I love this dealership! I live in Tewksbury and there is a Honda dealership in the town (were I bought my first Honda). The way I was treated by the salesman and repair shop made sure I would never step fo a Honda dealership in the town (were I bought my first Honda). The way I was treated by the salesman and repair shop made sure I would never step foot in their building again! I found Commonwealth Motors and started to bring my 2004 to there to be serviced. They even installed leather for me (2004's did not come with leather) they did a greate job with that too. I wentto Commonwealth to buy my new CRV because they treat me with respect, they don't talk down to me because I am a woman. I bought my new CRV from Gary Kotyla at Commonwealth and he was very informed and took as much time with me as I needed and answered all my questions. I will continue to make the (small) hike to have my new car serviced at Commonwealth Motors. More
I was impressed with Song's knowledge of the technical aspects of the Hone Civic I purchased. Pricing was competitive with other dealers I had visited but the deal closer was the trip through the service aspects of the Hone Civic I purchased. Pricing was competitive with other dealers I had visited but the deal closer was the trip through the service center and the fact that I would receive discounts on any wok done to my car. Also, Song was upbeat at every turn of the conversation More

I had a terrific experience with Commonwealth leasing my most recent vehicle with them. Actually, I'm a return customer, having leased my last car with them too. They contacted me prior to my lease being most recent vehicle with them. Actually, I'm a return customer, having leased my last car with them too. They contacted me prior to my lease being up and started working with me to get me in a new car. It was such an easy process. They took care of everything and all I had to do was show up and sign the paperwork. Enyel made time in his schedule to talk to me when it was convenient to me. With two small kids, it was hard to get into the dealership and spend a lot of time negotiating. Well, I didn't have to negotiate much at all. They gave me the best price around and after calling other dealerships, no one else could beat it. I am a very happy customer and plan to go back to Commonwealth again and again and recommend them to anyone who will listen! More
I already mentioned in my earlier review that I have been a customer of Commonwealth Honda for many years since I bought a car from them in 2004. I had my cars serviced there ever since, and I had a chance t a customer of Commonwealth Honda for many years since I bought a car from them in 2004. I had my cars serviced there ever since, and I had a chance to work with many service advisers and technicians. This review is my belated attempt to acknowledge their excellent work. Their customer focus and attention to details is simply unmatched - and over the years I had worked with many of them. They are the pros who truly know Honda cars, who will make sure to explain the services that need to be done, and will work with you every step of the way. When in need of a substantial maintenance/repair service - they will make sure that you take every possible opportunity to manage the cost of service, which is already the lowest among their competitors in the region. Many times I was offered coupons and discounts that I didn't even know existed, and over the years I developed a lot of respect and trust in them knowing that my cars will be serviced the right way and for the right price. Some people consider maintenance services done by a dealer to be an unnecessary expense - based on my experience I can assure you that nothing can be further from the truth. My 2002 Honda Odyssey was purchased new and maintained by Commonwealth Honda. Everything was done according to the manufacturer's recommendations but seven years later, when the car had over 90,000 miles, the transmission died. No one would expect it to happen at 90,000 miles but it did happen. Out of warranty, I was faced with really substantial repair costs. My only hope was to try to reason with Honda that since the car had been regularly serviced and maintained properly the only plausible explanation for a catastrophic transmission failure would have been a hidden manufacturing defect. At that time, Commonwealth service department manager volunteered to contact Honda on my behalf and, as a result, he worked out an arrangement with them where they agreed to cover the cost of all replacement parts (over $4,500 in total) and I would only pay a modest amount to cover the labor charges to replace the transmission and computer module. This was the time when I realized that diligent and regular maintenance of a vehicle with all the work done by professional, factory-trained technicians with the service records to prove it is a key factor. In most cases it will simply prevent major problem from happening but at the same time it serves as an insurance policy that may pay back big time, should something happen with a major component of a vehicle. I highly recommend Commonwealth Honda service department for all your maintenance / repair needs. Friendly and professional advisers and technicians, excellent facilities, free shuttle services and many other extras offered at very competitive prices - what's not to like! More
my visit today was for 2013 sticker. although many cars were there and the waiting room was full, my car was ready in less than 30 minutes. while I was waiting, I was looking at the new cars. sales peop were there and the waiting room was full, my car was ready in less than 30 minutes. while I was waiting, I was looking at the new cars. sales people asked if they could be helpful but once I said I was waiting for my car in service, they said if I had any questions, they were happy to help but did not "hover". I appreciate their friendliness, knowledge, and willingness to just talk if that is what one wants. I appreciate Commonwealth Honda. More
I came to Commonwealth Honda to find some parts for my 2011 Accord EX-L (which I had purchased from this dealer). Sean Aylward took my information, and he was quickly able to bring up the parts list for 2011 Accord EX-L (which I had purchased from this dealer). Sean Aylward took my information, and he was quickly able to bring up the parts list for my vehicle. I needed a driver's side headlight assembly and wiper blade, along with a bumber fastening clip. Commonwealth had all of these in stock, and Sean quickly retrieved my parts to get me on my way. Even though I was sure about the parts that I needed, Sean took the time to verify all of my items to make sure that I left with the right stuff. The entire visit took less than ten minutes. Although you can find less expensive OEM parts on-line, Commonwealth Honda demonstrates very quick and thorough service. Thanks to all! More
