Mark talked with me like I was a friend or relative - not as someone trying to make a sale, and I very much appreciated his low-key, no-pressure approach. Spending large amounts of money usually gets me pre as someone trying to make a sale, and I very much appreciated his low-key, no-pressure approach. Spending large amounts of money usually gets me pretty rattled, but this experience was smooth and easy - even the paperwork. His test-drive route included every kind of situation and he pointed out specific features and capabilities of the vehicle throughout the drive. I also liked being introduced to the Service Writers and the Parts Department. I've been looking for this car for a long time and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire purchasing experience. I would - and will - highly recommend Mark and Cityside. Thanks very much, Mark. (You make a good cup of coffee, too) More
Hands down the best car buying experience i have ever had. It was a pleasure dealing with very honest and trustworthy people in such a low-stress low-pressure car buying environment. I negotiated a great price on a Subaru Forester over email and then it was literally 15-minutes worth of paperwork once i got to the dealership. They also took care of my "Cash for Clunkers" trade. I hope to buy my next car from CitySide Subaru too... And I absolutely recommend this dealership. More
Major repairs were needed on my 2001 Forester with 120,000 miles. Joe Cisek, the service manager, was able to very clearly explain what needed to be done and worked with me to keep the cost as low as 120,000 miles. Joe Cisek, the service manager, was able to very clearly explain what needed to be done and worked with me to keep the cost as low as possible while still performing the needed repairs. Because of this, the final cost was less than the estimate, a rare event in the world of car repair. Cityside also helped me secure some extended warranty support from Subaru of America and stood behind their own warranty on some prior service work that needed to be redone. More
The sales experience at CitySide was comfortable and easy. I went in knowing the model of the car I wanted, so that did simplify things. Mark was great to work with, negotiations were straightforward easy. I went in knowing the model of the car I wanted, so that did simplify things. No games, just a simple walk in, buy car, walk out. :-) Got a nice tour of the dealership and the service personnel were helpful in answering my question about tire pressure sensors. More
We bought a new 2003 Subaru Forester from CitySide and have used them exclusively for service of our car over the last 6 years. We had very few problems, until this year (2009) when we were told after 32 have used them exclusively for service of our car over the last 6 years. We had very few problems, until this year (2009) when we were told after 32,000 miles, that we needed a new transmission. The owner of the dealership agreed to take half the cost of the transmission off the bill, after we requested twice that we did not feel we should have to pay for what apparently was a defective transmission. The service manager, Joseph, was very helpful in negotiating this agreement for us, and the car seems to be running in excellent order now. Unfortunately, I do not know if I would ever choose to buy another Subaru. Everyone I have spoken with tells me there is no reason why a transmission should need to be replaced after only 32,000 miles. I'm sorry that Subaru was not able to stand behind its vehicle well enough to satisfy us. Before this happened, I was a staunch advocate of Subaru vehicles. More
I had a bald tire and failed my inspection sticker - so I went to a Midas just to get a new tire - they told me that I needed to buy 4 new tires so they would be even. I went to Midas because I was leaving went to a Midas just to get a new tire - they told me that I needed to buy 4 new tires so they would be even. I went to Midas because I was leaving for vacation the following day - so I need to get the tire fixed asap. I called Subuaru in Belmont- they didn't have an open appointment but they squeezed me in. They said all I needed was a new tire - bought one tire - instead of 4 - saved me $500 - I was on my way to the beach the following day! More
I met Mark on my first visit and he was friendly, helpful and best of all let me work at my own pace. He showed me a few cars and explained the various features. We originally drove one car and then left without the usual "what's it going to take to make a deal today". A few weeks passed in our busy schedule and Mark called to check in and let us know he'd be on vacation and updated us on the latest rebates. We looked around and more models, manufacturers and even stopped in at another dealer. I remembered Mark and before making any deals, I decided to go back and see if Mark could offer me the best fair deal to all. I rated the price good, because to me great means, his family went hungry that night. If you are looking for a great dealer to start a relationship with, as well as get a great car, I'd say call Mark at Cityside. Leave the mega dealers to fight amongst themselves! This is my first Subaru and I'm already looking forward to my next. More
I had the best experience at CitySide Subaru. I have been to other dealerships and was pressured and harassed, but not at CitySide! Don was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was patient and worked w been to other dealerships and was pressured and harassed, but not at CitySide! Don was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was patient and worked with me to solidify a fantastic deal. Don made it very easy to schedule a test drive and follow-up appointment. He was knowledgeable when it came to the different models and was able to thoroughly answer all of my questions. He spent a lot of time with me to show me all the ins and outs of the car when I went to pick it up. Throughout the whole process, I did not feel I had to worry about anything because I knew Don would take care of it. I highly recommend CitySide to anyone! I love my new car and have never been happier about a purchase! More

He has put together a route which demonstrates all of the features of the car and he doesn't rush you through it. When I came back with my wife to show her the car, he let us take it for a second test ride. Everyone there was knowledgeable and courteous. I gave them a 4 rating on quality of work, because of the tire pressures on the new car. All of the tires were within 5 psi of where they should have been, but none of them matched what it said on the sticker stuck to the door sill. On the front there was a 4 psi difference left to right and the average pressure in the rear was higher than in the front. This was probably as good a performance as I've ever had on a new car but I feel I need to mention it because it's easy to fix, (took me 15 minutes), and it's critical to the performance of the car. Aside from the tire pressures, the car was prepared perfectly. More
