We purchased our 2018 Escape from this dealership brand new 6 years ago. We also purchased an extended warranty at the same time. During the 6 years we have owned the vehicle, we have not had any problems new 6 years ago. We also purchased an extended warranty at the same time. During the 6 years we have owned the vehicle, we have not had any problems (Current mileage is 39,000 and we service it every 6 months with an oil change, tire rotation and safety check by a licensed mechanic) with the vehicle as it is an excellent vehicle. About 3 weeks ago we had a bunch of dashboard light illuminate. The skid control, ABS, 4 weel drive, hill assist, and information lights all were included. We took the vehicle into Crossroads, and they said it would be 2 weeks before we could get it looked at. I asked if it was safe to drive and was told they think so??? I immediately took it to my mechanic, and he said it would be ok until Ford looked at it. 2 weeks later we dropped it off at Crossroads service and got their courtesy shuttle home. They called us and said the bill was $319. I asked them if they used the extended warranty, and they said not yet. I had already reminded them twice that we have an extended warranty. They said they needed up to 48 hours to check it out with the warranty company. A short time later they drove my car to my house and dropped it to me. Still had not resolved the bill. I received an email with $285 due. I called them and they said the warranty company just paid and to disregard the bill. The next day I drove to Crossroads and got a printed bill. It showed $39.00 for a part (ABS sensor for right rear) and $245.00 in labor. Overall, I am pleased our Escape is fixed but wasn't thrilled that I had to guess if it was safe to drive and wait 2 weeks to get it taken care of. More
