After having visited several dealers and researching performance data and reviews for various truck brands over a span of a couple of weeks, I settled on Ford, and specifically, a 2012 F-150. Some Internet research revealed several dealer reviews, and of those I settled on a couple with outstanding dealer ratings, and visited their websites. I found a truck at Don Davis Ford that had everything I was seeking, and began talking to Internet Sales Manager Andrew Rutherford about the prospect of buying. Andrew was a personable guy who didn't pressure me in the least or bug me incessantly to come in. He answered the many questions that I had, and knew where I was on price on the vehicle I was seeking. He was respectful of the fact that I had over an hour's drive to the dealership and ensured that we were on the same page regarding product, price, expectations, etc. When it appeared that there existed a potential opportunity, we arranged a time to look at and drive the truck I wanted. By the time I went there, the expectations were somewhat pre-set and the experience was smooth and pleasant. I felt I got a good price, and it was actually a very pleasurable buying experience dealing with Andrew, as well as his constituents. I didn't get the vibe that I've had in other dealerships, and felt I was buying from friends, or at minimum, people who were not trying to take advantage of me. I was quite prepared to deal with it, and it was very refreshing that I didn't have to. While I do think it helps to do proper research and be prepared where any investment the size of a car note is concerned, my overall impression hands-down is that the Don Davis Ford dealership is quite a legitimate, personable, and fair operation, and believes in solidifying relationships and transactions that are mutually beneficial. I was quite pleased, and would not hesitate do business with them again. More

I had a horrible experience at Bankston Ford. I called Don Davis and was told to come in for an appt. The car I inquired about was sold in the hour and a half it took me to get there. I bought a Focus from Grapevine Ford on April 30th, but totaled it on May 16th, so I was in the market again.
