We originally went to the dealership hoping we'd see a car we'd found on-line, but alas, it was sold. We asked to see something similar, and Mark showed us a nice used Forester. We took it on a test drive car we'd found on-line, but alas, it was sold. We asked to see something similar, and Mark showed us a nice used Forester. We took it on a test drive, and, as other people have said on this site, he does have an excellent route that shows off every feature of the car. When we went back to the dealership, we asked if we could take it to a mechanic. No problem, they said. The mechanic found a couple of things, such as the need for rear tires (the wear was very uneven, considering it's an AWD), and it was one of the things we'd asked about while we were testing it. There was also a mystery thump in the car, and we had to negotiate price and some maintenance, but the negotiations were short and amicable, and the car was ready (with the mystery thump resolved!) exactly when we wanted it. One other little thing was that my credit union told me to get certain paperwork while I was there, and in the end, we had to call from the c. u. office to have it done, instead of it being handed to us when we asked, but we did get it that day, and we got our car when we wanted, and Mark made a follow up call a few days later to make sure that we were enjoying the car, which showed us that we weren't forgotten about the minute we drove off the lot. After a stressful experience at another subaru dealership, it was a relief to work with MarK and his team at Cityside. You get very personalized service with limited BS. my initial contact was the GM. i asked for a WRX sedan with nav, in blue. The GM asked if was flex on color, and he had a salesman call me. came that evening for test drive, loved the car, went back to with nav, in blue. The GM asked if was flex on color, and he had a salesman call me. came that evening for test drive, loved the car, went back to dealer office, negotiated in excellent good faith in less 15 minutes for a good deal for me and the dealer. maybe the BEST buying experience ever. Salesman was meticulous about every detail, to make sure i was in the zone. The salesman didn't play "sales" talk, just was my advocate. didn't try to distract me or xx or obfuscate issues...was upfront. i gotta say, i would receommend the salesman again and again, and i am a salesman. the funny thing, although i didn't care where i bot it, the dealer is like less than 4 miles from my home! when i came to pick up the car, everything was made easy for me. the thing is this, i never met the salesman before, but it felt like we had been doing business for years. We had a very good experience at Cityside Subaru. Mark was friendly and accessible through the whole process. Once I got serious about purchasing a Subaru and had done my research the negotiations were straightforward and quick. While the after market stuff was offered there wasn’t the expected heavy sales pressure that usually accompanies it. I would recommend this dealership. More
We had one of our best car buying experiences (and this was our 10th car). The sales team was helpful without being overly aggressive (which we hate during the sales experience). We still had all our quest was our 10th car). The sales team was helpful without being overly aggressive (which we hate during the sales experience). We still had all our questions answered and concerns addressed. We will be recommending Citiside to any friends who are considering a Subaru. More
Went in on cash-4-clunker. Came out with a new 2010 Outback. Reasonable price. I am not one for xx and loath high pressure sales, but dealership made this purchase a pleasant, smooth transation. MARK LIDANO REPRESENTED CITYSIDE SUBARU WELL. HE WAS KNEW THE CARS WELL AND ANSWERED OUR QUESTIONS FORTHRIGHTLY. Mark talked with me like I was a friend or relative - not as someone trying to make a sale, and I very much appreciated his low-key, no-pressure approach. Spending large amounts of money usually gets me pre as someone trying to make a sale, and I very much appreciated his low-key, no-pressure approach. Spending large amounts of money usually gets me pretty rattled, but this experience was smooth and easy - even the paperwork. His test-drive route included every kind of situation and he pointed out specific features and capabilities of the vehicle throughout the drive. I also liked being introduced to the Service Writers and the Parts Department. I've been looking for this car for a long time and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire purchasing experience. I would - and will - highly recommend Mark and Cityside. Thanks very much, Mark. (You make a good cup of coffee, too) More
Hands down the best car buying experience i have ever had. It was a pleasure dealing with very honest and trustworthy people in such a low-stress low-pressure car buying environment. I negotiated a great price on a Subaru Forester over email and then it was literally 15-minutes worth of paperwork once i got to the dealership. They also took care of my "Cash for Clunkers" trade. I hope to buy my next car from CitySide Subaru too... And I absolutely recommend this dealership. More
Major repairs were needed on my 2001 Forester with 120,000 miles. Joe Cisek, the service manager, was able to very clearly explain what needed to be done and worked with me to keep the cost as low as 120,000 miles. Joe Cisek, the service manager, was able to very clearly explain what needed to be done and worked with me to keep the cost as low as possible while still performing the needed repairs. Because of this, the final cost was less than the estimate, a rare event in the world of car repair. Cityside also helped me secure some extended warranty support from Subaru of America and stood behind their own warranty on some prior service work that needed to be redone. More
