I gave a poor rating due to the extremely poor service we received after the sale. We were promised that problems with the used car would get fixed but Chris Grey failed to follow through. His manager did ap received after the sale. We were promised that problems with the used car would get fixed but Chris Grey failed to follow through. His manager did apologize and is currenlty working to resolve the problems. After signing the sales papers, we were sent home with only 1 set of keys and NO floor mats. Two weeks later, we stil have NO floor mats, only 1 set of keys and the broken arm rest is still broken. We were assured by Chris that he would make us a service appointment to fix the arm rest and the scratches on the fender. When I arrived at my "appointment" I found out that no appointment was ever set up. I wasted my morning trying to figure this mess out with a very apologetic manager. Now I have to take more time out of my busy schedule to go back to the dealership AGAIN to drop it off for the needed repairs. Thank you Chris for your very poor customer service. More
This is the first time I have bought anything this important on my own without my husband. Jason L. made me feel comfortable and when I came in the second day after researching the car, he gave me a b important on my own without my husband. Jason L. made me feel comfortable and when I came in the second day after researching the car, he gave me a better price. I was so afraid of being taken advantage of but ended up being very gratified by the results of the sale. Then J.D. (Jason D.) was very friendly and energetic. He made what could have been excrutiatingly dull pleasant (financing). The other employees that I spoke with in passing were all very amiable. I would recommend this dealer to others. More
I was immediately impressed with Jason's knowledge of the various car models. I asked a lot of questions and he never seemed impatient. He was professional in attitude, treated me with respect and courtesy. His demeanor was low key, I never felt intimidated, hurried or pressured. I learned a lot very quickly. I would definitely feel comfortable purchasing my next vehicle here. Larry was quick to introduce himself, very friendly and attentive without being pushy. He gave me a quick tour of the dealership and filled me in on other benefits for purchasers, like free car washes, which I appreciated. I enjoyed my car shopping experience. More
Felt misled in certain aspects of the sale. Charged $1898.00 for a 100,000 mile warranty that I was led to believe came with the car. I was told the car had a 5 year-60,000 mile Bumper to Bumper warran $1898.00 for a 100,000 mile warranty that I was led to believe came with the car. I was told the car had a 5 year-60,000 mile Bumper to Bumper warranty and a 10 year-100,000 mile Engine and Drive Train Warranty, during the sales process. I also told the finance person that I did not want to pay for any extended warranties over and above the warranties that came with the car.I thought the car came with plenty, based on what I was told. The added charge was not pointed out to us when signing the contract and I did not see it until after I received my paperwork in the mail. Nor was it listed on my price negotion papers when we arrived at a "Bottom Line" price for the car with my trade at the sales desk. Too late! My fault! Should have been more thorough when reading the contract. I even asked my wife if I wasn't paying attention and she confirmed that nothing was said about the added cost. Car wasn't ready upon delivery according to what the dealer added options sticker said. Missing items. It did not even have any equipment in the trunk to handle a flat tire! It was not there! I did not discover this until I got the chance to check out the car, completely, that evening. I was told it was an oversight because that car came from another dealer and it slipped through the cracks. Dealer wouldn't work with me on forgetting the add-ons and reimbursing me for the cost of the missing options (Paint Protection,Fabric Protection, and Pinstripes). I told them that I really didn't want that stuff anyway. They said I had to take them because Mr. Suntrup puts that on all of his cars and I paid for them anyway. Another dealer add-on was a "Lifetime Engine and Drive Train warranty" honored by Suntrup. It was explained to me that all I had to do was bring my car in for scheduled oil changes and tire rotations to keep it in effect. I thought this was too good to be true so I even asked the question, " I don't have to follow the scheduled services such as 12,000, 15,000, etc? I was told no. Just oil changes and tire rotations. I thought "WOW", what a deal! When I received my papers in the mail a week later, I read the lifetime warranty contract and it says that I have to bring the car in within 1,000 miles of every scheduled service and have that service done. I knew it! Too good to be true! So, the following week, they made arrangements for a porter to pick up my car at work and take it in for the installation of the options (excluding the pinstripes - I did not want them). He brought the car back within 5 hours with dirty-smeared glass, polish residue on various panels and a gas tank that was not replenished from the trip to and from the dealer. I had a Dr. appt. that following day and I needed the gas. I had to fill my tank again and I had to re-detail the car myself to remove the smears and the residue. All of the "Dealer Add-Ons" totalled up to $2499.00. I feel like all I got for $2499.00 was "The Shaft!" Expensive Shaft! In retrospect, I think that I can attribute some of this to the fact that we showed up at the dealer to buy a car 20 minutes before closing on a Friday night. I think that, in itself, contributed to a "Rush" sales transaction in which I overlooked a lot of key items that should have been pointed out to me.I will never buy another car under those circumstances again. I will take my time and read every letter of fine print if I have to in an effort to keep from being misled! A very expensive lesson in car buying! More

Next to going to the dentist, buying a car is typically the last thing on earth that I would want to do. However, my wife needed a car and had been told that she should look at a Hyundai. Suntrup West was the last thing on earth that I would want to do. However, my wife needed a car and had been told that she should look at a Hyundai. Suntrup West was the second Hyundai dealership we had visited. Curtis Maier was the salesman that greeted us. We explained what we were looking for in a car and began the search around the lot. It was apparent that they did not have exactly what we wanted, so Curtis began the search for our vehicle. He found numerous vehicles in the St.Louis and surrounding area, so we went in to see him again. As it turned out, we ended up buying one of the original cars we had looked at, though it was not our original intent. Curtis' knowledge and professionalism and our desire to buy a car, allowed us to reach an agreement and consummate the sale. Jason was extremely helpful in walking us through the paperwork and was thorough in explaining some additional options. All in all, our experience was very enjoyable, unlike any I had ever had buying a car. Thanks to everyone at Suntrup West for creating a great buying experience. More
They did a wonderful job on talking with us on what they can do. Jason even went over alot of extra programming items that we had no idea how they worked. The only down fall was the people in charge of cl can do. Jason even went over alot of extra programming items that we had no idea how they worked. The only down fall was the people in charge of cleaning the car did not have time or just forgot too vacuum the car, but the sales team was awesome. More
Curt worked very hard to help me locate the exact vehicle that I wanted. He was very helpful and informative. I was initially concerned with purchasing a vehicle that was a dealer trade. Salesman Brian was a rather new Hyundai salesman. If he did not know the answer to our questions he found them out. I should have negotiated stronger than I did. Brian was fine and my wife and I enjoyed did not know the answer to our questions he found them out. I should have negotiated stronger than I did. Brian was fine and my wife and I enjoyed buying the Elantra. It's been 42 years since I purchased my last new car. Why they gave us 28 twelve packs of soda is still a mystery. More
