Check engine light came on with VSC at 152,000 miles - loose vacumn hose was re-attached. I payed $900 for a total servicing on my Toyota Highlander at that time. Then 18,000 miles later the check eng loose vacumn hose was re-attached. I payed $900 for a total servicing on my Toyota Highlander at that time. Then 18,000 miles later the check engine light and VSC light came on again. Upon checking, the same hose came loose again....original fix was not done in a way that would prevent it from happening again. I was told that I needed to pay $110 for tec to use computer to verify this and re-set the lights. Preston was helpful in getting the vacumn hose replaced and a new clamp installed at no additional change to me so that this will hopefully not happen again. This should have been done the first time. Preston was helpful: keeping me informed of the work being done, explaining the problem, and coming up with the proper fix at no extra charge, but he was not able to credit me the regular $110 fee.
