Many of these dealers responded with a hard sell - which doesn't work for me at all. So, I was pleasantly surprised when not only did Lucas work to meet my budget, but he did it without pressuring me. I've been to four Subaru service departments, CitySide, Wakefield, Wilmington (out of business), and IRA (avoid, Caveat emptor). Also, CitySide uses original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. IRA Subaru did NOT, but I caught then replaced remanufactured parts with new OEM. More

My husband and I recently purchased our first new car together from Mark at Cityside Subaru in Belmont. This was the second dealership we went to test drive the 2009 Forester. We were trying to decide between the Legacy and the Forester. Mark was more than helpful; he took us out for a 15-20min test drive in each vehicle and really encouraged us to push the vehicles to get a good feel for them. After the test drives we were still unsure about which one we wanted, but we were sure we wanted a Subaru. After we weighed our choices we decided to get the roomer forester. We then shopped around for prices at almost a dozen dealerships. We even visited a couple that gave us really really low quotes, but left because they were not being honest and straight with us. These other dealerships made us anxious and pressured us into making a purchase right there on the spot. They even chased us out to our car and still tried to push the sale when we told them we needed more time to think it over. We decided to go back to Cityside and visit Mark. He explained everything along the way, even printing out what we were discussing and explaining the cost of every item. He was upfront and honest every step of the way. He never pressured us and at times even suggested we take extra time to think things over. It was truly unbelievable how different this dealership was compared to the others. We feel really confident about our purchase, the price and the product, and know Mark will be there if we have any problems. I would whole heartedly recommend Mark and Cityside to anyone who is interested in a Subaru. It's a great dealership for the whole family (even dogs)! More
