Some what shady service. I have been a customer of HVH since I bought a new crv in 2007. I have found their service to be slow-very slow. Two hours for an oil change. Can't I have been a customer of HVH since I bought a new crv in 2007. I have found their service to be slow-very slow. Two hours for an oil change. Can't return calls to service advisor because they are with another customer. Everything that is service is not recorded in the computer. I will drive this Honda as long as I can but no more Hondas for me until they get another dealer with a good service dept in town. More
Careful With Dealer Prices Posted Online This dealer posted one of the lowest prices on some internet sites. After we test drove the vehicle, we were shown accessories on the vehicles. At This dealer posted one of the lowest prices on some internet sites. After we test drove the vehicle, we were shown accessories on the vehicles. At the negotiation table, they will honor advertised internet prices for the car only , but will push for accessories already put on the car at astronomical prices. Bottom line: Hard to negotiate for barebone car without any accessories at the prices you first saw on the internet (the bait). More
Deception R' Us Diamond Valley Honda of Hemet, CA This is one dealership that I would steer far, far away from. Their business ethics and practices are what gives Diamond Valley Honda of Hemet, CA This is one dealership that I would steer far, far away from. Their business ethics and practices are what gives the auto dealership industry it’s bad name. On 20 April 2016 I sent a request for an out-the-door pricing quote for a 2016 Honda Civic LX, Tafeta white with an ivory interior and the Civic Protection package (wheel locks, splash guards and trunk protector) on “Car Gurus” to dealers in the SOCAL area. Veronica Gomez of Diamond Valley Honda responded with a quote of $16,588.28 which I assumed was an unloaded quote (no tax, title, doc fee, etc) but still attractive. She called shortly thereafter and said it was against company policy to send and out-the-door pricing quote, but that I could determine that amount by adding ~ 11% to the $16588 number to get an out-the-door estimate. She also pointed out that the actual percent would not quite be 11%, but that it would be close. Doing the math the max out-the-door price came to about $18,412 which was a good price. Note that so far she did not commit to an actual out-the-door price. After our phone conversation I sent her the following email: -----Original Message----- From: "Chuck Sent: 4/20/2016 12:42:00 PM To: "Veronica Gomez" Subject: Re:Your Request ? Thank you Veronica. The LX, VIN 2HGFC2F5XGH515188, which I believe had the ivory interior is my choice. Based on our conversation I believe the out-the-door price will be somewhat less than $18,400. I will be in touch with you on this within the next day or two, Best Regards, Chuck To which she responded;: ----- Original Message ----- From: Veronica To: Chuck Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2016 12:44 PM Subject: Re:Your Request Great! I look forward to hearing back from you. Note in her response she did not have the integrity to inform me that the actual out the door pricing did not include MANDATORY installed dealer options (more on this later) I contacted her the next day and scheduled an appointment to see the car on Thursday evening after work. I live in San Diego so the appointment was scheduled between 6 and 6:30 that evening. She called me on my cell at 5:51 PM to verify that I was going to be there and I estimated my arrival at 6:30 due to traffic. I arrived at 6:31 PM and asked for Veronica. Guess what. Veronica had “just left” and I would be speaking to another sales person. No problem, but kind of strange I thought since she had just asked mt to confirm my arrival time. The assigned sales rep was friendly, courteous and very personable. However, the car that was presented to me for the test drive was not quite what I had specified – no protection package, dark tinted glass, 77 and miles on the ODO – kind of high for a “new” car, I thought. We did the test drive and the car and sales person was fine. I decided to take the car and negotiate the lack of the Protection package. Now is when things got ugly. The sales manager, Danny Memz (?) informed me he would not negotiate on the protection package, and also could not sell me the car at the $18,412 price that Veronica had quoted to me. He insisted I had to buy an additional $1100 of dealer installed options. Having already done my due diligence on this, I knew the actual dealer value of the protection package was around $217 list and $179 street price. The alarm system they install is made by KARS and a similarly featured aftermarket system (which KARS is – it’s not a Honda product) is around $200 or less. He stated repeatedly that Veronica had not “quoted” the price I was given. I pointed out that she did , in fact, give me an out the door maximum price well below what he was not suggesting. He stood firm and since Veronica was conveniently absent, after failing to close the deal I walked out. So what this dealer does is very deftly work around the law by deception and murky business practices. After this debacle, I read all the available reviews on this dealer and it is apparent that Veronica and the Sales Manager work in concert to snare and milk customers using these deceptive business practices. In the myriad of reviews that I read ex post facto it is clear the highest ratings are written by customers that do not have clue how intensely this dealer is taking advantage of them. On the other hand, the folks that do their due diligence and think they are getting a fair deal and end up in the same situation I did and tell them to pack it. BTW, after several negotiations I ended up with a fair deal from Pacific Honda in San Diego. Once they give you an out-the-door quote, they honor the deal. More
False Advertising DO NOT BUY FROM DIAMOND VALLEY HONDA!! I just wanted to let everyone know not purchase a car from Diamond Valley Honda. Please avoid this dealership DO NOT BUY FROM DIAMOND VALLEY HONDA!! I just wanted to let everyone know not purchase a car from Diamond Valley Honda. Please avoid this dealership. My Mother-in-law a disabled retiree who needs a car that fits within her budget is looking for a car. I found her what I thought was a great deal on truecar.com. I found a 2014 Nissan Sentra advertised by Diamond Valley Honda on Truecar for $11,780.00, which was a great price that fell within her budget. I expressed an interest and emailed the dealership and I received via email from Diamond Valley Honda an email stating,”Your Price Protection Certificate” guaranteeing the price advertised on Truecar. I thought that was great. When there, everything seemed fine and I thought this would be an easy experience since we were using Truecar. After taking my Mother-in-laws information the sales representative came back and said that we would have to purchase an alarm that came with the car for an additional $1,000.00. I immediately told