Made an appointment to see a particular vehicle the next morning. Got there after a 45-minute drive to find that it was sold and that no one had told me. Then asked about my preferences for a vehicle and I morning. Got there after a 45-minute drive to find that it was sold and that no one had told me. Then asked about my preferences for a vehicle and I was clear about those as well as budget. Proceeded to show me a very nice vehicle, only to tell me later that it’s out of my price range (following test drive). Then showed info on two other vehicles, promised both would meet requirements, including budget. I was pressed for time and we were already behind, so the plan was to return in 1.5 to see/drive one of these vehicles and ideally sign the paperwork. Returned after appointments to hear that those vehicles (same make/model, different years) do not in fact have a third row (this was central requirement). Instead, said manager would make sure we could get the initial vehicle that I was told was out of budget into budget. Brought papers back and found that they had taken the add-on service off to make it fit. Was still out of budget, and warranties hadn’t even been worked in yet. I was getting tired and agreed to put down more for downpayment to get the service package added back on. They agreed and I was sent to the financial guy, who was very nice and helpful. Still, in the end, my $475 budget ballooned to $603 a month. Everyone was very nice, of course, but the whole experience was rather a mess. Then, next day, I get ready to see the vehicle and it is very nearly on empty. Good times. More

I believe that y'all are honest and that's why I go to you. I get that older cars have issues and that's real. But going in expecting to spend $280 and spending $830 sucks. I believe these were probably n you. I get that older cars have issues and that's real. But going in expecting to spend $280 and spending $830 sucks. I believe these were probably necessary things and solving them now makes me a safer in the long run or will keep my car working longer. That's why I found a way to make them happen. But I don't actually have an extra $500 laying around and it makes me wary and skeptical about bringing the car in in the future. I'm recognizing my own cognitive dissonance and trying to make peace and find reasoning, but it wasn't great. More
