wrangler 2-door. I live in Rhode Island and while shopping I went to every dealer ship local to me, and I was not taken serious because of my age. I Wrangler 2-door. I live in Rhode Island and while shopping I went to every dealer ship local to me, and I was not taken serious because of my age. I wanted to trade in a 2003 jeep liberty renegade and I was low balled terribly on my trade in price, and I stressed to the salesmen at many dealerships that I had my trade and over 10,000 dollars in cash I wanted to put down on my purchase of a new jeep. I went to Somerset Jeep in Massechuetts, and I was treated awful. They offered me a very low trade in value and when I told them the trade value needed to go up because they were way below Kelly blue book value the salesmen responded "KElly blue book does not buy your jeep, take it or leave it) Furious, I walked out and stopped at Elmwood dodge and jeep in East Providence RI. I told them what I wanted and what I had. Not once did I ever feel the pressure of buying a car. They treated me beyond great, which resulted in my parents recommended a friend there to purchase a van, and my parents purchasing a 2012 jeep grand Cherokee about 3 weeks later. My Jeep wrangler was leaking water and on the first attempt the water leak was fixed! My family and I are more than pleased with the sales and service of this dealership. I will always go back. More
I initially contaced Elmwood through the internet, and had a couple of helpful emails from James and Kyle. I then visited and was introduced to Richard Miranda. I was treated with courtesy and the negot had a couple of helpful emails from James and Kyle. I then visited and was introduced to Richard Miranda. I was treated with courtesy and the negotiations to lease my Jeep Wrangler were "pressure-less". Both Richard and Dennis were very pleasant, and a trade in price and sales price were quickly reached, and the bottom line was fair. Vinny had the financing arranged in a few minutes. The Jeep I wanted had to be picked up some distance away, but I was driving it the next day! This was a very good sales experience, the best I've experienced. I recommend Elmwood to anyone who wants a friendly hassle free experience, and a fair price. More
I have bought cars from numerous dealers throughout the years and was taken for a ride by many (Pride for one). Elmwood Dodge is top notch. Richard was a real sweetheart and others we dealt with. BUYERS BEWARE, BUYERS BEWARE! I purchased a 2008 Dodge BUYERS BEWARE, BUYERS BEWARE! I purchased a 2008 Dodge Caravan from Elmwood Dodge in November of 2010. I have had a list of problems with this veh BUYERS BEWARE, BUYERS BEWARE! I purchased a 2008 Dodge Caravan from Elmwood Dodge in November of 2010. I have had a list of problems with this vehicle since day one. First I had a fuzzy radio/screen which was replaced free of charge-as was agreed upon when signing papers. I asked for the vehicle to be cleaned before it was delivered (which didn’t seem like too much to ask) and they delivered the vehicle filthy-- with remnants of the previous owners beneath the seats: games, toys, and French fries-disgusting. Upon signing the papers they offered me “free” oil changes for a year, which I ended up having to pay for 10x over in vehicle service over the past year. Their “free” oil change is their bait to reel people in. After owning the car for a couple of months, the van began sounding like an airplane taking off— there was an issue with the both HUBS and the dealership gave me a quote of $455 to fix it-but-by the grace of GOD, I was sent a letter from Chrysler corp. saying due to the number of complaints, they extended the warranty to cover this issue, the loud noise went away but then the check engine light kept coming on. I brought it in and then they told me that they needed to replace the EGR valve and gasket, which cost me ($271) and the leaking windshield remained a problem. I also told them that it was clear that the electrical issues stemmed from the leak in the windshield, that’s when Jay let me know that the window was replaced before they sold it to me so they would fix it. After leaving it there for the day, they decided that they wanted to re-nig on the agreement to fix it. I ended up having to come out of pocket and fix it at another service shop. The next issue was after I brought it in for an oil change again-my van started smoking profusely. I brought it back in and they told me that the coolant hose had a leak. Which ended up costing me another $185! After having the hose fixed, it was running very roughly, within a few days’ time, the transmission went! This has been the WORST car buying experience I’ve ever had. This company doesn’t stand behind their product and they provide horrible customer service. They are extremely shady and unprofessional! I would not buy from them again! More
Elmwood Dodge is a participant in USAA's buying service which I was using for my new vehicle purchase. The price was largely established by the buying service, but it was Elmwood's responsiveness that got which I was using for my new vehicle purchase. The price was largely established by the buying service, but it was Elmwood's responsiveness that got me in the door. What got me to go sign with Elmwood was the friendliness of the people and their promise to pass along to me any other incentives that came along between the ordering and delivery of my vehicle. They were true to their word; I picked up an additional $1,000 incentive while the vehicle was being built. More
Sent and email to James - and super responsive - once in I dealt with Noel Tavarez - both were great. Everyone in the showroom was super nice and Vinny the finance guy was awesome too. Was probably the ea I dealt with Noel Tavarez - both were great. Everyone in the showroom was super nice and Vinny the finance guy was awesome too. Was probably the easiest buying experience ever. Hard to believe I know. But so far am very happy and have been servicing my previous vehicle there for quite some time and would definitely recommend them for both sales and service. More
I had a great sales experience with Elmwood. I dealt with James (internet manager) initially to get some info. I inquired about the vehicle essentially right after it came in on trade so he had trouble getti James (internet manager) initially to get some info. I inquired about the vehicle essentially right after it came in on trade so he had trouble getting pictures to me but I went in to check it out anyways. While there, I dealt with Victor in sales and he was helpful, easy going, and didn't put an ouce of pressure on me. Negotiations took little time and again there wasn't any pressure or the whole "well, let me take this to my manager" routine you typically endure about 15 times when buying a car. I told them what I wanted to finance, they came back with a counter-offer, and we settled in the middle at something very reasonable. Vinny in the finance office was also great and secured me a fantastic rate for my loan. All in all it was a excellent experience and I recommend the dealership to prospective buyers. Since I just picked up the vehicle last night, I'll update this if/when I need to bring it back during the warranty or for service. So far, though, great job! More
Before I even stepped foot into Elmwood, I communicated via emails with the Internet Sales Manager. He went above and beyond to get me out of the current vehicle I was in, without me even coming into the d via emails with the Internet Sales Manager. He went above and beyond to get me out of the current vehicle I was in, without me even coming into the dealership. I was a little skeptical at first, but James reassured me that he had everything under control and he was a man of his word. On a seperate occassion, I had to bring my car in to get serviced and the staff was friendly. The waiting room was clean and kid-friendly since I have a toddler with me at the time. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. More
I feel betrayed by this dealer. I bought an Acura MDX from this dealer and he sold the car with a 30 day warranty. The warranty never mentions that the car has to be fixed at the dealer. I took the car t from this dealer and he sold the car with a 30 day warranty. The warranty never mentions that the car has to be fixed at the dealer. I took the car to an Acura dealer because my trunk would not open and he fixed it and also told me that the transmission fluid in the rear differential for the 4 wheel drive was wrong or curropted. The wipers (front and back) on the car were after market as well. Overall I had to pay $400 to get the car fixed within 8 days of my purchase. Needless to say that the dodge dealer refused to pay for the fixes. I would strongly recommend not buying a car from this dealer, but if you do end up buying a used car, get it independently inspected before buying and confirm the warranty explicitly with the salesperson and the manager. After you buy the car, the people suddenly turn hostile and are extremely rude. If you are considering a car that you see online, I would strongly recommend finding it some place else, rather than buy at this dealer. I feel robbed after dealing with these people. More
