This was my second purchase at David McDavid Honda in 5 years. The first purchase was great and although I did not go to the delearship with the intent to purchase another vehicle during this visit, I was years. The first purchase was great and although I did not go to the delearship with the intent to purchase another vehicle during this visit, I was interested to see if they could make me a good deal on another vehicle purchase. Yet again, THEY DID! I not only traded in my current vehicle (with negative equity) I went home in a new luxury of vehicle of MY choice. I am definitely a repeat customer. And I don't want to forget to mention - Great customer service! Thanks Tony and Chad. More
After a bad experience with another dealership I was very apprehensive to continue buying another car. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Hector who was very friendly and listened to my concerns and quickly l apprehensive to continue buying another car. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Hector who was very friendly and listened to my concerns and quickly located a car that fit my needs. We came to an agreed price for the car but I was still very apprehensive. After a while Hector brought Justin in who asked what they needed to do for me to buy the car. At this time I asked for something I felt I had no chance of getting..... this was a money back gauarentee. To my surprise, Justin asked how many days I felt I would need and I said a week. Without hesitation he agreed to put that in writing and within just a few minutes he came back with a form stating that I can drive the car for a week and get it checked out by a mechanic and if for any reason I find anything wrong with the car I can bring it back for repair or if I preferred a full refund......just WOW! How could I not buy the car?.....so buy the car I did and I have had no regrets. My mechanic found a few minor issues and I contacted Hector and Justin and they said they would be more than happy to take care of those. Overall, I am very pleased with this experience and specifically with Hector and Justin. I would recommend David McDavid Honda to anyone that is looking for a car and wants to be treated right and fair. More

This by far was the WORST experience I have ever had when buying a car. The dealer not only patronized me the entire time during the sale he lied over the phone and then to my face. When I called and ask buying a car. The dealer not only patronized me the entire time during the sale he lied over the phone and then to my face. When I called and asked about how much a specific vehicle cost he gave me one price when I got there that was not the price on the car, and said he doesn't ever recall giving me that price. After telling him that I just drove 45 mins to get that car he said he would make the car for the price that he gave me over the phone. While Finishing things up he brings me some papers and tells me that the cars value is 2,000$ more than the asking price and that he was already giving me a deal... Which to me makes no sense cause the price he gave me over the phone was 3,000$ less than the "asking price" and I know for a fact that the car could not be that much. He told me he would talk to his boss and try to lower the monthly cost which he did but the total amount didn't change which to me didn't make any sense either. After going through all this towards the end I meet up with him again and he gives me the car keys, when I start the ignition the key falls apart. He tells me I started the car wrong. He then tries it and it falls apart as well... I guess he did it wrong as well. He puts the key together and says he has to go. It hasn't been even a month and regret ever stepping in this stealership, the car is already having problems (luckly I decided to pay for the extended warranty). I know that some of this is my fault cause I signed the papers, in way it's my fault for not walking away. I totally understand that but the more I think about it the worse I feel about the experience. Although the other people working there seemed nice, Sayed Azhar was not only a snake but everything you don't want in a sales person! More
My wife and I had our nissan altima 2.5 destroyed by a tornado in Coppell, TX the first week in April, 2012. That was our only vehicle, so we had to rent a vehicle for 2 weeks our of pocket, as we didn' tornado in Coppell, TX the first week in April, 2012. That was our only vehicle, so we had to rent a vehicle for 2 weeks our of pocket, as we didn't have rental on our car insurance policy. We were down to our last three days when when we received a call back in response to our contacting various dealers, inquiring about pre-owned cars....that was in the morning and my wife was a her job so we weren't able to go see Ronnie at David McDavid Honda until she got home. When she did, she called called back immediately, and said we would be there within 45 minutes, but was told that the Camry we were going to see had sold, but if we would go there anyway, he had other cars he could show us. So we did go. We met Ronnie and he showed us an Odessey (too big), Pontiac Vibe (too lite), and a Honda 2006 Accord SE with 78,000 miles... we loved the Honda, so we started