I purchased a 2009 Chrysler 300 Touring from the used car department on January 20, 2014. Upon returning to the dealership after the test drive, my husband expressed concern to our salesman, Mike Johnson, ab department on January 20, 2014. Upon returning to the dealership after the test drive, my husband expressed concern to our salesman, Mike Johnson, about the fact that the windows were fogged up, despite having the heat on. Mike's response was not to worry, the fogging was caused from the carpets having been shampooed. My husband felt the carpets, and they were indeed damp, so my husband accepted this explanation. We went ahead with the purchase, and included the two year warranty with the vehicle for peace of mind. Three weeks later, the windows of my car were still fogging to the point it was difficult to drive on the road, visibility was often limited to the point of being hazardous. Cracking the windows didn't help, nothing made a difference. We called Mike on February 13 and he told us to take the car to a Chrysler dealership and have them examine it and contact the warranty company for authorization. The Chrysler dealership determined that the recirculating door was broken. This meant that the air in the car was constantly recirculating the internal air and not bringing in fresh air to help reduce the moisture. They then contacted the warranty company and was told that this repair was not covered under the warranty. This was extremely upsetting, as they told us that the repair would require them to remove the dashboard, and this would put the cost in excess of $1400. My husband then called Mike at Dorian again to say that we had a problem. He told Mike that we had inquired about this being a problem and that he had promised that it was just the carpets. Mike's immediate response was to say that they are very careful not to promise anything. I will admit that I never heard Mike say the word "promise", but he was very adamant that this would not be a problem once the carpet dried. Mike then had my husband speak to the sales manager, Tony Mckeehn. This is where our experience went from bad to worse. When my husband explained the problem to Tony, his response to my husband was essentially, "You purchased a used vehicle, what do you expect?" He then criticized my husband for only going to the dealership and not taking it somewhere else for an inspection, despite the fact we had taken it to the dealership with the expectation that IF there was an issue, the warranty would cover it. My husband then asked if Tony was saying that he wouldn't do anything to help, and Tony said yes. Tony was rude and unresponsive until my husband said that if he was unwilling to help we would have to contact our attorney to see what they next step would be. Tony immediately said he would speak to his head mechanic and get back with us. The following day, Tony called and said that we could bring the car back and his mechanic would inspect the vehicle and see what he could determine. My husband told him that he would speak with me about it, and that we would call back on Monday. We talked about it, and pretty much decided that we did not want to spend money at Dorian getting the car repaired, that they would probably opt for a patch fix. This situation has left a bad taste in our mouth for Dorian Ford. Even if I allow that Dorian may truly have thought the fogging was caused by the carpets, their immediate response of denial and "not our problem" mentality is not the type of service that we look for in a dealership. I emailed Carolyn Dorian on 2/24/2014 and have not received a response as of today. More

Traded in a 2011 F150 Lariat Ecoboost at the end of November 2013 for a used 2008 Explorer cause I wanted to cut my payments in half. Sold me a warranty for $2000 and acted like it covered everything i November 2013 for a used 2008 Explorer cause I wanted to cut my payments in half. Sold me a warranty for $2000 and acted like it covered everything in drivetrain when purchased. Took it for a test drive and felt like something was wrong in trans and it was misfiring around 50 mph. Told the salesman when I came back. He said he couldn t get it to do it..of course lol. Anyway he said if I had problems bring it back. So the day I drove it home..I live an hour away....it was misfiring like crazy. Took it back the next day and he took the car while I went back to work. Of course they couldn t get it to do it again. I have plenty of experience working on cars so I knew it was a plug or coil pack. Anyhow, they told me to bring it back if it did it again. So now 2 months later and only two payments made it s driving HORRIBLE, misfiring like crazy and shifting like #$%$! I bring it in and they say they ll look at it. Come to find out that $2000 warranty they sold me COVERS NOTHING! So they put me in a rental for almost a week and tell me what I have been saying since I first test drove it.....the plugs need to be changed and the coils.....$950 plus they inform me the plugs will break off in the block for this motor and could be another $80 a cylinder!?!?!?!?! WHAT???? Of course the warranty doesn t cover it and the used car manager says I ve had it for too long and will not cover it!!!!!! So they say the ball joints were bad and charge me almost $400 to change them and for diagnostics to do nothing lol. Then the trans issue, a computer update, can t be done until the misfires are fixed and will be another $100 deductible cause the warranty deductible only covers one visit..lol..go figure. Anyhow long story short, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING FROM DORIAN, EVEN PARTS!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!!!! Did all the work myself for $250 over the weekend and took 2 hours. Looks like I ll be buying my new Mustang from Imlay City Ford! More
