Excellent service - repaired vehicle nicely - only disappointment is when you have an appointment and 45 minutes later your truck is still in the driveway with no other customers coming in?? - a lit disappointment is when you have an appointment and 45 minutes later your truck is still in the driveway with no other customers coming in?? - a little disheartening - but 2 hours later I got to go home. My quicklane service advisor, Jorge, was incredible and was able to squeeze me in for a works oil change last minute. They were quick, efficient, and very fun to talk to. I get good service at Coconut ford. Brian Kline, my advisor, is excellent and I have trust in him to give me quality service. But, whoever worked on my car on Tuesday, August 31, turned off the headlam advisor, is excellent and I have trust in him to give me quality service. I drove for a short distance Wednesday evening in the dark without them before I realized the headlamps wee not on. An incident avoided. More
I am very disappointed with Coconut Point Ford - Estero. We purchased a used vehicle in March and have found that it was not a good buy. When we test drove the vehicle we were told we could not leave the lot which should have alerted us there was a problem. We did purchase a key replacement program and an extended warranty at the time of purchase. Thank goodness. Within the first three days it would not start. We had to purchase a battery. We understand this happening so this was not a real problem. To our amazement we were only given one key at the time we bought the car which again was odd. Nothing was mentioned about this until we were ready to leave with the vehicle. After a few times of unlocking the vehicle we found the key would not work. We called the company that we had bought the key replacement from and found it was not free as explained to us. We paid $140 for the replacement key after paying $300 for the program. Not a good savings. As we drove the vehicle we noticed that the transmission seemed to slip when shifting. We were told we would have to take the vehicle to a shop that sells this type of vehicle since it was not a Ford. Imagine our surprise when we were told the transmission fluid was low 2 quarts. We have only driven the vehicle 1,128 miles since purchase and we saw no signs of leakage. But that is only the beginning, the vehicle has a rebuilt transmission. This was not disclosed and we feel Coconut Point Ford knew it was slipping since we were not allowed to drive off the lot. We also had a problem with the door actuator which had to be replaced. The dealership working on the vehicle told us it had been wrecked and the door had been damaged. Again, quite a surprise to us. After waiting for the extended warranty company to make a decision about whether either problem was covered, nearly a week, they agreed to cover most of it. We had to pay $638 for the repairs. The warranty agreement was not cheap either. Our problem with this whole experience is that we were charged $599.50 for a pre-delivery service fee which we assume is an inspection before selling the vehicle. Wouldn't you assume they would have discovered the low transmission fluid if it was inspected? We called numerous times wanting to discuss this with the salesman Ulysses Campbell. He finally spoke with my husband but said we would have to talk with the used car manager. Both my husband and I have called to speak with him, left messages and no return call. The last message was a week ago. I assume he is busy taking care of other complaints or he would call back. Anyway, go somewhere else to purchase a vehicle. They are apparently finished with you after you drive off the lot. More
