We visited several Subaru dealers to look for a particular model my wife wanted. Out of all the Subarus in the Boston area, Cityside was by far the friendliest and most upfront during negotiations. particular model my wife wanted. Out of all the Subarus in the Boston area, Cityside was by far the friendliest and most upfront during negotiations. Glen was great at presenting what Subaru had to offer without pushing anything onto us. We never felt pressured into anything and had a very pleasant overall experience. Wonderful and well organized dealership; good selection at competitive prices. People are friendly and informative without too much pressure. Mark L. and sales team were fabulous. He/they helped find the specific car that was ultimately of interest by price, color and features even though it had to be brought in from another dealer. He also made pick-up seamless and efficent; and even followed up a few days after purchase to see how/whether we were pleased with the new car. More
I'm innately suspicious of dealerships, but had heard great things about Cityside and was pleased with how I was handled. Unlike some other dealerships, they didn't float me a 'fake' price to start the great things about Cityside and was pleased with how I was handled. Unlike some other dealerships, they didn't float me a 'fake' price to start the negotiations, but instead worked from the truecar.com price from the start. In the end, they didn't offer me the lowest quote but I chose them anyway, because I value honest dealings and believe that it portends continued good interactions throughout the life of the car. I knew that I wanted to replace my 11-year old non-all wheel drive car with a Subaru because I know many Subaru owners who say that it's the best car for winter driving. I chose CitySide because it is not wheel drive car with a Subaru because I know many Subaru owners who say that it's the best car for winter driving. I chose CitySide because it is not far from my house and because I see lots of Subarus in this area with CitySide decals on the back. My first impression of the dealership was very good -- lots of cars to sit in in the showroom. When I was ready to talk to someone, I didn't have to wait, even though the place was fairly busy. I was able to test drive a Legacy right away and I liked the feel of the car. I needed to think about my decision, so I was glad that no one tried to pressure me. I returned the next day, though, and bought the car that I had test drove. I found everyone at the dealership to be friendly, interested in listening and answering questions, and very efficient in handling and completing all the paperwork. This car-buying experience was very smooth and actually pleasant. Now that I own a Subaru, other Subaru owners tell me that "it's the best car!" More
Purchasing a new car was never so seamless as at CitySide Subaru. They were so helpful, friendly, patient and knowledgeable--a very personal customer service approach. None of the usual high-pressure sales. Subaru. They were so helpful, friendly, patient and knowledgeable--a very personal customer service approach. None of the usual high-pressure sales. Refreshing! Instead, they really listened to what I was looking for in a car and helped me discern the best choice for me. They were honest about which models/options didn't suit my needs as well. I appreciated that. It is so rare to find that kind of integrity in a sales environment. I got an excellent price too! I know because I'd done my research. Once I settled in on what I wanted, they located the exact car in seconds. Even though it was in New Hampshire, they got it here in a day. They handled all the insurance and registry details. No muss, no fuss! They even removed the canoe racks off my old car for me before trade-in. They also took the time to give me a thorough orientation in my new car, including taking me out on a nearby hill to make sure I knew how to work the new emergency brake and anti-rollback features. Before I knew it, I was confidently driving away in my new car--with a huge smile on my face. Although I bought my last Subaru 11 years ago from a different dealership (with a very different sales experience), I have been getting my service done at CitySide Subaru since my move to the Belmont area 10 years ago. Based on my fantastic past experience with their service dept. (thanks, Joe, Mike, Brian and Brian!), I really feel like my new Subaru and I are in excellent hands. I would highly recommend CitySide Subaru with confidence, both for sales and service!!! More
Arrogant sales manager and sales person. Both of whom refused to give us a price via email or phone even though we had taken the time to visit their showroom and drive one of their cars. After a very horrible experience at Honda of Boston, we decided to start looking at different car makers and were already interested in Subaru as an alternative to Honda. We were greeted quickly and Mark, our salesman, went out of his way to help work with us. He asked questions to find our needs, got an idea of what we were looking for and what we wanted to spend and we were able to negotiate a deal for a new lease. The whole experience was very pleasant, quick and painless. We chose City Side Subaru because it was convenient location for us. More
