Repeated issue, lack of proper resolution We bought two 2019 Jeep Cherokees in June and one has been nothing but a hassle. There was a small chip in the paint and the dealer agreed to fix it b We bought two 2019 Jeep Cherokees in June and one has been nothing but a hassle. There was a small chip in the paint and the dealer agreed to fix it before I signed the paperwork the following week. The vehicle was also delivered without the floor mats, the cargo tonneau cover was broken, and the headlights were leaking water. I've also had to return the vehicle for repair when the rear view mirror fell off the windshield. Upon getting the car back from the paint repair, the paint job was terrible and I refused the return since the chip wasn't even filled in - they just put paint on top of it. The next time they tried to fix it, they blended the paint terribly - you could clearly see where they tried to blend it, and it appeared to be two different shades of white. I again said the repair wasn't done correctly and asked the car to be sent to a body shop of my choice to be fixed properly. The owner told me that wasn't an option and his body shop in North East could repair it properly. I was without the car for nearly two weeks for the first two repairs and 3 days for the third repair. The dealership did provide a rental car. On the third paint repair, I was approached by the staff member who painted my car at the body shop in North East. They had to blend the paint across both doors for a small chip on the driver's door - he stated that he wanted to fix it the right way the first time, but he was told he wasn't allowed to. The paint looked much better, but within several weeks, the chip was visible again and it appears as if the paint has peeled again. I spoke to the owner again and requested a permanent solution. This is a brand new car that will now have been painted four times. I have been offered "several" free oil changes and a "couple" detail jobs for the inconvenience, but nothing has been put in writing despite my requests for it in writing. I'm now waiting for an arbitration hearing to find a permanent solution. The owner promised to continue working with me, but I feel like I've been lied to and taken advantage of to get the sale of this Jeep. I regret buying vehicles from Cunningham and will never buy another vehicle from them. They continually have said they will make it right and fix the issue but I do not want my car to be painted repeatedly. Their customer service has left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend Cunningham and I would avoid their body shop as well. More
