Anthony was very interested in what extras we would like on a vehicle. Was not really looking to buy at this time. But made an effort to show us something we might be interested in and went out of his way on a vehicle. Was not really looking to buy at this time. Had to leave and Harold took over and worked with us. We were not ready to buy, but they went out of their way to find a plan that would make it available for us to purchase. After buying the car, Anthony had returned. Harold made sure the car was cleaned and ready to go home and Anthony went out of his way to show us all the features and how to use them. Made every thing easy to understand and even fixed them to our liking. We are very please with every aspect of our visit there. More
My Fiance and I genuinly thought that Anthony Gioia was a great sales executive to work with! The truck is a fantastic vehicle so far, and Anthony was extremely helpful. He made us feel that I was not being pressured into buying anything I really didn't want to. He knew I really wanted the '07 Frontier and he worked diligently to get the price within range of where I could purchase it. I hate when car salesmen try to sell something you really dont care to even hear about but they wont give it up. Anythony listened to my needs as a customer and made that happen, which is why I would recommend Anythony to anyone that is in the market to purchase a vehicle. Matt was professional at all times taking great care to make me feel comfortable with all aspects of the process; he was knowledgeable about the product and made sure all my questions were satisfactorily answered. As a salesperson myself I can comfortably say that Matt knows how to put the dealerships best interest forward, provide the right level of expertise and easily gain the business of the customer. I'd want him on my team! From the dealership general manager to the folks in Parts/Service Department this was an enjoyable and positive experience. I'd also like to commend Gus, in the financial department. Our overall experience with Mr. Tad Frederick was excellent. We got to the dealership one hour before close and were pretty sure that the used car we wanted to look at was out of our price range; ho excellent. We got to the dealership one hour before close and were pretty sure that the used car we wanted to look at was out of our price range; however, we wanted to see the car and take if for a test drive just to see if it was something we would like. I did have the numbers I could afford just in case we could make a deal, but I had every intention of walking if the numbers were too high. To make things more interesting, we had my 6 month old son with us so at any moment he could end the visit for us, though he is normally well behaved when we venture out. When we got to the dealership, Tad greeted us and knowing we only had an hour, I got right down to business, pointing out the car we wanted to see. Tad went and got the keys along with the keys for another vehicle I mentioned but was on the fence about. We saw the car we wanted to see and the other one. Tad was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cars. He did ask over another salesman to assist, Mr. Anthony Gioia, being that Tad had admittedly not been with the dealership long and was still learning all the finer points of these particular vehicles. The discussion with Tad was very low pressure. It felt like I was over at a neighbor’s house looking at a car they were thinking about selling. Once it got down to offer time, Tad walked us back into the office, took down some information and then we waited a bit for the back office to run a few numbers for us. While we were waiting, the other salesmen were coming over and playing with our baby son who was having a good time, lucky for us. At this point, I expected to see a number I couldn’t afford and was ready to leave for the evening; however, the number Tad presented to me was close enough to my numbers that I couldn’t just walk away. We really liked the car we looked at and they offerored a more than fair trade in price for our car. I told Tad I wanted to step outside and talk it over with my wife. He said, “Go ahead, I’ll be right here, take all the time you need.” My wife and I decided that it was still outside what we could currently afford so I went back in to tell Tad. Once I explained the situation Tad and another gentleman named Paul asked what I could afford. I showed them the numbers I had pulled from certain websites and told them that was it. Tad and Paul looked at what I had and said, “We can work with this.” My wife stepped outside to walk our baby son around the parking lot. He was behaving like an angel which is telling of the environment were dealing in. While they were working up the last numbers, Tab and Paul gave me a bottle of water and even offered to walk my son around so my wife could come in and hear the final numbers. Ultimately, we came to the deal that I had thought was unlikely before we got there. However, I did have to come back the next day to finalize it because it had gotten so late. The next day, everyone that was involved with the deal said hello and then Tad showed me to the finance manager, Gus. Gus had actually worked up a slightly better deal than what I had agreed to the night before, and offerored some warranty options. Because of the type of car I was buying, I decided that I should get a warranty. Even the bargaining for the warranty was low pressure and Gus was able to work out yet another deal I could afford. My wife was going to be the main person driving the car I purchased so I wanted to make sure she had a chance to go over all the bells and whistles with the salesman. Tad told us to stop by any time and he and Anthony would go over everything. About a week later my wife and I called Tad and set up a time to stop by the dealership. During that week we had noticed a noise coming from the steering column. Tad said he would introduce us to the dealership maintenance manager and have him take a look at. When we got there, Tad took us to the maintenance shop and introduced us to Bill who had someone identify the problem and gave us a loaner until they got it fixed. Tad and Bill helped us transfer all the baby stuff from our vehicle to the loaner. I have had a lot of car buying experiences in my life and I would have to say that this was the best personal and professional experience I have ever had buying a car AND ended up getting the deal I walked in the door hoping to get. I would recommend Cogggin Buick GMC of Orange Park to anyone, friend or family, based on experience with Tad and all the other the folks at the dealership backing him up. More
We actually found your dealership by accident. He gave us directions and then told us about Coggin Buick where he works and called to have someone meet us there. We are very pleased with our experience and purchase with your dealership. It was worth traveling from Savannah to do business with you. Our Salesperson James (JJ) Johnson was very friendly, easy to talk to, seemed like we had known him awhile instead of just meeting him. He answered all of our questions and concerns. He was knowledgable about our purchase as he showed and explained the buicks features with us. When we entered the dealership, we had certain expectations which were met above and beyond, JJ even found us an unexpected Memorial Day discount. Thanks Vaughn L. & Shirley S. Be careful and do your research on this dealership. The Coggin Group has a history of using a deceptive tactic called "spot financing" to sell cars. This is where you agree on a price and financing, sign the contract, and drive the car home. The deception is that bank financing has not been finalized, so you get a call from the dealer a week or so later saying that the financing was not approved by the bank and you need to come back in to renegotiate. This puts you in a precarious situation because you have the new car but now have to agree to a higher interest rate or a larger down payment in order to keep it. The only other option is to return the car and possibly pay for "renting" it which is not a very fun process. We were completely caught off guard by this scheme and it appears that is illegal in most states but is a fairly common practice in Florida unfortunately. More
