My experience with Colonial Mart was a good one! The staff was very friendly and accommodating (with a five yr. old in tow). My husband was satisfied negotiating with Tommy & Colonial Mart. We had many issues with our trade in. Mike was very helpful and understanding with me, and my entire family actually. Tommy went above and beyond in helping us. He answered many questions from me, my husband, and my father! He helped me get in the car I wanted as soon as possible by allowing me to take the car before my loan documents even came in. He followed up and even brought a part that was special ordered to my workplace. Overall, it was an outstanding experience. This was my first car buying experience, but I will always use Colonial/Tommy. I would recommend them to anyone. More
I hadn't planned on buying a truck or anything that was not used. However, I decided to take a walk around Colonial's used cars just to see what was out there. Chris Frank came out and introduced him was not used. However, I decided to take a walk around Colonial's used cars just to see what was out there. Chris Frank came out and introduced himself to me and asked me a few questions about what type of vehicle I was looking for. I knew I wasn't planning on a truck but I saw the Silverado and was interested. Chris gave me a great explanation of all the features of the truck and what it meant to be certified pre-owned. Once I knew I wanted the truck, Chris was very helpful in making the car buying process more enjoyable. The rest of the team at Colonial was very nice and supportive (I had a couple special requests on some extras that I wanted added to the truck that day) and they got the job done, very satisfied. I have purchased about 90% of my vehicles from one of the dealerships owned by colonial... this is my 2nd car purchase from Cynthia. She used to be my finance manager when I purchased. Shes known me 13 years and Ive never had a bad experience with any vehicle purchased from her or colonial. Ive referred everyone I know to her. I currently live in Pittsburgh & I would drive to her in a heartneat for any car purchase. Shes very accomodating, understanding, informative & I love knowing that my purchase & experience come first in her eyes. Shes very honest about the vehicle, the vehicle I originally wanted did not have a good carfax and she was upfront about it & not feeling comfortable selling me a vehicle she felt wasnt reliable me & my first born daughter. From the first time I spoke with Cynthia, I was almost certain that she was going to sell me a car. She personally drove the car fifty miles so that I could see it and drive it. I loved it, we worked out a deal, then she had it delivered to me the next day. It was all so simple. I have made an appointment for my Mitsubishi lancer evolution to be serviced for transmission problems at the end of 2012, the dealership had my car 1 month without servicing it. Each time I called I g evolution to be serviced for transmission problems at the end of 2012, the dealership had my car 1 month without servicing it. Each time I called I got the typical run around of why its not fixed, so 1 month of my car sitting in their lot while I pay for it and insurance on a car I can't drive. Needless to say this was very poor on their part. I picked my car up untouched after 1 month. Took the car back months later for another appointment. I was reluctant to do so but only other Mitsubishi shop was about another 45 mins away. This time it's going on 2 months without service again...this is 3 months now!!!!! $437 a month for a car I can't drive and plus $200 In insurance just for a car to sit in their car lot. But this ordeal gets worse, after being told lies a number of times about my car being in the shop I drive over 20 miles to their dealership to find my car outside while being told on the phone 3 days in a row that the car was tore apart. I call and complain and they offer no help whatsoever to help out with their horrible service. I was told by their service manager he was returning a call 2 weeks ago with an update he failed to call back, the owner was to call me the following day and failed to. It has taken me to file a complaint to the better business bureau and to file one with Mitsubishi to even try to get my car fixed. In all I would never recommend this dealer to service any vehicle on account of taking almost 3 months to even look into a car there is no way possible that they are that busy. I personally will not buy any car from this dealer just because if it needs service I would refuse to take it there ever again. This review is in no way to bash the company but to just get my situation out there very unpleasant to be without a car your paying for for 3 months. Hopefully this gets posted for others to read, the review explains my reasons for the 1 star ratings for the length to even move my car out of the same parking spot for months, for the lying I have heard, and the troubles to file complaints with other companies for this one not doing their job......update, after 3 months and almost $2,000 paid while the car was in their lot the owner calls claiming my voice mail was full so he couldn't contact me? I had 2 voicemails saved so I don't think that was the case, anyhow he offered 1 car payment which is nothing compared to 3 plus 3 insurance payments. When we talked on the phone about that he screamed and yelled because I didn't like his 1 payment offer. He claimed he wanted to help, if that was the case fix my car or pay me for the 3 months. But after this conversation on the phone I decide to go get my car back and take to another dealer. They are getting my car in their shop in 2 days and will only take about 1 day for Mitsubishi to decide who's paying...not taking weeks or months like colonial has told me numerous times. Ending conclusion is this was a horrible customer service from most of the service staff, they all willingly made up lies to a customer and treated me like garbage, glad I got my car back and have taken it to a different dealer where I'll get the car back in a week or 2 not months.
