I’m always apprehensive to bring my vehicles to Diamond Honda because of the issues I’ve experienced in the past. This time was no different. I was hesitant to bring my 2022 Passport in for an issue with t Honda because of the issues I’ve experienced in the past. This time was no different. I was hesitant to bring my 2022 Passport in for an issue with the transmission but because it is the closest dealership to me I didn’t want to take the chance of driving it too far. Unfortunately, I was a few minutes late to my appointment and had to wait longer than expected. But my advisor was friendly and quickly checked in my car and I was on my way. The communication I received about the status of my car was less than desirable as I had to reach out multiple times to find out when my car would be done. When I finally reached my advisor, I was estimated that I could pick it up in 4 days as they expected the part delivery to be delayed due to the holiday. This was no problem, however, the next day I received status updates via email letting me know my part was delivered and that I should reach out to schedule a pickup. I reached out to my advisor to verify what time my car would be done and was told they had not received the part for my car. After going back and forth with my advisor and the parts manager, getting different information from both, I told them I would come pick up my car and take it to another dealership to fix the issue. About 20 minutes after I ended the call with the parts manager, Oscar, the service manager called me to let me know that my car was done and ready to be picked up. He explained that there was a miscommunication between the departments and a lack of follow through by the parts manager who hadn’t bothered to check on the status of my car before giving me wrong information. He personally verified the status of my car with the service tech who performed the work and assured me that the issue was tested and resolved. I was able to pick up my car that day. I am thankful for Oscar for stepping in and rectifying the situation which is more than I have received in the past from Diamond Honda. I think in order to improve, communication needs to improve both internally and externally to customers. If I had not pushed and just accepted what I was told I would not have gotten my car back for 3 days. Which is not really an option for me. Especially since I was not provided a loaner vehicle though it was a manufacturer defect. More
