Purchased a new Civic back in May. It is the middle of July and I still do not have my license plates. Why? The dealership employees 'misplaced' my contract when delivering it to Honda USA, drew up the or July and I still do not have my license plates. Why? The dealership employees 'misplaced' my contract when delivering it to Honda USA, drew up the original with errors on dates, and then lost various components of the packaged contract. After 2000 miles, had a tire blow out. I am safe, but the tire (duh) and rim needed to be replaced. Good thing I purchased the $1500 bumper-to-bumper warranty. Apparently, rims are located outside of this coverage. Look, David McDavid of Frisco sold me the car and everything that goes into it. They sold me a tire that exploded under normal use. Warranty or not, that is not what tires are supposed to do. The service director could not speak to me without looking at the ground and including awkward drawn out pauses, attempting to 'put me down easy', insisting that I must have struck something to cause 'damage'. 'Damage' is synonymous with 'driver neglect', I learned. I had to go else where to repair the rim, obtain a new tire, and work on the fender and quarter panel damage that goes with having a tire shred. No front end damage, at all. I highly recommend the Civics, and I can only assume that other Honda vehicles are quality automobiles. The level of incompetence that I have experienced post-purchase leads me to warn others about doing business with David McDavid Honda of Frisco. If you are looking for pleasant conversation on topics ranging from the future of automobiles to Perestroika, free coffee and smiley glad-hands offering ill-advice, endless phone queues, an unprofessional staff that refers to you as 'dude', and a general uneasy feeling about the safety and soundness of your automotive investment, I highly recommend David McDavid Honda of Frisco. If not, go somewhere else. Anywhere else, even. More
Took my honda in for an estimate. They did not know that I already had 1 estimate and I knew what was wrong with the car.My 1st estimate was $517.00. This was to replace a slightly bent rod and a front end I already had 1 estimate and I knew what was wrong with the car.My 1st estimate was $517.00. This was to replace a slightly bent rod and a front end alignment. Pretty minor stuff. I had to wait for an hour & a half and then i received an estimate for $1295.00 for parts & another $999.00 in labor(10 hours of labor at $99.00 an hour). Basically they wanted $2295.00. I was stunned. I had to pay them a fee of $97.50 for the "evaluation". What a rip off. I then took my auto to Meineke and had the job done for $517.00.I will never buy an auto there nor will I ever service my car ther. What a huge ripoff. More
I’ve purchased two vehicles from Frisco Honda, one used about two years ago and one new last week. Everything about this dealership has been top notch including service. Their showroom is always neat and about two years ago and one new last week. Everything about this dealership has been top notch including service. Their showroom is always neat and clean, they have an area to keep my kids busy, which is a godsend both when I bring my cars in for service and during negotiations. I’ve had no surprises, although as expected there was some negotiation, which I expected. In the end, I felt I was taken care of and got a good deal. I’m a woman, have high expectations and tend to give salespeople a run for my money everywhere I shop. Even got to meet their GM, Mike, last time I was in there and found him very engaging. I have no problem at all recommending anyone I know to Frisco Honda. More
Ok...they DID do the right thing and reimbuse me. Smart move, as I have referred 2 people who bought cars. Good to see customer service still exists! I still would recommend you not leave anything in your move, as I have referred 2 people who bought cars. Good to see customer service still exists! I still would recommend you not leave anything in your car during service. Quick in and out there, which is nice! More
DO NOT leave anything in your car during service. The employees at this dealership are absolute thieves!! My iPod was stolen out of the car (along with my change, but who cares, right?) and the service m employees at this dealership are absolute thieves!! My iPod was stolen out of the car (along with my change, but who cares, right?) and the service manager just pointed to a sign that said the dealer wasn't responsible (not true, according to my attorney). I turned in my receipt per his request and have heard nothing so far. If they reimburse me, I'll change my rating, but for now...they suck! More
I came in to buy a specific car in a specific color that was high in demand. They bent over backwards in every way to get me the exact car i wanted! There was only one on texas and my guy drove out the ne was high in demand. They bent over backwards in every way to get me the exact car i wanted! There was only one on texas and my guy drove out the next day to get it for me. I got a fair price for my trade-in, and when i came in pre-approved for financing they matched my rate. They do try to overcharge for the dealer add-ons aka: turtle wax and scotch guard, but they did take those charges way down in the end. The financing guy didnt press the extended warrany too bad, and was quick and friendly. My experience was a very good one. More