talking and Ronnie was wonderful. My wife and I felt that he really understood our dilema, and he really wanted to help us get into the 2006 Accord SE. Ronnie said not to worry about the late hour...he had all night, and not to worry that the dealership was closed. We finally reached an agreement, and he took us to the Business Manager (to fill out the financial paperwork) ... That gentleman was wonderful as well. We finally completed everything by about 10:30pm, and headed for home...Ronnie had agreed to fix all the paint chipping and detailing issues we had wanted fixed, and said it would be done by Saturday morning, the day we had to return the rental. On Saturday, we picked up the car. My wife and I were very impressed at Ronnie's professionalism, and how hard he worked to help put us into that Accord... we were very impressed with how he worked with us, and with his maturity. We had gone to other dealers, but none were even close to what we found in that young man - Ronnie Meyers. He is a huge asset to that dealership. We would definately return to that dealership, and recommend it to anyone else that was looking for a car. One final note: when we picked up the car, Ronnie also went with us to show us the way to the Irving Mall. He's the best salesperson I had ever dealt with, and I've own about 8 cars in my 65 years. We enjoyed working with Sayed. He was very professional and he knew his product very well. He was also very prompt sending us a DVD remote for the Honda Pilot. The only negative experience was some confus and he knew his product very well. He was also very prompt sending us a DVD remote for the Honda Pilot. The only negative experience was some confusion with the tag, title, and tax with the vehicle with us being out of state buyers and a Monday, 1:00 deadline expected from the dealership for financing that was not communicated with us. Overall, we were very pleased working with Sayed and I would highly recommend him. Lana Elmore More
I don't remember the name of the gentleman that greeted and showed me in the first time but he was very friendly and professional. However, the other people that handled my request where very rude and unpr and showed me in the first time but he was very friendly and professional. However, the other people that handled my request where very rude and unprofessional. I clearly explained to them that I was a first time buyer and there were some guidelines I was looking for in a car or a deal. I also explained to them that if it was not possible for us to come to an agreement, then I was willing to wait out a couple of months so as to save up some money and come back for the car I wanted. I'm sorry I can't remember their names but the second guy (i'm guessing in finance) laughed to my face at my offer instead of professionally telling me it was impossible...he then walked back into the room with the other staff , closed the door behind him, but I could clearly hear them mocking me about my offer.I left the dealership feeling extremely worthless.....I walked into David McDavid Acura of plano and the service there was AMAZING! So much so that I went a head and bought a car from them....even though I had left the house with the sole purpose of window shopping... More
So on a whim I decided to see whether or not my family would be able to upgrade our 2011 Honda Pilot to a 2012 Honda Odyssey. I emailed Travis in the morning, he invited me and my family (wife and five children) to their sales event that evening and I drove out with a far more comfortable Odyssey that night. I couldn't believe how they would pay top dollar for my trade as well as give me a stellar deal, but that is why I have bought three cars in four years from these guys...simply awesome. More
I bought a 2012 Odyssey EX-L last weekend and did most of my negotiating via e-mail and text with all dealers. Travis Quadlander and Paul Hahn honored their price that was negotiated (fair price for both si my negotiating via e-mail and text with all dealers. Travis Quadlander and Paul Hahn honored their price that was negotiated (fair price for both sides). I got there, started paperwork and although the paperwork part took a few hours, it was exactly the price I was quoted with no gimmicks. Not sure why all the negative comments. I say people should do all their negotiating via e-mail and texting and phone. There is no reason to visit more than 2 dealerships. Once to test drive the car you want, and the last time to get the car you want (if you want to drive a lot of different models, it's part of the territory). You go in, say I am only going to spend 45 minutes here, and want to test drive x, y, and z cars (or how many you want). But you just have to leave after 45 minutes after you test drive. Plain and simple. Now, once you have negotiated, if they don't give you the deal you negotiated, just walk away. Can't get attached to this stuff, it's just a car...in case there was any issues with the deal, I negotiated a backup deal and had no problem walking away. But Travis and Paul honored their price commitment, no gimmicks, and I felt it was a fair deal. There is so much info on new cars on the internet now, shame on any buyer that can't take control of the situation. More
