Purchased a new 2013 Outback Limited during the last week of 2012. After a few false starts with the Curry internet team and one of the sales managers prior to coming into the dealership, we were fortunate of 2012. Emilio is a superb salesman that worked with us and was very detailed with the entire process. Although it was the end of the year and the dealership was very busy, Emilio was very patient throughout the engagement and we never felt rushed or pressured into a decision. During the test drive, he explained the features of the car and made sure that we were comfortable with everything and that all of our questions were answered. At time of delivery, he reviewed all of the features in the car and even paired my phone with the Bluetooth system! I would definitely recommend Emilio to anyone that wants a great Subaru car buying experience. More
This was my third Subaru, all from Curry. The Outback seemed a good choice. If my rating was based on my experience with Marc D., my salesperson, all the numbers would have been 5's. Marc went above and beyond what you would normally expect from a car salesman. The day we were shopping he had us test drive a car and then the actual car we purchased on the same day without looking to move from a car salesman. He was very patient and thorough with us taking the time to fully explain all aspects of the car and even staying late the night we picked it up to slowly show us the car's features. I just leased a Forrester for my mother in-law at Curry Subaru. I was able to talk to the manager, Eric, on the phone and receive a quote. I walked into the dealer and made a transaction in less than 20 m Subaru. I was able to talk to the manager, Eric, on the phone and receive a quote. I walked into the dealer and made a transaction in less than 20 min. Everything went smoothly and Rick was fantastic in taking care of the whole situation. I've been to few other Subaru dealers in Dutchess County but never received the type of service I received at Curry's. I strongly recommend this dealer to others who are interested in Subaru cars. We went to Curry Subaru even though it was not close to our home because they had a car on their website that seemed to fit our criteria in our price range. Once at Curry, I met Emilio and he was just as friendly and knowledgeable as Marc. We ended up purchasing the car and their customer service was impeccable. More
My recommendation is more neutral. Rick was great to work with and I paid a fair price for the vehicle, but the car had lot damage when I got it (scratched bumper, two dents on the roof, and sap that wo work with and I paid a fair price for the vehicle, but the car had lot damage when I got it (scratched bumper, two dents on the roof, and sap that would not come off on the hood, roof, and trunk). Body work on those area was done properly, however, they got overspray all over the windows and along both sides of the car. As a result, I had to bring it in again to have it removed. For my inconvenience, they agreed (at my request) to put the XM satellite radio I scheduled to put in at 1/2 price. Unfortunately, I had to bring it back again b/c the radio was not seated properly and they put a small tear in the dash installing it. It was repaired satisfactorily, but now I've noticed that the plastic cover along the door side of the driver's seat (where the seat controls are located) is coming off. Thus, I will have to go back in AGAIN to have it repaired. More
I had a very bad experience trying to buy a car at this dealership. Even though the salesperson, Emilio Coku, was courteous and attentive his sales manager was outright rude and insulting. The sales manager's poor customer relations skills undermined the goodwill that was established by the salesperson and resulted in me walking out of the dealership and buying the car elsewhere for a better price and a more pleasant experience. The sales manager, in his heavy handed attempt to "close the deal", not only lost the sale, but guaranteed that a three time customer will never return. More
They are a wonderful dealer. They are under construction, so it's hard to see a ton of cars, plus I didn't need to, I know what I wanted. When I emailed, I got responses, but it was the holiday weekend and it was wild. I called and an amazing man, Jon Wyllie and I negotiated a car over the phone. I had called a few other places, who ignored me. Jon was wonderful. We set a time to meet. I had to do a lot over the phone as I'm physically-challenged and it's difficult to go from one place to another. With the deal set, my husband and I went for a test drive on the car we had left a deposit and returned 3 days later to find our new car all spiffed up with a beautiful red bow! Jon, understanding we had owned the same car before, went thru the newest and GREAT features, loaded phones and let me see the BRZ engine! He called the next day so excited that we were so thrilled (we all took photos together as we just adored Jon) He wanted to check in and make sure everything was great, if we had any questions and wanted to give us his cell - just in case. Imagine - the only person who would call us back ended up being the greatest guy in the whole showroom - boy, were we lucky! We'll buy our next Subaru ( as we love them ) from Curry and it's all because of Jon...hope he stays a long, long time! More
I was purchasing my first car and after weeks of research, visits to dealerships, and test drives I decided to go with the Subaru Legacy. I worked with Rick Davis and I couldn't be happier with him. He was the complete opposite of the shady salesman everyone told me to watch out for. Rick is professional, courteous, and easy to work with. From the beginning Rick made it clear that he was going to be upfront about everything. Looking back I believe he stayed true to his word. Never once was I surprised, which in this case was a good thing. Highlights: 1) I brought my father with me to assist me with the transaction. Rick understood that my father was there to help me and he included my father in all of the conversations. Whenever Rick asked me my opinion about certain aspects of the car he would always include my father in the conversation. Not once did he try to leave my father out of the conversation. 2) If you have ever shopped for a car you know that salesmen can be relentless with their phone calls. I had salesmen who would call me every other day. On the other hand there were salesmen that never called. Rick hit the sweet spot. He did not call too much and he did not forget that I was interested in a Subaru. 3) A week after I had purchased the car my father noticed a small dent in the passenger fender. It looked like someone had sat on the fender. I had given the car a thorough inspection at the time of purchase but somehow I missed the dent. The only reason my father noticed the dent was because of the angle the car was parked. I called Rick and told him about the dent. Rick said that I could bring the car back to the dealership and they would pop the dent if they could. Rick worked with my schedule (I called him once on his day off and he was more than happy to help me) and the dealership was able to pop the dent at no cost. This situation made me remember something Rick said after I had purchased the car. He told me that purchasing a car from him was not the end of our relationship. If I needed anything he told me I could call him. I figured he was just saying that because that's what all salesmen say, however. After working with Rick to get the dent popped I realized that he is a man of his word. Rick could have told me that once I drove the car off the lot it was my problem and there was nothing he could do. He could have said that the dent was probably my fault and that I needed to bring the car to the dealer before they could let me know if they could repair it. I'm not naive, I'm sure Rick had his doubts about the dent being on the fender at the time of purchase but he never said anything. Like a true professional he waited to see for himself. This dent situation showed me that I can look forward to great customer service at Curry Subaru. Overall, if you are in the market for a Subaru go see Rick. It was a pleasure working with him. More