Firstly the staff members where more interested in moving a unit off the lot than they were of my financial needs. I told these gentleman my monthly payment limit was 450 and i ended with a pmt of 597. I was a unit off the lot than they were of my financial needs. I told these gentleman my monthly payment limit was 450 and i ended with a pmt of 597. I was in the dealership for 4 hours and they finally 'projected' an approval, only to turnaround 2 days later and tell me i was not approved. This was all after letting me take the vehicle with me,putting a down payment and paying $300 for insurance. I think if they were not sure whether i was approved or not, they shudn't have made me pay insurance, take the car with me or spend half my day waiting for an approval at the dealership, when i could have been looking elsewhere. I don't have any other time to look for a car because i work 12 hrs a day, sometimes 6 days a week. This was my worst and longest car buying experience. the finance manager would not even want to listen to my side of the story when they i called him for the denial even though i gave these 4 hours of my time to approve a car loan. I think the the whole staff does not deserve to be handling such a good product and this is the type customer service that degrades big names like Honda. More
I felt valued as a customer from the minute I walked into the store, from the front desk to the salesperson to finance, it was great and well worth it. The buying process did seem a bit long, but not unlike the store, from the front desk to the salesperson to finance, it was great and well worth it. The buying process did seem a bit long, but not unlike other car purchases, I have made over the years. What they promised is what I got, from the sale itself to the service afterwards. They did have to locate the Accord my wife and I wanted but they kept us updated daily, which was nice and frankly a bit unusual from other experiences we have had at other dealerships. The Accord came in on time, was ready for us when we arrived and there were no surprises. A friend recommended them and I would do the same. More
You can't believe a word that they say. I dealt with both the new and used car managers. They say pretty things but fail to do them. Both don't tell the truth and fail to get back to you when they cla both the new and used car managers. They say pretty things but fail to do them. Both don't tell the truth and fail to get back to you when they claim they will. Stay away. Honda makes great cars but there are many, many other reputable dealerships to do business with. More
I recently purchased the top-end Honda Odyssey Touring model from this dealership. The low score that I gave this dealership stems from a few factors. The first is that the internet quote that I was giv model from this dealership. The low score that I gave this dealership stems from a few factors. The first is that the internet quote that I was given did not match the reality because it did not include the fact that every car on the lot had about $2000 of non-value added dealer add-ons including $599 for wax (EPP), $299 for pinstriping, $599 for the PRO package of locking wheel nuts and mud guards, and $299 for window tinting. When I mentioned that I didn't want any of these add-ons the negotiations began with the typical hold and wait until they wear you out routine. Eventually we got to a negotiated price, but then was told that I couldn't get the Honda advertised lease rate because I had already used up their manufacturer to dealer incentive (dealer cash) and I couldn't combine the two. I pointed out that on Honda's own website it mentions nothing of this and I had run the numbers previously to show them what the monthly payment at the special rate was way below their quoted monthly payment. This brings me to the most concerning issue in that at this point the sales manager becomes visibly frustrutated, I am frustrated, and the sales managers goes away in a huff and says "he is losing money on this deal". I have bought many new cars and I can truly say that this is the most unprofessional team I have ever seen. It continued in the Finance & Insurance office when I didn't take any additional warranties, or window VIN etching, LoJack, etc, etc. The finance manager point-blank asked me if I just thought these were a way for the dealer to boost it's profits (of course I said yes) -- truly incredibly unprofessional. All of this still took over 4 hours even though I walked in knowing exactly what car I wanted and did not even do a test drive. Luckily I had done my homework and knew the market value and incentives offered so I came out relatively unscathed. Needless to say, this dealership will not get my service work or repeat business.
