Merrick was terrific. I recommend him to anyone. The dealership reputation is the main reason I chose Kennesaw Toyota. I called ahead, and set an appointment with the used car salesperson, Deon Glass. When I came the car was waiting for me to jump in and we took a ride. I liked the car, but noticed that it hadn't been cleaned out totally. Like a typical dealership, we went back and forth. I know they assumed that since I was a girl alone by myself they could get over on me, but they were sadly mistaken. I negotiated a tough deal for the sale of the used vehicle and my trade in. Everything was fine until I saw the Finance Manager, Greg Fetzer. He was extremely pushy, trying to sell me the extended warranty. He kept talking down to me, stating that as someone who works in Finance I should know that it's good business to have warranty protection. Over and over again I told him no to the warranty, and finally he stopped (after saying a few degrading remarks, and I got the car without the warranty. He was dishonest during the conversation and said that my car, that was a 2009, only had a 3 month warranty and that's why I should get the extended warranty. I found out later that I still have the 3 year, 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. I was upset at the way things went and just wanted to get out of there. When I was in the finance office, my car was supposed to be cleaned out. When I got out there I noticed that all they did is wash the outside. The inside had marks and smudges on the seats and dash board that could have easily been wiped up with a clean wipe. I was so over it at that point. Later I noticed that I left something in the car I traded in, and called Deon the next day to see if he could grab it and hold it for me until I could come back. He said he would. I came in later and they told me that Deon never found anything and accused me that I was lying about something being in my car. I talked with the manager, Rob Smith, was a xxxxxx, and wasn't willing to help at all. He started trying to talk down to me as if I did something terribly wrong. I was so offended, and just decided that what I left in the car wasn't work talking with these idiots. I do not recommend this dealership. They are dishonest, money-hungry, old school salespeople who only want something to do with you while you're making them money. After that, they could care less what issues you have with them. More

I recently called several Atlanta area Toyota dealers getting a price on a 2010 Rav4. We totaled our Toyota sienna and since my wife was borrowing her dad's car we told Todd Knight the sales guy we had getting a price on a 2010 Rav4. We totaled our Toyota sienna and since my wife was borrowing her dad's car we told Todd Knight the sales guy we had to buy a car by Sat (Feb 27,2010). Cobb county Toyota was one of the first dealers I called because we live about 30 miles north of Chattanooga. I called approximately 8 or so dealers (there are 19 Atlanta area dealers) and got a range of prices on the same exact car, same MSRP,options and even same color, etc. After my last call the best price was Toyota South (one exit past the airport). Before going with Toyota south I wanted to give Cobb county a last chance to beat Toyota souths price. I called and asked for Todd Knight (the sales guy who had given me the first price) and he was off. I ended up talking to Rob Smith (the new car sales mgr.) and told him I would like to do buisness with them since they were alot closer to me. I told him the price and he said he would match it. I told him he could at least beat it a little and so he beat their price by $75 dollars. He sent me an email of the price, car options on it and it was the Rav4 as described and I told him we had a deal. He said he would see us Sat morning.(very nice to deal with at this point of the deal). About 6 pm that friday night Todd called me up told me they would have the car cleaned up for me put it inside and he would see me Sat morning. Fifteen minutes later I get a call from Rob Smith and he tells me the price did not include their documenation fee of $396.50. I had his price itemized out including their starting MSRP,car price with options, packages, documentation fee, leamon law fee, etc. When I told him the price he had given me included the doc fee he told me I was a liar. He told me that 2 or 3 dealers had been calling and saying I had been calling them too.(that was a lie because Todd Knight later called me and said dealers don't do that) He yelled at me and was the most unprofessional car sales person I have ever dealt with in my 52 years. I told him because of his attitude and the way he talked to me that I would not buy it no matter what the price. My opinion is when he found out that Toyota south didn't have the car I wanted on their lot and Cobb County did, he thought he had me painted in a corner since I needed the car that next day. Later Todd Knight and I told him I was going to buy at Toyota south. All he wanted to do was cut Toyota South down and that he looked at their inventory and they didn't even have it on their lot. He told me that I would get down there and it wouldn't have the options on it we asked for and they would change the price, etc. He said they were one of the smallest Toyota dealers in Atlanta and they couldn't do the deal. We called Toyota south