My overall experience was good when I purchased by new car. The sales person was new and he was very attentive and knowledgable of different models of cars. He was professional and ensured we were happy car. The sales person was new and he was very attentive and knowledgable of different models of cars. He was professional and ensured we were happy with our experience from start to finish. We appreciate his time and efforts on our behalf. In the sale experience we worked with two sale persons. First, was to negotiate overall price and second, was to negotiate our trade-in value. As many know, negotiations at times can be difficult but after a few discussions, we were able to agree on price. The sales persons were amicable in the process but seemed frustrated with our requests. We understand the purchase of a car can be time consuming. It was 5+ hours to test drive 2 car models, finalize price and ultimately sign papers, this was longer than we expected. We would have hoped for more of a streamline process. When we finally met with John, he was extremely personable and willing to answer any questions. He made the end of the purchase easier, since he was able to put everything together quickly for us. He set proper expecation for when we picked up the car. On the day we picked up the car, our sales person was there to open the door and greet us. We waited awhile for a sales manager to find our papers. They were not readily available. We were not brought into an office to finalize payment. We sat in the two chairs in the lobby and signed over the title. It would have been more professional to have us go into a office to conduct business rather than the lobby. With all that was said above, we were happy with the sales and service departments since we left with a nice car. We will continue to work with Commonwealth to service our car. Thank you!! More
I've been a faithful Commonwealth Honda customer for many years, and Honda CR-V I have today (purchased from them back in 2004) is the 5th Honda I own. There is a lot to like about them - their service depar years, and Honda CR-V I have today (purchased from them back in 2004) is the 5th Honda I own. There is a lot to like about them - their service department is excellent! For the last 10 years I've been working with pretty much all of the service advisers they have, and when I come there I feel like I am visiting friends. I am saying all this because my very negative review is likely to be as much of a surprise to many as it is to myself, and it's only motivated by my recent very negative experience dealing with their sales manager Andre Willis. When one of my Honda cars was totaled as a result of a recent accident my immediate [and what seemed to be a logical] reaction was to go to Commonwealth Honda - I figured it would be a waste of time to go to any other dealer. I did search the web to see what is offered and found one used car (Honda CR-V) offered by Silko Honda for $7,900, which was a good match to what I was looking for - year, price, mileage, etc. I printed the ad and came directly to Commonwealth Honda to see if they can find something similar for me. I showed the printed advertisement for CR-V to Andre and asked him if he has a similar car available. He asked sales rep. Ainsley Brown (who was very professional and very helpful, but this review is not about him) to show the cars they have and soon after Ainsley and I walked around the lot we found almost an exact match, a Honda CR-V with about 10% more miles on it than the one advertised by Silko. This was followed by a traditional sales cycle (test drive, walk around the dealership, etc.) and then came the negotiation time. To my utmost surprise, I was offered to buy the car for $11,900 (which was way above the price listed in the ad I had) and then Mr. Willis came back into the process. Arrogantly placing his behind on Ainsley Brown's table in front of me he agreed to drop the price to $9,500, and when I pointed out that the car in question has more miles than the one advertised by Silko Honda, and that Silko's asking price is still $1600 less - Andre told me to "go and buy it from them". In a pitiful attempt to justify an inflated price Andre also told me that the car went through a "thorough 120-point inspection" that costs "big money" - something that apparently anyone else can get done at their service facility for 85 bucks! After wasting more than an hour of my time with Mr. Willis at Commonwealth Honda I left the dealership in total disgust and disbelief that something like that could happen to a long-time loyal customer at a place that has "Shop Us Last" as their marketing brand. I did call Silko Honda the very next day, only to learn that someone else left a deposit for the particular car I wanted exactly at the same time I was with Mr. Willis - so it turned out to not just be a wasted time but also a lost opportunity. The bottom line: If the dealership that has worked long and hard to build their "Shop Us Last" brand and customer loyalty allows their sales manager to throw it all under the bus - you should take Mr. Andre Willis advice very seriously and go shopping for your next car elsewhere. I did exactly that, and it literally opened my eyes on all things car related. I am a happy camper now - I ended up getting a better car for much less! P.S. I would like to say big "thank you" to Ainsley Brown who spent time with me trying to help me find a car I was looking for. Ainsley is a very professional salesman and I am sure this whole experience was as much of a frustration for him as it was for me. P.P.S. - I still have all the paperwork to back up every claim I make, in case if anyone is interested. Prior to posting this review I did try to contact the management of the dealership directly, but with no result. And, since I no longer need a car (at least for the time being) - please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns but please don't try to sell me anything! More
I took my honda accord to this dealer on 01/04/2013 for a check engine light problem. They diagnosed it and replaced O2 sensor in couple hours while I was given the ride back to home and pickup from home. Th check engine light problem.