him we were not purchasing the alarm and that they could remove it or unplug it but we did not need it. The sales person than went to his manager and returned and said that he would remove it but would not be able to sell the car without an extended warranty and gap insurance, “He would not sell the car without it”. I confirmed this with the sales person and he stated the same again. I stood up and explained that this information should have been advertised on Truecar and this does not comply with our “Price Protection Certificate”. This is false advertising and in conflict with the price guaranteed by Diamond Valley Honda via Truecar. As I was driving away the sales manager called and I explained what had happened and he said that we would not need to purchase the warranty and gap insurance. He would take it off but now conflicted what the sales person said that he would not be able to sell the car without the alarm. When I arrived at home I looked the car up and the dealership now has the car advertised for $13,000.00. With the ad saying it was reduced to this price, again False Advertising. If you are resident of Hemet valley, Temecula and all surrounding areas please do not do business with this dealership. As you can see by what I have wrote, this really irritates me and I despise any type of business who would try to take advantage of anyone, especially seniors of which Hemet valley has no shortage. A valley filled with Retirees, Veterans of the Military and Veterans of the valley and any senior such as my Mother-in-law or any person trying to make it through these tough economic times. More

Horrible Experience Dealing with Liars I am making an account just so I can post how horrible of an experience I had at this dealership. They would not honor any incentives that they told m I am making an account just so I can post how horrible of an experience I had at this dealership. They would not honor any incentives that they told me I was qualified and approved for before I went in. DO NOT WASTE YOU'RE TIME GOING HERE. Here's my story: I found a 2015 Accord on Autotrader that led me to Diamond Valley Honda. I got in touch with Veronica from the internet department to go over all of the incentives and prices before making the trip to purchase. First we talked about trade-in incentives and she said that my car was qualified to receive a trade-in bonus of $1500 in addition to the blue book value. We then talked about financing and they ran my credit and told me a manager approved me for 1.9% interest rate. Lastly she also told me what documents I need to bring so I can qualify for the College Grad $500 discount offered through Honda when financing a car through them. After getting all of this information and making sure everything was approved, I drove 5 hours to the dealership to make the deal. When I arrived at Honda I was greeted by a salesman named Alex. Alex was great, he showed me all the features of the car, took me for a test drive and got all the paperwork started to make the deal. I showed Alex the Autotrader advertisement that Veronica told me to bring and he went to get the manager Paul to run my credit and run the numbers for the car. This is when things went downhill. Paul came back to me with the price sheet that honored the Autotrader price, but ADDED $1920(!!!) in options that COULD NOT BE REMOVED. It also did not include the $1500 trade in bonus that I was told my car qualified for, and did not show the interest rate. Because the monthly payment seemed much higher than what it should have been, I started asking questions about how the payment got to be so high. He said that my interest rate was a "standard interest rate" but would did not tell me the number, I had to ask again what the rate was before he told me it was 4.9%, and also there was a warranty added for $2450 that COULD NOT BE REMOVED. He also said that the Autotrader price included my college grad discount (This was a LIE). I told Paul about the 1.9% interest rate, the $500 college grad program and trade-in bonus and he asked to see the emails and show them to the manager. He came back saying that they WOULD NOT HONOR THE INCENTIVES THAT I WAS TOLD I WAS APPROVED AND QUALIFIED FOR BY A MANAGER. This made the car almost $5,000 (before taxes) more expensive than I was told, and my interest rate was 3% higher than I was told. After declining the deal, Paul came back to me with a new offer and that the general manager would give me $500 more for my trade-in. I asked to speak with the manager that he was going to with all of this information, he would not let me speak to him and said that I would be working with him. We went back and forth for awhile before we decided a deal was not going to happen and he went to get the keys to my car. He came back with my keys and two different options for a final offer, one that took out the warranty which he said could not be removed, and gave me a small bonus for my trade-in and gave me my college grad discount, but still included the 4.9% interest rate and additional price of the options, the other offer was at the lower 1.9% interest rate which he said I could not get earlier and that it was not through Honda (who else would it be through???). I ended up declining both those offers and went to my car to leave when the general manager (who I had asked to talk to earlier) came out to talk to me. He made one last offer but it still did not honor what Veronica told me I was approved and qualified for and still added options I could not remove so I finally left. In the end, I drove over 5 hours there, was at the dealership for over 3 hours and then drove over 5 hours back all for nothing because they would not honor what they told me over email. If they would have honored the trade-in bonus, interest rate, and college grad discount they told me I was qualified for I would have bought the car at the price listed no questions. It ended up costing me $100 in gas and over 13 hours for nothing. More

They never called back. I had to keep calling them. Finally they responded and said they could not find it. I asked them to give me another key fob and they again ignored my emails and calls. I had to go to another dealer and spend several hundred dollars for a new key and remote fob. Second, regarding the license plates...being new to California I was not familiar to the DMV system and I was told by Diamond Valley Honda that the plates would be mailed to me and it is OK to drive around with no plates as long as I had a temporary sticker on the window. After many months the plates never arrived so I assumed they were stolen from the mail. After filing a police report etc. I applied for new plates. When the new plates arrived weeks later I removed the Diamond Valley Paper advertisement plates to install the new plates, low and behold, the original plates were already on the car hidden by their advertisement plates. How idiotic was it for the dealer to cover up the plates and inform me that the plates would be sent via mail??? Needless to say, they do not have it together and I will never go back there again.
