I recently has a costly engine problem with my car and eventhough it was out of warranty and they had no obligation to help me, they fixed the issue at no cost. There are very few dealers who will show this type of commitment to their cars. More
I can't say enough about Cityside Subaru. The test drive was informative and very good explaining the vehicle when I was driving etc. Mark Lidano did a great job showing me the features and good things about the SUV. I couldnt have been happier when I decided to purchase a 2009 Forester Limited vehicle. When you buy a vehicle it doesnt stop there and the relationship will hopefully continue through my experience with service and how I am treated there. I was brought down and showed the service area and met the Service Manager and other staff that I would be dealing with after the purchase. Ease of convenience getting there is good where it's right off route 60 in Belmont. My financing and warranty questions were answered by Laurie a very professional account executive who showed me my options and extended warranty decisions and voted on going the "full monty" with my maintenance and extended service coverage for seven years which gives my wife peace of mind and confidence that I am covered. I am happy because my wife is happy and thats a good thing overall. Driving in style in my new Subaru !!!!!!! More
I went to CitySide early one Sunday afternoon to check out a 2009 Forester. The first thing that struck me was the great location on Pleasant Street in Belmont - convenient but not on a busy, traffic-clo out a 2009 Forester. The first thing that struck me was the great location on Pleasant Street in Belmont - convenient but not on a busy, traffic-clogged highway like Route 1. Their new headquarters is more spacious than the old Arlington site, which I'd visited when my girlfriend owned a Legacy wagon some years ago. The moment I walked in, a friendly young salesman, Don Ratcliffe, greeted me, and I could tell at once that he was knowledgable, easy-going, and not interested in the hard sell. My sense was that his main concern was hooking me up with the car that best met my needs. I told him I'd come for a test drive, and we were out on the road within 5 minutes, tooling down Pleasant St and out onto the highway in exactly the Forester model that I wanted to try, the 2.5X Limited. He knew the answer to every question I had, except for one, and he didn't hesitate to admit it nor try to pretend. When it came time to hammer out the details, Don and his manager were extremely fair, and I feel like I got an amazing amount of car for the money. I had an engagement that afternoon and thus had to return the next day to complete the paperwork, but nobody hassled or pressured me. The next day, the business manager, Laurie Gorlick, couldn't have been nicer or more constructive in helping me get the terms I needed to make the deal work. CitySide turned the prep around very quickly, and Don was only too happy to come over to my workplace in Arlington the next morning to pick me up and bring me over to take possession of the car. I've been driving since 1971 and have owned or leased a total of 11 different cars in 38 years, and the number of cars I've tried out includes dozens more. In all the time I've spent in showrooms, on test drives, or in the offices of business managers, I've never felt so well taken care of, and never gotten such a good deal. One more thing: the 2009 Forester 2.5X Limited is an unbelievably great vehicle...about $10,000 less than the Ford Escape Hybrid 4x4 I almost got, but comparable mileage and a far superior drive. Subaru's current designers are among the most sophisticated in the industry, and the new Forester is as sleek as it is practical. More

Having never purchased a new car, I had no idea what to expect. As soon as Mark introduced himself, I instantly felt comfortable, like I was going to be treated seriously instead of like a little girl shop expect. We had lots of questions and Mark took every question seriously, even our "silly girl questions" like which side the gas cap is on. Mark has an incredible talent for making people feel comfortable and not at all pressured. He was able to help me be optimistic as well as realistic about price, and it was very clear that he knew this car would be MY purchase. He was the reason we came back to Cityside Subaru after looking at several other dealers and meeting with several other salesmen. I could have bought my car from any other subaru dealer, but I wanted to buy my car from Mark.
