This dealership sold me a car that had a slew of problems, initially gave me trouble when I tried to fix it, didn’t give me a choice of car (I was trading in another car for one that was more afford problems, initially gave me trouble when I tried to fix it, didn’t give me a choice of car (I was trading in another car for one that was more affordable), and has been unhelpful, disrespectful, and painfully slow in all of my interactions with them. It is September 23rd of 2023 and I have been trying to find a solution with them since December 1st of 2022, when I first came in after extensive repairs after having only had the car for eleven months. They will ignore you, vehemently try to sell you another vehicle, not take you seriously, and hustle you. I have emailed the sales manager and called him a ludicrous amount of times with little response. After communicating my frustrations to someone in sales yesterday (I did not receive a response for two days when I was told it would take 45 minutes), they hung up on me. This dealership doesn’t care about talking to you unless it’s going to make them money. The second you have a problem or need your vehicle serviced, they will give you the run around. Every time that I have gone there and need a repair, they are unclear about a time frame of service and a rental vehicle has NEVER been available, because at a dealership of that size apparently they only have one rental vehicle. They are rude, condescending, and do not follow through on their promises. When I went to the better business bureau, that is the only time I received a prompt response as it’s required. The sales manager then communicated to me that he would solve the issue outside of the better business bureau because according to him the BBB was a waste of time and not worth working through (of course I am taking that with a grain of salt). You would think that any reputable company would treat returning clients with respect, however that is not the case here. Please, just buy a car somewhere else. More
If I wished to drive my worst enemies slowly insane, I would recommend they have their car serviced here. First of all, the place is a nightmare to get to, at a congested intersection with only a right tu would recommend they have their car serviced here. First of all, the place is a nightmare to get to, at a congested intersection with only a right turn entrance. One can sit through three or four cycles of the traffic light before being able to turn in. Once there, I found myself returning no fewer than six times for unsatisfactory repairs to the suspension of my 2011 Honda Element. The groaning and creaking sound from the suspension was diagnosed as worn out struts and shocks. Over $2,500 later, the creaking persisted. On my fourth visit, they managed to damage the trim piece under the driver's door. On my sixth visit, they refused to work on the suspension unless I paid over $1,000 to have the fuel lines drained and cleaned after the check-engine light came on due to 50-something% ethanol fuel I'd purchased elsewhere a few days before. I told them the creaking was louder and more persistent than ever, and didn't require a test drive to hear. They refused to work on it without test driving it first, and refused to test drive it unless I had them work on the fuel lines. I'm so done with that place. The only reason I give them one star is that everyone was helpful until the last visit, and seemed to be trying to work the problem. Frank seemed like a good guy stuck in the middle of my aggravating experience. They replaced the broken trim piece on my fifth visit, and didn't charge me extra once I'd paid for the new struts and shocks. I still have the creaking noise though, louder than ever. More
I used the KBB ICO process, received an offer plus a dealer boost (likely because this is a Honda S2000 that's been serviced religiously at this dealership since it was purchased in 2005), and set an ap dealer boost (likely because this is a Honda S2000 that's been serviced religiously at this dealership since it was purchased in 2005), and set an appointment for Sunday morning after an email conversation with DCH rep Anthony. I show up, and the person I set the appointment with is apparently off. Ok, no problem, someone else can help me. I bring up the ICO offer I received (that DCH Honda Mission Valley boosted themselves) and try to give them the offer code so they can compare my inputs to the conditions they determine, and no one even wants to look at my ICO offer. I bring it up again, hey guys, I'm here because of this ICO offer, and they won't even acknowledge it. After 10 mins they come back with an offer 4875 lower than the prior offer and still won't even look at the ICO. If you guys don't want to use the KBB ICO process, then don't use their service, boost my offer at your own dealer, and waste my time. What an absolute joke of customer service, really earning that stealership reputation. More
Recently purchased a truck at DCH Honda and it was a nightmare. After signing papers and about to drive home we realized the stereo wasn’t working. They said the service people knew about it not working nightmare. After signing papers and about to drive home we realized the stereo wasn’t working. They said the service people knew about it not working and had a work order to fix it. Why would they sell a car that wasn’t completely finished. So they gave us a work order. They told us that Lisa would be calling us to set up days. Well Lisa never called and I called her and she hung up. After she called me back and she explained Jeff was gone (general manager) and she can put the work order in but it would most likely take 1 month to fix after ordering the pieces. A month to fix a situation that was their fault. I had already waited at the dealership for 5 hours purchasing the car. We ended up fixing it ourselves and they won’t even reimburse us. The general manager said he will look into it and yet never called us back. I left voicemail after voicemail. Their customer service is horrible. Please if you need a car go across the street to Toyota. They have an amazing sale team and amazing customer service. We told all our military friends about this place. Stay away from them. They only want to make a sale they don’t care about their customers. More
Rude and Insulting I showed up to buy a HR-V on Sunday morning. The salesperson was a pleasure to talk to. But who ever showed up to discuss the finance and pricing (do not remember seeing a name tag) was morning. The salesperson was a pleasure to talk to. But who ever showed up to discuss the finance and pricing (do not remember seeing a name tag) was rude and insulting. After expressing my concern with the proposed down payment and monthly payments, the solution suggested to solve my problems was to divorce my wife and start living in the car. I left the DCH Honda of Mission Valley dealer, went to another dealer and got the car that I wanted with the price that I wanted. The price that I had in mind was not unreasonable. The only reason I am give 1 star, and not zero, is because of the salesperson, that was a gentleman. More
