- First, I was told I could do an after hour drop off for them to do work on my F150 Monday morning. Went to drop my truck off at 6pm Sunday night & the parking lot was blocked off by locked gates. - Paid t them to do work on my F150 Monday morning. Went to drop my truck off at 6pm Sunday night & the parking lot was blocked off by locked gates. - Paid to have two ignition coils replaced, the boots swapped, 6 spark plugs replaced, & a tune up in January 2021. Blew another ignition coil & spark plug a few months later. Was charged for another ignition coil, spark plug, & labor. Was deemed a very unlucky/unlikely thing to have happen. Asked about replacing the other 3 ignition coils while they were already making a switch on the 3rd one. Was told it was not a good idea and not necessary so we’ll see how that goes. I’m no expert so this part of the review is to add context more than anything else… - During this conversation I also let the service member know that I’d like a transmission fluid flush. He talks to the mechanic & calls me back & tells me they suggest doing a transmission fluid change & change the filter instead of a flush. I agree & tell him I’d like that done too. - After dropping vehicle off on Monday morning, I was told I would be able to get it back by Monday afternoon. Didn’t receive a call, so I called about 20 minutes before they closed when they told me the truck was ready for pickup.. Except it wasn’t, because they only did the ignition coil & spark plug & forgot all about the transmission fluid change. So the truck stays another night. - Next day I call at 12pm, they forward me to the service members voicemail. Same thing at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm… at 4pm I tell them I need to talk with someone because I need to arrange picking up the truck. I need my vehicle for work purposes. I finally get put through to someone else who tells me it’s ready for pickup. - communication = below average - timetable = below average based on what I was told they could accommodate. Did not expect my truck to be there 2 nights. - I’m satisfied with the work that was done, but will be frustrated if another ignition coil & spark plug ends up being another issue in the near future because I was advised that it’ll be fine even though it wasn’t just fine for ignition coil #4 even after the boot swap & tune up in January. - Friendly checkout ladies More

I was told by Sam last week to bring my truck back this week so I wouldn’t have to wait and leave it for several days. I asked him what the turnaround was and he told me it would be the same day to get my week so I wouldn’t have to wait and leave it for several days. I asked him what the turnaround was and he told me it would be the same day to get my issue resolved while my truck was still under warranty. So when I went back another young man helped me and he told me that Sam was wrong and it would be two or three days and I told him I could not be without my truck that long in my truck would soon be out of warranty. So I left and I’m going to have to live with the issue I’m having with my truck lighting since my next day off it will probably be over 36,000 miles on the truck. I am very dissatisfied with this dealership and drove 20 minutes whenever I live right by Autonation. And I went there because I bought a truck from there before and was very impressed with the way they handle things. I guess management has changed as has their service department. More

My service event at Don Davis Ford wasn't good at all. It stretched from Monday 15 November 2021 afternoon 4:30-5:00 ish, when I dropped off our F250 to Saturday 20 November 2021 afternoon 3:30p when I g It stretched from Monday 15 November 2021 afternoon 4:30-5:00 ish, when I dropped off our F250 to Saturday 20 November 2021 afternoon 3:30p when I got the "final" call to pick it up. Brought in because of message displayed "Check Coolant 'additive'??" (sorry don't remember the exact word). I did look up the message online then and found out that it involved a special FORD coolant additive to the engine cooling system. BASICLY NEEDED TESTING TO CONFIRM IF THERE WAS ENOUGH TO BE VIABLE OR NOT. Additionally, we just had an engine trouble light display. A local auto parts store told me what the code was and what the problem might be connected to. (Appearantly there was some kind of issue/s with the DEF tank/system.) Lastly, we needed an oil change and tire rotation as it was time for the regular maintenance too. Recap; 1. Coolant issue, needed testing. 2 DEF tank related trouble light. 3 Maintenance (oil and rotation) STRANGE: Service advisor sent me a computer generated cell phone text about a $1,700 + repair for the DEF TANK and Heater replacement. Started calling, trying to reach him after I saw the message. BTW, had no idea this "text" would even be coming. When we spoke in person, said he would call me. So he finally called me back after my 3 attempts to call him. Said extended warranty covered the $1,700 Def tank & heater service. Next, was told coolant was aweful and needed flushed asap $129.00 (per service advisor) Wasn't able to get any information about the actual test results. Gave go ahead since I wasn't certain how old it was. Lastly, I suppose during tire rotation, found that front brake pads and "rotors" needed immediate REPLACEMENT. (over $600 repair). My wife, of 42yrs and I really appreciate and expect thorough inspection of "wear parts" when serviced. I.e. brakes, tires, fluids, filters, etc... What's WAY UNCALLED FOR IS BEING LIED TO ABOUT THE TRUE SERVICE NEEDS!!! OUR FRONT ROTORS DIDN'T NEED REPLACEMENT AT THIS TIME. ONLY BRAKE PADS were worn out. Can't stand thieves and liars. My TRUST LEVEL for the Don Davis Ford Service Department has evaporated. SHAME ON THIS OUTFIT FOR TRYING TO PAD MY SERVICE TICKET!!!!!!!! More
