We went to CitySide because it was conveniently located and we were interested in a small AWD car. Michael Nelson was very pleasant and helpful, knowledgeable about the Impreza models, and had no problem and we were interested in a small AWD car. We came in thinking we wanted the Outback Sport, but when we described what options we really wanted he suggested the less expensive 2.5i Premium -- bonus points for that. Shopped on Tuesday, drove the car home on Friday. There were a couple of annoying aspects to the process, but they are probably not under the dealer's control. First, we couldn't get a best-and-final price from them -- we had to make an offer. This method of haggling left us thinking we could have gotten a better deal. Second, we got a very low price for our trade-in. Third, the standard warranties don't show much manufacturer confidence in their product, and the optional extra-cost extended warranties (and special treatment for protecting the paint!) seem like high-margin add-ons that shouldn't be necessary. We've had the car for one day and it's working fine so far. After reading an earlier review, I guess I should check the tire pressure. More

(I wish I read this site before contacting a dealer, tell your car shopping friends about it.) Rob is a great find. He was honest, direct, intelligent and very easy to deal with over email and phone. He provided a fast, clear quote and was eager to help me save a couple of hundred dollars over another dealer. Had the new local dealer not been in such an easy to reach location I would have called Rob Krasow first and likely would have made a good purchase from him. I strongly encourage people to consider calling or emailing him. He was not 'your father's car salesman'. More

We our the proud owners of a new Impreza WRX from Cityside. The bulk of our experience was with Mark Lidano, who we were very pleased with. The employees at Cityside are always courteous, take the time to explain what the problem is and how they intend to address it, and they tell you up front what the charges will be. I have never felt that they are pushing to do more work than what is necessary, as has been my experience at other dealers. I brought my Outback in recently because I thought I heard a grinding noise coming from one of the brakes. They examined it and found no problems, told me that there was ample pad depth left for another 10,000 miles and didn't charge me anything. They have a small but sufficient waiting room with TV and another area where you can set up your laptop and have free Keurig coffee. Not the Taj Mahal, but very nice, always clean. We bought our car here, as well, and got the best deal around. We like it so much that we drive to Belmont from Milton to get the car serviced. I would highly recommend this dealership (and have!) This is my second Subaru purchase from Glen. While at other places I feel like I'm talking to a car dealer, at CitySide I feel like they do everything they can to get me in the car I want at the price I other places I feel like I'm talking to a car dealer, at CitySide I feel like they do everything they can to get me in the car I want at the price I want with no pressure. Glen is honest about the car he thinks you need even if it's the less expensive option. There is no feeling of them trying to squeeze every dollar out of you. And I actually enjoyed "bargaining" with Glen and Dan Rosengarten both times. Plus the service department is phenomenal - very friendly and fast. More
