Blake Ballas handled our immediate need for a coolant leak which affected the temperature of the car and potential overheating. As this is our daughter’s vehicle and we live over 725 miles away, Blake ar leak which affected the temperature of the car and potential overheating. As this is our daughter’s vehicle and we live over 725 miles away, Blake arranged for us to drop her car off overnight. Even though the Service Department was extremely busy, Blake said that they would get to the repairs in 1-2 days. Much to our surprise and relief, Blake got our car in for the service and had the repairs performed along with some other items that were addressed such as a transmission flush and coolant flush. We could not be happier that Blake’s quick action possibly saved our daughter from getting broken down and having more serious issues with her car! Thanks so much Blake and the Elkins service team! I own two Chevrolet vehicles which Elkins Chevrolet services for me. One is a 2015 Equinox in excellent mechanical condition. When my significant other was driving home from work in a horrible rains services for me. One is a 2015 Equinox in excellent mechanical condition. When my significant other was driving home from work in a horrible rainstorm on Thursday, July 1, 2021, the windshield wipers stopped working, completely without warning. She was able to return home when the rain stopped and it was safe to drive. When the Service Department opened on Friday, I called and spoke with Blake Ballas, the Service Manager. Although we had no appointment and the holiday was imminent, Blake was extremely understanding and kind enough to squeeze us in without an appintment because a family member was having difficulty in a nursing facility and the Equinox was absolutely needed. We droveover to Elkins and Connor Tindall took our vehicle in. Because of its age, the regular vehicle warranty was over. We expected a bill commensurate with the wiper system service complexity and the parts costs. However, Connor called me when the failure diagnosis was completed, and told me to my great surprise that the failure to my system was being specially covered by Chevrolet at no cost to me whatsoever. I had no idea about this special coverage - and would have been prepared to pay a significant bill had Connor not researched the issue and discovered the Chevrolet coverage in this case. That's what an honest, reliable dealer is - and I commend Josh Elkins, Blake Ballas and Connor Tyndall for their assistance. The wiper system was completely repaired and is working as it should once again. We were treated in an exemplary manner, start to finish, and I've taken the time to write this since such a review is completely deserved. Thanks, Elkins Chevrolet! More
My air conditioner quit working on June 29th and I am traveling to Northern NJ on July 3rd for a wedding, I called Elkins Chevrolet on June 30th and explained my situation to Josh Elkins. He explained that his service schedule was full but if I wished to take my vehicle in on July 1st he would try to work it into his schedule. I agreed and arrived at his service department at 7:45am. I am pleased to report that my AC system was repaired and I was able to leave Elkins Chevrolet in a cooled down vehicle by 1:30pm. Thanks you Josh for coming to my rescue. My wife and I have bought two vehicles from Elkins. A 2017 Silverado LTZ of the showroom floor and a “certified pre owned” 2016 Traverse LT. I have taken both in for service multiple times. The Silvera 2017 Silverado LTZ of the showroom floor and a “certified pre owned” 2016 Traverse LT. I have taken both in for service multiple times. The Silverado has never been an issue. The Traverse on the other hand is a different story. We had brake issues (vibration when stopping) due to warped rotors within 15,000 miles of the purchase. It was stated in the paperwork when we bought the vehicle that the brakes were serviced. They shouldn’t have needed replacing at that mileage but, they did, so we replaced them and didn’t complain. Then the Transmission started to act up( slipped between 1-2shift). Took it in, got told a few different things before it was fixed. Covered under warranty but, took two weeks after the date we were told it would be ready. Still didn’t complain and pushed on because I know how it goes sometimes. Then the check engine light started to come on and the vehicle would stumble and the stabilitrack warning would show on the dash. Took it in again. Was told it was ONE of the O2 sensors. Paid for it to be changed. Had the Traverse back a week. Did it again. Took it in. Told it was the other O2 sensor. Paid to have it done again because apparently you don’t check both sensors when that fault code is shown. Then the AC goes out in the vehicle. Take it in again. Told it was the lower AC hose and it would be a little over 1,000 dollars to fix it, still kept it cool said sure go for it and fix it because summer is here and it’s gonna be hot. Fixed it right up, until three dang weeks later and the A/C goes out again. Guess what??? It’s the other hoses that apparently weren’t checked the first time. So now, I’m done not saying anything, all of these issues happened when I was out of the country and my wife had to take the vehicle in. Every. Single. Time. She had to take it back multiple times for the same “fixed” problem. Took time off work, took time off of her own time to do so. Now here we are again being told it will be 2,600 dollars to fix the A/C that was just fixed 3 weeks ago. We have put almost 4 grand into a barely 5 year old vehicle in 3 weeks. Elkins needs to make this right because this is a poor showing from an otherwise great dealership. At this point I would not recommend the service department to anyone. But a vehicle here all day everyday but, take it somewhere else for service if you don’t feel like having the same thing worked on several times and being told “we didn’t notice it the first time” every time you bring it back. At this current time I am out of state and once again my wife is having the same old issues. My name is Harry Dunmire and I will not be getting any of my vehicles serviced at Elkins ever again. More

Purchased a 2018 Chevy Traverse from this dealership. Our personal mechanic found the struts were loose and felt they should still be covered. Contacted the dealer and explained the situation. They had us make an appointment, drive an hour out of out way only to be told the struts aren't covered. They could have done that on the phone, they never had to examine our truck to make this determination. Our warranty was up at 36000 we have a little over 50000. Too bad companies don't back thier products anymore This dealership does not care about their customers!!! Wasted our time. During a pandemic they should not have people come to their dealership unless absolutely necessary. They did find an open recall in the truck. We were not notified of the recall. We could have has that work done closer to home so we could have dropped off our truck at a local dealer. More

The work was not only done in a timely manner but I felt very comfortable leaving my car in their hands to do the work! Upon pick-up this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had done an exterior wash of the vehicle which was truly icing on the cake! I would not use this dealership again for service. It took 6 days to fix a minor problem and then was returned with the same problems that I started with.