Worst service I have ever had with Honda. Never go there for any services. I moved to California recently. I have been a customer of Honda for more than 10 years in Nevada and received the best service when for any services. I moved to California recently. I have been a customer of Honda for more than 10 years in Nevada and received the best service when I lived there. I went to this dealership for a express oil change. They accepted my car but after more than half hour, a very rude staff, Anthony Schaffer told me I should have an appointment for oil change and refused this service. I have never made an appointment for express oil change and there is no information in the website that inform I need an appointment for express oil change. I asked to talk with his manager, he said. there is no manger on Saturday!! I asked about his name but he did not give me his name that is very unprofessional. I found his business card in back of his desk. I do not recommend for any services with this dealership. Mani K. More

Service staff was less than friendly and treated me with contempt because I'm old and I was upset about the warranty and exorbitant price for a tune up. Service then proceeded to reprogram my key fob, chang contempt because I'm old and I was upset about the warranty and exorbitant price for a tune up. Service then proceeded to reprogram my key fob, changed my default seat, changed my clock, and said the console was fine. I had to reprogram it for Apple Car play as well. All the while, my console goes black on a regular basis. In addition, now the inside lights do not come on when I open the door. They had no record of my extended warranty, and then said that Honda doesn't keep track of warranties purchased at other dealers. Then I waited in line for a battery for fifteen minutes almost, the guy just ignored me, and when I got in the other line, my service rep said to wait in the other line. He was by then on a call, and she was sarcastic with me about it. ($15 for a battery that is at most $5 and it took him seconds to replace.) This is unacceptable behavior. I think I'll go back to a FORD next time I need a car. All of the intermittent issues were unresolved...so much for service and a warranty. More
DCH is supposed to stand for Delivering Customer Happiness... But what it actually should mean is Don't Come Here. Seriously. Don't. I had the WORST car buying experience DCH Mission Valley. Happiness... But what it actually should mean is Don't Come Here. Seriously. Don't. I had the WORST car buying experience DCH Mission Valley. They were the first dealership we checked out because of Cotsco Auto and it will be the last time we EVER go there. We will never recommend this dealership to anyone and we will definitely warn people that Costco is connected to DCH Mission Valley for Honda's. That's how bad the experience was. DCH mission valley was our first dealership choice because we wanted to check out what Costco Auto had to offer. DCH Mission Valley was the dealership connected to Costco that had the 2021 Honda Odyssey. I received an email from Anthony Alonzo, which I actually appreciated, because I'm an email person. He mentioned they had the car selected in stock(2021 black elite). I asked if they had a specific color(Gray) and his manager, George, responded that they had another model in Gray(the Touring) and asked if we were interested in considering that model. We were considering the Touring and so I asked if we can come in to compare the two models. An appointment was set for 3:30pm Sunday, May 23rd. Around 2:30pm, day of appointment, I receive an email from Anthony confirming the appointment because he wanted to be sure he set time aside to give me the attention I need. I confirmed. We arrive at DCH Honda for our scheduled appointment and we are greeted by Richard Ramirez. We told him we've been in contact with Anthony and George and have an appointment at 3:30pm. Richard then told us that Anthony didn't even come in to work that day, which was weird since he sent us a confirmation email an hour prior. Then he pointed at George and said "and George is over there helping someone else. So what are you looking for? New? Used?..." We then had to explain to him the email conversation we already had with Anthony and George about comparing two models. He leads us to his desk where he GOOGLES "differences between Honda odyssey elite and touring" turns the screen around and says "well here's the differences right here". At that moment, I already knew that I did not want to purchase a car for that dealership.... Ever! He then took us to look at the van in person. When we got to the vans. He pointed at it. And that's it. Literally pointed at it and said "here's the Elite and Touring". When I said that we want to see the differences he says, "well I showed them to you on the computer. I'm not sure what else you want to know." We go back to the offices and he asked his other colleague if there are any 2021s available because what he showed us was a 2022. The guy said there were none and told them "well I wish Anthony or George told us that because in the email conversation the car selected was a 2021 and they never said that the car was already sold or unavailable." To my surprise, George was sitting at the desk too and he said he didn't know we were looking for a 2021 and he began to rudely question why we want a 2021 than a 2022 and said "well we can throw numbers around it doesn't matter if it's 21 or 22". I then said, already upset and disappointed, "Ok can we see the the vans in person? Can we see the inside and actually compare the differences. I want to see it." I had to ASK to see the cars! Shouldn't that be their job? Richard says, "well I guess we gotta walk all the way back." So we walk back to the vans. He unlocks it, and that's all he does! He doesn't turn them on to show us anything in the van. He doesn't tell us about the features. We literally had to go on ourselves, looking stupid, figuring out the van ourselves. Richard then go back and forth to each van sticker reading the features, calling the difference out loud. He knew nothing and showed us nothing! On top of that, Richard would squeeze between the vans making his shoulders hit the side mirrors with out a care. They do not care for their vehicles at all! Vehicles that people will be investing thousands of dollars. We left already knowing we would never ever come back. I've already told all my friends and family about my experience and said to never ever go there and do not use Cotsco auto if they're looking for a Honda because they will be sent to DCH Honda. I have a friend looking for a Honda Pilot and I've already told them not to go to DCH and to go to the dealership we purchased our van... Chula Vista Honda who gave us 100% EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. More