Sat morning and by around noon they had secured the car. We gave them a deposit over the phone drove down and got the exact Rav4 Toyota south described at the price they said it would be. The sales person Roderick Cambell and the new car sales mgr Eric Anderson were very nice. There were no lies from Toyota South. I would buy from them again. This is the third car we have bought in Atlanta in the last year and including all the cars I have ever bought the experience with Cobb County Toyota was absolutely the worse car experience I have EVER HAD. My husband and I came in with a specific car in mind that we had found on the internet site and Grant was helpful in finding the vehicle and answering all the questions we had about it. He was never pushy a we had found on the internet site and Grant was helpful in finding the vehicle and answering all the questions we had about it. He was never pushy and that was great too. When we got to the 'fun' part of crunching numbers, he did not waste our time and was willing to work with us on a price. As far as car buying experiences go, this was very enjoyable and fairly simple. More

We were not impressed at all by this dealership anymore. Totally different experience than when we bought a car from there just 3 years ago from an awesome saleman that was no longer there. The sales peopl Totally different experience than when we bought a car from there just 3 years ago from an awesome saleman that was no longer there. The sales people we met on our recent visit did not seem knowledable and not only could not answer fairly simple standard questions, but did not even seem to care, or say "Good question - I will find out for you." We were surprised that in this economy, most everyone we spoke to there seemed to have an attitude and could really care less if we bought a car or not. The salesmen who were not immediately rude were just apathetic and did not have any energy or care. We went there 2 weekends in a row and spoke with different people who each gave us different information and both were wrong as we found out later at Marietta Toyota where we bought our car an hour after we left Cobb County Toyota!). Do not believe a word out of their mouths...double-check everything they say with a different dealership. They were so extremely rude and condescending to us when we were basically a quick sale for them, and they should have been thankful! When we wanted a different color of car than they had in inventory at the time, they went ballistic and multiple people were rude to us and basically yelling at us and treating us like we were idiots. They actually had the color we wanted on the lot (which is how we saw it), but they said they could not add the features we wanted to the ones we saw out there, as they were lower models. They told us the color we wanted was not a good color, so it could be months before they get one in again...basically further insulting us. Even the manager became very rude to us, when he was actually very friendly to begin with. Then they proceeded to badmouth other Toyota dealerships, calling Sany Springs Toyota "Slippery Springs," etc. I have never seen such childish unprofessional behavior from MULTIPLE people! We were such an easy sale, too, which is what is so crazy. We spent a haklf hour there teh first weekend just to check things out and then another half hour and we were ready to buy. Instead of listening to what we wanted and pleasantly trying to assist us in getting that, they just got belligerent when we would not buy something that they had directly on the lot. So, we called Marietta Toyota while we were there, and they had 2 of the cars with the color we wanted, so we decided to check it out. The people at Cobb County remained mad and did not even say goodbye to us or tell us to feel free to shop around and come back. I knew right then and there that I could not give any business to these people again on principle alone. Maybe this economy will help those businesses with good customer service thrive and put these other ones in their place someday. When we arived at Marietta Toyota, we had a completely diffeent experience from the start. Great customer service, fair price, pleasant attitudes, very professional...can't say one bad thing about the place! We also found out that Cobb County Toyota had lied to us and said that we could not get factory Nav and leather added to an LE model car and that we would have to buy an XLE for that and pay a lot more. We were willing to do after market, but they further lied and said that the car we pointed out on their lot could not have that added because it was a lower model. Marietta Toyota said they could add those things to the same car that Cobb Co. said they could not...AND, to top it off, they said it would be factory installed at a Toyota facility in Gwinnett County, rather than after market. They also said they are partnered with 150 other dealerships and could get us teh car we wanted with everything already if we would like them to search. We opted to just take the one on the lot and have the items be factory installed. So the impossible was indeed very possible, as we are living proof! Hope Marietta Toyota thrives for their great customer service! More
