I took my 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LE in for an oil change and while it was in for service I wanted to have my battery and or ignition looked at. When the car would get hot after 30-45 minutes of driving I would while it was in for service I wanted to have my battery and or ignition looked at. When the car would get hot after 30-45 minutes of driving I would park, then try and start it and it wouldn’t consistently start. There was a couple times I was stranded and had to get the battery jumped started once. The tech said it was the battery so it was replaced and the oil change change was done. When I got my car back I noticed that my gas light was on and the low mileage warning was on. This is the second warning that pops up a little while after you are driving on low fuel. My car definetly did not have the gas light on when I left it there. I then decided to check the mileage in and out. I was surprised to see my car it was driven 24 miles since I left it at the dealer. I know with swapping the battery there is some work that needs to be done with the memory of the car and getting it back up to running spec. However, I feel like 24 miles is a VERY far distance for a car to be “worked” on, especially for a battery swap. I spoke with my dad who owned an independent shop and worked at a dealership as well. His take was the amount of miles driven was definetly not standard. If anyone at the dealer can legitimately tell me the mileage driven on my car was standard and by the book I am welcome to hear it. At this point I feel like my car was taken around town and given back to me with fumes left in my gas tank. I have worked with a couple different service people and they were great. I even received a phone call from the company Courtesey Chevrolet uses for feedback about your service experience. So I explained my concerns about the mileage drive on my car. I was told my feedback would be forwarded to the manager and I would hear back. It has been a week since that phone call and no one has called me to address my concerns. That is definitely a missed oppurtunity by management because I wouldn’t be writing this review if someone called me to address my concerns. More