Attempted to purchase a used Ford Flex. During the process, another dealer we had been working with previously offered us a much better deal ($1,000 less for the nearly identical vehicle). Since we wa process, another dealer we had been working with previously offered us a much better deal ($1,000 less for the nearly identical vehicle). Since we wanted to keep our money in Michigan, we asked for some concession on Dorian's behalf in order to be more competitive. We were told the price was not negotiable. The fast talking, stereotypical salesmen in question, Mike McDonnell, told us "we've already paid your sales tax" and "your deposit is non-refundable". Both statements were outright lies. His attitude was take it or leave it ("It's no big deal to me, I sell 30 cars a month") and quite condescending as well. We asked to speak to the sales manager and/or general manager, but they didn't call. I also attempted to talk with Carolyn Dorian, V.P. of the dealership by email, but received no response. Do yourself a favor and Google the reviews/ratings for this dealership and read them thoroughly prior to getting involved with them. I'd like to think our experience doesn't represent the dealership as a whole, but the negative reviews (even with Mr. McDonnell specifically) go back for quite some time. More
Purchased 2008 Mercury Mariner 7/9/12, drove 1 week, 532 miles. Transmission failed while driving. Arranged to get it to closest FORD dealer, who found the trans fluid level above high-mark (somebody adde miles. Transmission failed while driving. Arranged to get it to closest FORD dealer, who found the trans fluid level above high-mark (somebody added something to fluid / additive). they did a complete trans evaluation. Estimated $3000 to replace complete transmission (severe internal damage). I was told the fluid was also burned & smelled, and this obviously had been going on for much more than 500 miles. Wife took vehicle to Dorian FORD, and was informed by the manager this was a legal business transaction, and ethics didn’t matter. Manager told my wife I was ignorant not to know the 2008~2010 Escape’s & Mariners were notorious for this transmission problem at 79,000 miles, and how dumb I was to purchase one with 70K miles on the clock anyway. Then he made a joke about it being on the side-lot when I picked it up in case it broke down on the way out. She was told he has no problem sticking me with this and he will sleep fine knowing it was no longer his problem. He then offered us a 10% discount on the $3000 service. He also claimed the other FORD dealer who did the eval was incompetent & since they did the evaluation, it is now their problem, not his. THIS WAS 1 WEEK & ONE TANK OF GAS AFTER PURCHASE FOR $14000!!! We are checking with the previous owner (discovery) if it was disclosed to Dorian this vehicle had transmission issues. This will confirm they knowingly sold a vehicle in need of major repair. I believe it was well known by the treatment we received today. More

They had exactly what I was looking for and when it was time for me to make a decision I was not forced to do so. The prices were reasonable and Paul was very knowledgable about the product. Paul also ra time for me to make a decision I was not forced to do so. The prices were reasonable and Paul was very knowledgable about the product. Confirmed by phone that a vehicle I wished to purchase was still in stock and available. I asked them if they would hold it until I arrived as it was a 3 hour drive each way, that it would be a straight u was still in stock and available. I asked them if they would hold it until I arrived as it was a 3 hour drive each way, that it would be a straight up sale with no trades or financing. Salesman confirmed that it was available and would be held until I arrived. I drove straight to the dealership and even called from my cell on the way, leaving a voice mail with the salesman as to my ETA according to my Garmin. On arrival I was told "sorry" but the vehicle had sold to a customer that had looked at it the previous week but could not get financing. The salesman claimed that he tried to call me back but that my phone number was blocked, which is absolutely untrue! I lost a day of work and burned 3/4 tank of fuel. I did not expect this type of behavior by a dealership, at least not one with any integrity. More
