I preface this review with the fact that I have never left a negative review for any business and understand that people have bad days, products have occasional issues, etc. However I feel compelled to left a negative review for any business and understand that people have bad days, products have occasional issues, etc. However I feel compelled to make the dealership owner group and other potential customers aware of the unethical and potentially illegal false advertising practices employed at the Suburban Buick, GMC and Cadillac of Costa Mesa. Without further ado, here's the tale of my attempted experience in buying a new 2022 GMC 2500 HD from Manny and his team at Suburban. I'd been looking high and low for a few months for a GMC 2500 Long Bed, Double Cab, 6.6 gas, 4x4, lower trim level. Of course I could order one but I wasn't excited about paying MSRP for a vehicle that the dealership only has to order and has no other risk or expenses involved in the transaction. When I stumbled on this particular truck at Suburban, the price was well below MSRP. So even though I'm located in Kansas and the truck was in California I got a quote for shipping and called up the dealer to ask about handling the transaction remotely and for a video walk-around of the truck. Salesman Number 1 (can't remember his name) said it wasn't possible for them to do sales remotely and I must be present. I said that seems odd but send me the video and I'll book a flight to do the paperwork. Waited a day and no video. Call back the next day and #1 answers the call. Asked him where the video was and without answering transfers me to Salesman #2, Manny Heredia. I explain my interest and ask for the video. Quicker than a scalded cat, Manny said I have to tell you that the vehicle is no longer on sale, the price has gone up. I replied, "On sale? It's been the same price on your website for at least a week since I saw it and it never once was listed as a sale price or provided a date the sale would expire. So how was it "On Sale" He responded things go on sale all the time and the sale is over now on this one. Maybe it will be on sale again in the future. The price was raised by approximately $3,000. Now I'm no big city lawyer but how this vehicle ironically changed price from one day to the next once they learned of my interest seems suspect. It wreaks of a classic bait and switch technique that makes peoples stomach turn at the thought dealing with car salesmen. This outfit is more crooked than a barrel full of fish hooks, and as for Manny why he's slicker than a boiled onion. More
I went in to Suburban Cadillac of Costa Mesa, CA to purchase the XT5 I had been leasing through GM Financial, which was at its lease termination with option to purchase at set/fixed price. Intention was to do this as a cash purchase - a seemingly very straightforward purchase of what was virtually my own vehicle anyway. As part of finalizing the paperwork, Suburban Cadillac insisted that I had to pay $995 for a safety inspection of my vehicle. After much back and forth with Suburban, and as they would not shift away from this, I finally relented, just to move on with things. Astoundingly (or maybe not, in hindsight), Suburban never performed any safety inspection, never provided any safety report/recommendation, etc. No one from Suburban ever had the keys to the car, didn't take it into the shop, didn't look under the vehicle, didn't open the hood, etc. Basically, the $995 'safety inspection' was just a farce, really more like a fraud. Just a way to extort money from customers, while providing no added-value and no added-service. I would strongly advise folks to avoid this dealership, or proceed with Suburban only with great caution and skepticism. Suburban Cadillac does not appear to be a trustworthy or ethical dealership - to say the least. More

Service was very quick. Waiting area is awesome with free drinks and snacks. The place is very clean and comfortable. Went to purchase a used truck from them, agreed on a price over the phone, was told they would deliver the vehicle to us. First quote comes to us and its padded with glass etching and other items not even on the truck. Then after being forced to come to the dealer the truck wasn't ready and had damages and missing features from the listing. Finally when trying to buy the car forced to wait 1.5 hours for the finance guy. Even after all that they wouldn't pay the $25 uber fare for us coming to the dealer a 2nd time. Ultimate pettiness and bad customer service. More

Run Far Away! I live out of town and saw a vehicle posted by this dealership on a website. On the website, the price was posted as one amount and so I called over two weeks trying to get something set up, so that I could come into town and purchase the vehicle. I spoke with two different people at this place trying to get the purchase done. They would not budge on the price, even through I am coming from a distance. They would do nothing to help get this vehicle to me, even though I ended up telling them I would pay the full purchase price. I kept trying to speak to someone in person and they would not answer the phone, but would text me the prices. About a week passed of trying to get something worked out, and after I told them I would pay the full price, they then texted me a "new price" for the car, which was higher than what was initially advertised. Run far away from this place. Unhelpful, uncooperative and they just don't care! More

I always felt appreciated and John was always listening to my wants and needs. This was the second Cadillac dealership I visited while shopping for a CTS-V. It was Suburban Cadilac that won my business because they still believe in servicing their customers and I appreciate that a great deal. I don't want a deal. I want a trustworthy partnership and a dealership that I can comfortably visit for all service needs. I cannot say enough about how great I felt working with John and taking ownership of my 2018 CTS-V. I highly recommend Suburban Cadillac. Oh, and Cadillac is definitely not for your dad alone anymore! More
