Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate all input. After speaking with Dave and learning a little about your unique situation, I’m having trouble understanding your concerns and negative review. I want to make it clear that Direct Car Buying and Easterns Automotive Group do not purposely hide or not disclose any information from our customers to try to push a deal through. These actions are immoral and sometime illegal. We completely understand your frustration and we feel the same. Unfortunately we use the same tools as our customers, with reference to carfax reports. That being said many used cars will incur some forms of damage in their lifetime that is not reported. We do our best to be up to date on our cars histories and disclose this information so situations like this do not happen, because no one benefits from anything like this. All that said I just want to make sure you know that Direct Car Buying and our sales people did not know anything you did not. Thank you for considering Direct Car Buying, and I hope there is something we can do to earn your business in the future.

Thank you for your response. Once I realized that you were selling older cars of same model, less equipped with more mileage for more money, my suspicions arose as to DCB's knowledge of the damage. Also, the vehicle was purchased from one of the large rental car companies. The damage was extensive enough that it would appear unlikely that a renter could have fixed this without revealing it to that company. And if that company sold a car to you w/o revealing known damage, I believe that may be fraudulent. After all the trouble we went to, we suggested a resolution that DCB find a similar vehicle and sell it to us for at or below acquisition cost. So DCB doesn't lose much or anything and we get some reimbursement for our time, trouble and the risk that was shifted to us to find damage that DCB should have discovered. No response from Dave. Did you report the damage to CarFax? Did you adjust the title?. Did you retail or wholesale the vehicle afterward? At what price? You will note that to be fair, I noted that DCB honored its return policy without protest. I also rated the service as very friendly. I am trying to be balanced, but I believe DCB knew or should have known about the damage. Your response to my questions above will shed a bit more light. Thank you,
