When I brought my 2020 F150 in for oil change, tire rotation, State inspection, and the DEF (deiseal exhaust fluid) light and check engine light were on. The rep said that the check engine light would rotation, State inspection, and the DEF (deiseal exhaust fluid) light and check engine light were on. The rep said that the check engine light would not have come on due to the vehicle being low on DEF. (According to Pass one this was not correct). I asked the person doing the oil change if there was anything else I needed to be aware of and should keep an eye on. The individual said that he had just started to work at Covert Ford and that he would ask the technician. The technician wasn't aware that my vehicles oil change, State inspection, tire rotation, and the DEF were all covered under a maintenance agreement that I purchased along with the new vehicle. Since my vehicle was approaching the end of the 36K mile warranty period I wanted to ensure that any problems were attended to. The vehicle was supposed to be inspected and all problems should have been gone over with me prior to Covert releasing the vehicle to me. This did not happen, as I left Covert and headed to my Bank near the dealership I noticed that the check engine light was still on. I returned to covert Austin to find out what was going on. I was told that it would be the following month before a Deiseal Technician would be available to check run diagnosis on My F150. The service adviser was able to access the Wi-Fi and the check engine light had gone out. I called the Covert dealership in Hutto and was told that they would be able to schedule my vehicle for diagnostics in 4 weeks (better than over a month at the Austin location). Even with the check engine light out and all gages indicating that there was no problems such as oil pressure, exhaust problems, temperature or otherwise, I still did not feel comfortable that there were no problems that need to be addressed. I contacted Sewell ford of Marble Falls and the service supervisor connected to the Wi-Fi on my vehicle and sure enough the check engine light appeared to be lit on his system, the check engine light was not on in the vehicle. I was set up for an appointment the following week to check out the electrical problems and check out the Exhaust problems. I watched the Technician check out the system, the technician used the same Wi-Fi system to check out the DEF problem that everyone else had at there disposal. After running a test on the DEF pump the technician cleared what he called a hard error that could have been causing the erroneous failure light. My vehicle sat for a couple of weeks due to an erroneous error message that it took a technician less than 30 min. to check out and clear. My vehicle would have sat at Covert Ford Austin for over a month or at Covert Ford Hutto for what I was told would be over 3 weeks due to an erroneous error message that could have and should have taken no more than an hour to evaluate and clear. I understand manpower problems and lack of facilities but I "Do not" understand why this should be a customer problem. More

They forgot vehicle inspection that was requested when appointment made. Took over an hour and a half for oil change and tire rotation, even though it was the first appointment of the day. The tire rotation was not necessary and was not covered under the prepaid plan. Not sure why they did it. More