oh my god this dealer is a complete joke. the general sales manager, george rollins, is a rude jerk. he was rude to my fiancee by talking down to her. they try to make everything so personal so i won't sales manager, george rollins, is a rude jerk. he was rude to my fiancee by talking down to her. they try to make everything so personal so i won't hurt their feelings. my objective when buying a car is getting the lowest price possible. they couldn't beat, meet, or even go $1 under MRSP. i said we're done b/c i have a better offer and thanked him for his time. the salesman thru a fit and walked out of his office before we did. nice manners. george rollins comes running out while we were driving away and asked what went wrong, we told him and he said we're making it harder on ourselves. sure we are....we got the same model, year, trim, with a sunroof and smart key at the non-negotiable price you offered. this dealer is so bad, i'm not even offended by their unprofessionalism. we were laughing at them all the way home. now we're laughing at them in our new car! go to marietta toyota or lithia springs. I was thinking about trading in my 93 Mazda MPV to take advantage of the Cash For Clunkers program with another SUV, and I fell in love with the Highlander. I contacted Cobb County Toyota and a few other advantage of the Cash For Clunkers program with another SUV, and I fell in love with the Highlander. I contacted Cobb County Toyota and a few other dealerships to see what they have in stock, and Cobb County Toyota's Internet Sale Manager, Maurik, emailed me back with the options & price I wanted. I was happy with the price, and I called him back to arrange a test drive which I couldn't get in touch with him that whole day. 2 days later, I called Maurik and was told he was in a meeting, and he'd call me back, and he never did. I got really frustrated, so another 2 days later, I've decided to drive down the dealership to meet this guy, and was told that he went on vacation so I was assigned to another salesman, Grant Guzowski. He looked up the vehicle that Maurik and I were talking about, and he informed me that the car was sold a few days back. I finally understand why Maurik never called me back... I asked Grant if I could test drive a Highlander w/ the options I wanted, and he left for a few mins and came back with the keys. We drove around a few blocks and were just talking and he seemed very friendly, professional and knowledgeable on the vehicles. After the test drive, I went to his office and filled out few paperwork and told him the colors/options I wanted on the 09 Highlander. I know the color combination I want on the vehicle is rare (I searched the whole Southeast region with no luck), and he came back and offered me a few vehicles w/ the options I want except the color. At that point, I was ready to buy the car, and the color he offered wasn't that bad (from Classic Silver Metallic to Dark Gray metallic). Since the car has the same options, Grant offered me the same price that Maurik offered me on the Internet. I agreed to buy the car, and since the car was at the port, I asked if I could add some options to the vehicle. Grant spent the time and took me to the Parts dept, and talked to the Asst. Parts Manager, Charles Roddy. Charles looked up the parts I wanted and gave me a few quotes, and he seemed very knowledgeable as well. A few days later, my car was delivered to the dealership, and I got a phone call from Grant and George (the Sales Manager). I went by there that afternoon, and tried to pick up the vehicle, but I was missing some paperwork that's required for the Cash4Clunkers program, so Grant couldn't hand over my new car keys. But while I was there, Grant was doing alot of legwork to ensure that's the only paperwork I need to get the $4,500 for the trade-in. I was very pleased with his enthusiasm and he was definitely helpful. I went ahead and paid for the car, but went home alittle disappointed w/o my new car. After I got home, I called him (after business hours) and told him I would be back the next morning to pick up the car w/ the required paperwork. He informed me that he has a doc's appointment, but he told me to look for Kent (another salesman?) in the morning to give the paperwork to him, and he told me he has filled up the 20 gallon gas tank on my new Highlander (even though the sticker says 6 gallons). I was again pleased with him. The next day I went by there, and talked to the Sales Manager, George, and he was being very polite. He remembered my name from the phone conversation we had and I was impressed. He thanked me and helped me locate Kent very quickly and off I go with my new car. A few hours later, Grant called me on my cell phone and wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. And he offered me to go back when the weather gets good (been raining ever since I bought the car), and they will get the car washed for me. In addition, he said if I have any questions w/ all the 3rd row seats work, please go by the dealership and he would give me a rundown on how everything works. Overall, I think this is one of the best car buying experiences I've encountered. Grant Guzowski has been very professional, and he was not pushy like some of the other sales people at the other dealership. I will definitely go back to do my services with Cobb County Toyota. P.S. I gave a 4 for Customer Service because Maurik wouldn't contact me back to tell me the vehicle I wanted has been sold. More
