I requested a quote for a Crosstrek XT Premium from several area dealers. Beard's price was the lowest. Initially they did not offer me a very good price for my trade-in, a 2005 Outback, but after a several area dealers. Beard's price was the lowest. Initially they did not offer me a very good price for my trade-in, a 2005 Outback, but after a little haggling, their offer came up to an acceptable level. If the invoice price given on the Edmunds site is correct, I got my Crosstrek for slightly under the invoice price, considering the options I chose. I've had the car a month and love it. I kayak and the crossbars were a little too close together for me to get the kayak tied down really securely. I called Beard yesterday and asked if I could stop in today to have them move the cross-bars and they said yes. I was out of there in about 10 minutes. I'm a very happy camper. More
My son's car was purchased used and the warranty was though this dealer. We were issued a recall to be done for free and they didn't want to do it at first ( unless we were having a problem). Well I not though this dealer. We were issued a recall to be done for free and they didn't want to do it at first ( unless we were having a problem). Well I not sure about them, but when you have your child driving you don't want the car to have ANY issues. Next a check engine light came on and we brought the car in and they told us there was a spider's nest in the manifold and they cleaned it out for 200.00. ( a friend father who is a mechanic told us they say that when there is a pin hole in the fuel gauge which is very hard to find and fix). 3 months later the check engine light came on again. This time they told us it was a pin hole in the gas gauge and it would be 300+ to fix it. My son didn't the money to fix it at that time and they charged him 98.00 for the diagnosis. Since he was heading to college and the car would be sitting in our driveway he waited 8 months to call and make an appointment to have the pin hole fixed. He brought it in and they then told him that they thought it would be covered by the warranty ( at Honda where it was purchased) And then charged him 98.00 AGAIN. I told him to call and complain, which he did and emailed twice. No answer , no call NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! NEVER will I buy a car from them. But I will tell every I know NOT to go there? More
